Quiet House In the Woods

This was a great location and the house was very comfortable. In addition to normal things you'd expect like cookware and utensils, the hosts have provided things like basic spices, cooking oil, and other staple items to make the visit more comfortable. The location backs backs to woods and marsh, so it was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed watching the sandhill cranes and ducks. The hosts were great too. We enjoyed getting an opportunity to meet them We suggested a something that would make our stay more comfortable and it appeared at our doorstep when we were out that evening. I highly recommend this property and will stay here again.

Amazing adventure

The property had additional amenities if needed. The owner invited us to use the BBQ grill and other outside equipment. It was extremely nice to see there were groceries in the fridge the owner provided, so I did not enter into an empty home. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. We will definitely rent with this owner again. I love the open line of communication we had the entire time. My family and I thank you for such an amzing place.

I grew up in Kasilof/Kenai Alaska and graduated from high school at Kenai Central High School.

Why they chose this property

My parents live on the 20 acres in Kasilof and this property is on 20 acres of the property back by a marsh that looks out to the hills. You will see baby moose in the spring with their mommas, occasional foxes, lots of wild rabbits and our famous bald eagles flying high up above.

What makes this property unique

Kasilof/Soldotna/Kenai is the Salmon fishing capital of the world. People travel internationally to come and enjoy the great fishing on the Kenai Peninsula. The Kasilof River is only 1.5 miles from this location which has two major salmon runs during the summer months.
