About this property
Cozy Cove Cabin | Pet Friendly & Creek Access
Thoughtfully outfitted with charming and vintage furnishings, cozy is exactly what you'll be at this quintessential mountain log cabin. With a traditional A-frame ceiling, the cabin is filled with natural light, showcasing an open-concept main floor. The kitchen is outfitted for the chef in your group and ready for exquisite meals at "home." Also on the main floor is a bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bathroom with hallway access.
A loft, overlooking the treetops, provides a primary sleeping space with king size bed, reading nook, and full bathroom. The back deck offers mountain views in the winter and lush greenery in the summer, overlooking the spacious backyard with a small creek that runs throughout the property. Interested in extra entertainment space or privacy? The lower level of the cabin offers a den with a television and games, a bedroom with a queen size bed, an office with a dedicated workspace, and a laundry area that includes a full bathroom.
Cozy Cove Cabin is the perfect jumping-off spot to explore all that the surrounding areas have to offer! Stay close to home to enjoy the neighborhood picnic area nestled beside the creek that offers grills and picnic tables that are perfect for that family BBQ in the summer, or take a 25-minute drive to reach the quaint town of Old Fort. Known as the “Gateway to the Blue Ridge,” Old Fort sits at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is surrounded by lush forests and a diverse wildlife community. Old Fort's Native American and railroad history can be felt throughout town—including a hand-carved, 14-foot rose granite arrowhead on top of a 15-foot river rock with a concrete base featured in the middle of town. You can also find local favorite Hillman Beer in the middle of downtown, with its savory burgers, gorgeous river views, and cold brews.
Within the mountains of Old Fort, you'll find Pisgah National Forest with over 67,000 acres that include hemlock forests, cove forests, bogs, and fens. Andrew's Geyser, Catawba Falls, and Point Lookout Trail are among some of the oldest and most celebrated outdoor attractions in Old Fort. Catawba Falls is a stunning 100-foot cascading waterfall, and Point Lookout Trail is a popular 4-mile paved trail that ascends almost 1,000 feet through the Swannanoa Gap.
Take a 25-30 minute drive to reach the neighboring towns of Black Mountain and Marion. Known as the “Front Porch of Western North Carolina,” Black Mountain, boasts 3 local breweries (Lookout Brewing, Pisgah Brewing, and Black Mountain Brewing) along with novelty shops, art galleries, parks, and incredible restaurants like Foothills Grange, Louise's Kitchen, and Pure & Proper. Visit the other small town of Marion and spend your afternoon exploring the new 310 District, an indoor shopping space that's home to Marion Wing Factory, Toonez Chop House, Marion Hot Wheelz indoor skating rink, Chances of Sprinkles Bakery, and several retail shops.
Take a 35-minute drive south to reach the village of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Spend your days hiking on the various trails within Chimney Rock State Park, browsing the adorable shops, strolling atop the quirky and colorful Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, or enjoying family-friendly fun at Lake Lure's "mountain" beach & water park. Remember that no trip to Western North Carolina is complete without visiting the “Land of Sky,” Asheville just 45 minutes away. While there, check out the hip and artsy West Asheville district, North Carolina Arboretum, and iconic Biltmore Estate, and sample the award-winning restaurants and breweries between all your activities.
Please note: This home is pet-friendly with an additional fee. There is 1 exterior security camera by the front door. The hot tub at the property is NOT available for guest use. There is a queen air mattress and floor futon available for guest use.

Hosted by Greybeard Rentals
Greybeard Rentals manages vacation rentals and vacation cabins in Asheville, Black Mountain, Montreat, Old Fort and surrounding areas. Located 10-15 minutes from downtown Asheville, Black Mountain is a quaint town with many great shopping options, delicious restaurants, breweries and access to hiking trails and wilderness areas. TripAdvisor named Black Mountain one of America's Prettiest Towns in 2017. Asheville is home to award-winning restaurants, stunning mountain views with access to areas like the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Biltmore Estate, and a variety of local art and culture. Oh, and did we mention Asheville has had the record for having more breweries per capita than any other U.S. city? We held the title for Beer City USA in 2009. Hiking trails are also located throughout western North Carolina.
