Classic Chalet w/Hot tub + king beds, Mtn 5 mins
The K Chalet is your own classic ski chalet with a hot tub in the heart of Killington. Right off the Killington Access Road, only a 5 minute drive to the lifts for skiing/snowboarding and all mountain activities! Restaurants, coffee shops, market/delis, and ski and snowboard shops are minutes away by car or foot. Enjoy a large hot tub and BBQ grill, both available year round. Excellent internet & cell phone service (hard to find!) We provide everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.
The K Chalet Killington is a classic 1970s Ski Chalet. It might not be modern but it is clean, comfy, and a perfect Vermont style house for your trip to Killington. This is a single-family home that your group will have all to yourselves, including a private hot tub!
Enter into the main level where you will find an open concept living room, kitchen, and dining area. Wall to wall windows on one side offer seasonal views of Killington Mountain through the trees. The living room has an easy-to-use pellet stove that provides warmth and ambiance. The main level also includes a full bathroom and one of three bedrooms. The main level bedroom has a California King size bed and sleeps up to 2 people.
The second floor includes two bedrooms. One bedroom has a California King size bed (sleeps up to 2) and the other has two twin beds plus a twin bunk bed (sleeps up to 4).
The house also has an unfinished basement with storage space for your skis, snowboards, golf clubs, or other sports equipment, plus a second full bathroom and a washer and dryer. The basement is set up with an air hockey table for entertainment.
The large front yard offers a great place for gathering outdoors. The private hot tub is open all year. We have a grill and a fire pit available for guest use.
Guests have full access to the whole house and basement.
The main deck that can be accessed through the glass door.
Beth, Kurt, and Chris live in New Jersey but are avid snowboarders and have been visiting Killington for many years. We may or may not be in town while you are at the house. We are only a message away to help with any of your questions and have local backup if something is needed in person.
The house is located 1/4 mile off the access road. It’s just far enough away from downtown Killington where you can enjoy privacy and still be minutes from everything.
Killington Mountain Access:
-2 mile drive to K1 Gondola, Snowshed, Snowdon, and Rams Head lifts with multiple parking lots to choose from.
-Hourly bus 1/4 mile from house to/from base lodges
Nightlife/Bars:
Many places offer a free shuttle.
Uber/lift
Long-term stays encouraged.
HOUSE RULES-
1) No Parties. The neighbors are quick to call if anything begins to get out of hand, so please do not intend to have a party or it will be shut down immediately and your reservation will end without refund.
2) Occupancy limits: Be sure to book with the correct number of guests. Unless given prior approval from the host, there cannot be any more than 8 persons in or on the property at any one point in time. A violation of this could result in immediate removal of all guests without refund and will result in a $100/per person per day penalty.
3) Self check-in: Please inform your host of your anticipated check in and check out time so we can efficiently coordinate our turnovers. This is a self check-in property. You certify that you are willing and able to follow instructions that you are being provided by Airbnb through the check in guide as well as messages you’ve received from your host on the Airbnb platform and via your email account linked to the Airbnb platform. You can find your check in guide in your trip Itinerary under the “Trips” tab. You also agree that you will read your check in instructions before contacting your Airbnb host with questions.
4) Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. Our property's quiet hours of 10pm to 7am are in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. We care a lot about maintaining good relationships with our community, so we appreciate you following our "house rules" during your stay.

5) This house is privately owned; the owners and managers are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities (including use of hot tub). The Homeowners and managers are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
6) Keep the property and all furnishings in good order and use the furnishings only for their intended use. Bunk beds are inherently dangerous. Please monitor children when in use. Absolutely no jumping on/off the beds. The loft area in the living room is not for sleeping. Please do not let anyone in your group sleep in the loft.
7) Only use appliances for their intended uses and do not flush any paper products or other products except for toilet paper in the toilet. Do not flush any type of wipes, paper towels, feminine hygiene products, diapers, etc. Any of these items can damage our septic system and you will be charged accordingly.
8) Fireplace/Wood Stove: When using fireplace/wood stove guests must follow instructions properly located next to fireplace.
9) No smoking or illegal drugs allowed inside the home. Smoking Fee - $200 per night smoking fee. This is a non-smoking building. Any type of smoke is prohibited. You are welcome to smoke outside. Please clean up your own cigarette butts and ash outside, do not just throw butts on the ground outside. There will be a $1 fee for each cigarette butt that we have to pick up.
10) Hot Tub Rules:
-All guests must shower before entering hot tub.
-No glass in or around the hot tub and please use care to not spill drinks in the hot tub.
-Add a ½ capful of chlorine to the hot tub and turn the jets on high after EACH use.
-Keep cover on and clipped at all times when hot tub is not in use. Without the clips, the wind can blow the cover off.
11) Storms:
If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:
• The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or
• A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest.
• The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund:
o Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
o Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
o Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.
12) Fee schedule:
Pet Fee - $100 per pet per stay. Pets are welcome as long they are 100% house trained (meaning no accidents in the house, will not constantly bark, howl, or cry when left alone and will not scratch at the door or chew furniture) completely cleaned up after (poop outside and fur inside), 100% pest-free (fleas and ticks), and kept OFF the beds. Pets must be dried off completely before entering the house. Under no circumstances are pets allowed in the hot tub. Please cover the couches with sheets provided if your pet will be on the couch, please also wash this “pet sheet” prior to checkout separately from the bed sheets. Upon booking please inform the host that you will be bringing a pet(s) that meets the above criteria and the pet fee(s) will be manually added to the reservation by the host. An additional minimum charge of $50 will be applied for each pet accident or fur cleanup.
Late Checkout Fee - minimum of $100. Additional charge can be added depending on time of checkout. Unauthorized late checkout is a $300 fee.
Extra Cleaning Fee – Minimum $50. Our cleaning fee is based on a “Courteous guest” that leaves the place in similar condition to which it was found. Extra cleaning fees incurred by host from turnover crew will be the responsibility of the guest.
Misuse of Hot Tub Fee – If the hot tub is found in poor condition from violation(s) of the hot tub rules, a minimum fee of $200 will be applied.
Any violation of any house rule (checking out late, leaving a mess, etc) that results in additional losses to the host for having to discount or refund the next guest will be the full responsibility of the offending guest in addition to any applicable fees.
