Jamesey's Cottage is a charming stone built holiday house. The house overlooks Caragh Lake on the Ring of Kerry, on the Wild Atlantic Way and has fantastic views of Dingle Bay and the lake. The home has been built using natural stone, wood beams, slate and teak windows and features a vaulted lounge with a stone fireplace. The large cottage (250sqm/2650sqft) has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and sleeps 11 people. The home is ideal for 2 families or 1 large family. Sorry, strictly no pets.

The lounge/dining room has an open fire with comfortable sofas. The oak dining table seats up to 11 people. There is a bay window overlooking the patio gardens and lake.

Upstairs there is an ensuite bedroom with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Also a games room with sofa and DVD player.

Downstairs there are 4 bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms and two that share a family bathroom.

The patio overlooks the lake and has outdoor dinning table and chairs. There is a fire pit and BBQ. The area is ideal for warm summer evenings.

Beautiful views!
We had a great stay at this house! The views are amazing and it is very peaceful. Two issues we had: the advertisement with VRBO states there is a dryer. Our group of 7 packed lightly for this trip so we needed laundry service at the house. The dryer is not an actual clothes dryer, but is only a line dryer. This was not convenient at all for our group. The other issue was the 4.5-5 mile road leading to the house. Be aware that it is a VERY narrow road and will take some time to navigate each and every time you make a trip out by car. Other than those two issues, I would definitely recommend this place!

Girls getaway
What started out as a golfers trip changed to a siblings and significant others trip with the girls (9) staying at Jamesey’s Cottage and the boys (9) staying at a different location about 16km away. We had a fantastic time at Jamesey’s Cottage with the awesome views from a beautiful home. And, had we been able to pick the weather we would want for our trip, we couldn’t have picked better, it was fantastic. Hope to come back in the future.

Great family vacation spot!
Beautiful surroundings with a spectacular view of the lake. The closest town of Killorglin is about 15 minutes away and has a large choice of super markets. We loved visiting the County of Kerry and coming back in the evening to a comfortable environment with a large room downstairs and a play area for kids upstairs. Excellent communication with the host. We highly recommend Jamesy's Cottage.

Fantastic situation in the ring of Kerry
Viewpoint and starting point for the discovering of the whole Ring of Kerry environment. All hot spots are close by, from the Heritage centre of Skellig to the top of the Carantuohill.

Perfect peace
The cottage was much more spacious than we expected and the games room was a huge bonus for 3 active boys. The setting was superb with the most wonderful views all around. The goat herd at the bottom of the garden a delight for us all. The absolute peace was magnificent with only nature's sounds. The kitchen was very well equipped but a sieve would have been good. The colander was huge. The shower trap in the attic bedroom had not been de-haired for months, so I fixed that. We had an absolutely fantastic stay and the children all want to come back.

We had an excellent week at Jameseys providing enough space and confort for our group of 9, perfect location to explore the area : ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park and the Reeks in the backyard. The view on Lough Caragh and Dingle bay is fabulous !

What an incredible view! It was a bit off the beaten path, but the drive was definitely worth it. Our hosts provided a clean, spacious home, with room for the whole family. We could not have asked for more. They even provided some basic pantry items which I was sure we would have to purchase. Flowers in the garden are lovely.

Breath taking views 360°. Lovely cottage with so much space. All needs were met with well supplied kitchen and appliances. Secluded area to wander and take in the amazing views. Highly recommend.

Trip to Ireland
We chose this location for the beautiful home and the tranquil location. It is conveniently located to Kilarney and the Ring of Kerry. I main goal in this location while heading to Cork from Dublin was to see the Kilarney National Park and the Ring of Kerry. This place was a fantastic retreat at the end of the day!!

Beautiful setting in the Irish Countryside
The house is beautiful, but the setting overlooking the valley and lake is the real star. This was the perfect place to unwind in between sightseeing.

Utter Tranquility; Stunning Views
This property is well-appointed, well-kept, and well worth learning to navigate the very narrow country lane to get there. We stayed for one week. A few days of our stay we would just drive each morning to the delightful village of Killorglin and do our daily shopping -- butcher shop, grocery store, bakery/coffee shop -- and spend the day cooking and relaxing in the solitude with sweeping vistas to Lake Caragh and the Ring of Dingle. Note: Traffic can he horrible! :-) Sometimes the sheep decide to escape their meadows and walk along the road or take naps on the warm asphalt. They are gracious enough to leave when you approach, though. We also saw wild goats (about 25-30 of them) and a few wild rabbits. Day trips from this location are easy -- and it's so nice to return to this utterly peaceful property. Indeed, there were times we thought there was something wrong with our hearing because of the absolute silence: no wind, no birdcalls, no bugs buzzing around -- just the sun peeking out of the clouds and lighting up the heather-clad hills. We truly enjoyed this property -- a "must" if you are trying to get away from it all.

We will be back!
Location is a slice of heaven - a car is a must! This stunning property is equipped with all you need for an off grid break. Sheep and bunnies visit daily and the views are sensational. Only downside is the amount of flies inside the property - we tried to deal with this daily but we kept losing the battle and this was a little soul destroying. Perhaps the property would benefit from a full deep clean on a more regular basis. On the whole, we can’t wait to come back!

gite très calme, pas de bruit de voiture, belle vue sur le lac Caragh randonnées à proximité chambres spacieuses avec salle de bain : douche ou baignoire(idéale pour les bébés) cuisine ,il ne manque rien grand jardin fleuri avec terrasse et mobilier de jardin en ce qui concerne les visites; idéal pour visiter les 3 péninsules(Dingle,Iveragh et Beara) L'année dernière avec les amis, cette année avec nos enfants et petites filles, tout c'est très bien passé. Nous le recommandons.

Stunning Scenery, Privacy and Seclusion!
Our family really enjoyed our short stay at Jamesey's Cottage. The views at the cottage brought tears to my eyes as we pulled up to the property! The location was very private and secluded - we didn't see anything but sheep and rabbits while there! You are still a short drive from the town of Killorglin, for anything you may need for your stay. The house itself is absolutely beautiful! All bedrooms have ensuites and the main living area was very comfortable. Theo even supplied plenty of wood for our stay, much appreciated! Communication with Theo was excellent while staying at the cottage. Unfortunately, we had rain 2 out of our 3 days while there! We would love to return to Jamesey's Cottage on our next trip to Ireland!

Great family vacation
Our family spent a week at the cottage for my daughter’s graduation celebration. Absolutely beautiful location with a breathtaking view! Road to the cottage is narrow and was taken slowly; incredible landscape and lots to see along the way! Communication with the hosts was great; appreciated their responsiveness!! Would highly recommend for a stay and hoping to get back some day for another visit!!

Jamesey Cottage
Spectacular !!!! We were in Ireland for my daughters wedding and stayed here. The cottage was perfect and a lot larger than we thought. The views are incredible! I'm not much of a hiker/walker but I found myself walking and enjoying the Irish country side. Theo was the perfect host. Although the drive is a little daring, the end result is so worth it! I would HIGHLY recommend this Irish Cottage to anyone that really wants to get away and enjoy the true beauty of Ireland, Thanks Theo for being a part of our families wonderful trip and making our daughters destination wedding so special. Superbe, magnifique et accueillante demeure
Les photos sont déjà belles sur le site mais ne rendent pas compte de la vue si magnifique admiré tout au long du séjour ! On pourrait rester la semaine juste à regarder ou à peindre ce panorama! La route pour y accéder dure 15 minutes de Killorglin : des mini-routes mais, après un peu d'appréhension au début, nous nous y sommes faits vite et y avons trouvé beaucoup de charme (les moutons, les montagnes, les lacs ponctuent la route)! La maison est splendide : salon très cocooning avec cheminée, chambres très spacieuses avec salle d'eau pour chacune, lits faits à l'arrivée et literie de qualité ! Une très grande salle de jeux avec : legos, peluches, baby-foot, enceinte de karaoke, cd, dvd, livres (en anglais)... la maison chauffe très vite et nous coupions en journée et la nuit car très bien isolee! Nous avons pu faire la presqu'île de Beara, Dingle et Slea Head, le parc de Killarney, la presqu'île du Kerry au sud puis au nord et une petite randonnée (il y en a très peu au final en irlande) en forêt à castle rock à 15 minutes de la maison vers kenmare! Les propriétaires ont toujours reagi rapidement à nos questions, merci à eux! En bref, la maison rêvée pour des vacances !

Absolutely amazing stay at Jamesey’s Cottage!! The views from the cottage were unforgettable
Myself and 7 friends had an amazing stay at Theo and Clodagh’s property. Spacious and quiet with amazing views over the lake. The facilities were all great quality and communication very easy. Not far from loads of different attractions and lovely pubs. Well be back again!
