About this property

The Barn at Maple Hill | Perfect Couples Getaway!

The Barn is a fully-contained guest cottage with a king-size bed on the upper level. The main floor is a fully open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The barn provides a full kitchen that includes an apartment-size refrigerator & dishwasher, combo washer/dryer, and all other modern kitchen needs. The living room provides a large TV with Roku streaming capabilities. The main floor bathroom includes a soaker tub and handheld shower only (please note that the water heater is small and typically only fills the tub halfway with hot water).

The Barn at Maple Hill was once a fully functioning barn that was converted in 2018 into a beautiful one-bedroom guest cottage with everything guests would need for a cozy weekend or a longer stay. It was moved to its current location in the 1950s from a neighboring family farm, but the underlying timber frame is over 100 years old. Some of the original framing elements were preserved in the conversion, including the interior sliding barn door and the timbers for the stair railing.

The Barn has a private entrance and separate parking area tucked in behind the main house and is situated on 20 acres in the foothills of the Pisgah National Forest that guests are welcome to explore. Two creeks cross the property just in front of The Rock House and across the road from The Barn which guests can enjoy.

PLEASE NOTE: On the same property is The Rock House at Maple Hill which may be rented separately. For security reasons, there is an OUTDOOR security camera. This home comes equipped with WIFI and offers speeds of 400 Mbps.

Greybeard Rentals manages vacation rentals and vacation cabins in Asheville, Black Mountain, Montreat, Old Fort and surrounding areas. Located 10-15 minutes from downtown Asheville, Black Mountain is a quaint town with many great shopping options, delicious restaurants, breweries and access to hiking trails and wilderness areas. TripAdvisor named Black Mountain one of America's Prettiest Towns in 2017. Asheville is home to award-winning restaurants, and stunning mountain views with access to areas like the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Biltmore Estate, and a variety of local art and culture. Oh, and did we mention Asheville has had the record for having more breweries per capita than any other U.S. city? We held the title for Beer City USA in 2009. Hiking trails are also located throughout western North Carolina.
