Very disappointing
We drove down to Orlando for my son's 13th birthday. I received the check on information via email around 12pm from the owner. We arrived around 7pm we noticed that the hot tub out back was in the process of being dismantled and there was exposed wires and electric saws out in the patio. I went to message the homeowner about it and saw that he had left messages through VRBO that I did not receive via email, First asking that we would wait to check in until 6pm instead of 4pm because the AC was not functioning and then after that there was a message that he was going to have to cancel our stay. I got on the phone with VRBO expressing my frustration as we were sitting in the parking lot outside the condo, not knowing what the heck to do. They said that the owner was offering us to still stay there if we had wanted to. We absolutely refused, not just because of the issues we had with check-in, but the fact that the hot tub was literally being cut in half as we were there which was dangerous for our kids and we had no place to sit outside. The property never should have been listed for availability in the first place. However, VRBO after an hour of being on the phone with them was able to get us checked into a nice hotel and paid for the first night. Also our money was refunded instantly. Overall it worked out and the place that we ended up staying at was much nicer but I would never recommend this property.
