Sugar Shack with Game Room, Bar and Spa

WELCOME TO OUR ENTERTAINERS DELIGHT! Lovingly known as "Sugar Shack" by the home owners, it's a place of complete retreat while still being close to local amenities like the local grill, store, ski resorts and hiking! The game/bar area of this homes is truly inviting, spurring relaxation and endless memories. Enjoy our backyard fitted with a warm bubbling spa, fire pit, BBQ, seating and a picnic table. This home is lovingly adorned with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Easy walk to Kallan's Bar and Grill and the Mini Mart as well as the Post Office and local trails.

The local trail area known as "Maple Trails" start at the lot next to the high school. Maple Trails are also sled free areas when snow and weather permits. These are also wonderful trails for Hone your mountain bike skills.

You will have everything you need to enjoy your stay in comfort. The bar area has extra heating as well as some games and bar ware.

The back yard is equipped with turn making the outdoor very clean by Big Bear standards. The spa is cleaned prior to each guests arrival and inspected by the spa company.

Our outdoor area has plenty of chairs, umbrellas and areas to connect with friends and family.

Our living area has a wood barbing stove as well as a heater. If ambiance is your ting then this living room will do the trick. Enjoy a dinner around our families dining table with a nearby fire.
[MANAGEMENT RULES]

1) Vacation rental properties undergo wear and tear due to heavy use. While we strive to provide a clean and comfortable environment, we may have limitations, and perfection isn't guaranteed. Homeowners schedule repairs like carpet cleaning, yard work, and cosmetic fixes during the off-season to minimize disruption to guests. Please report any safety concerns or issues immediately, and we appreciate feedback to address concerns reasonably. All properties are inspected before arrival, and any damages must be reported upon check-in to avoid responsibility for the repair costs.
2) Smoking is not allowed in any of our vacation rentals. Smoking is not allowed outside by any open window/door.
3) Ensure whether the house is listed as pet-friendly or not

***Before You Travel***
1) Educate yourself regarding travel updates and restrictions. You may visit the County and City websites:

- The City of Big Bear Lake's official tourism site
2) Summit Real Estate will not be responsible for changes incurred by any local, state, or federal agencies.
3) Please do your homework before you travel.

***Cancellation, Accommodation Changes, & Refund***
1) We follow a moderate cancellation policy. “Moderate” might mean different depending on the platform.
2) Summit Real Estate Enterprises may replace your rental home with similar accommodations if it becomes uninhabitable or is removed from our program. You will be informed and provided with alternative options. If the offered property does not meet your requirements and you opt not to stay, you can receive a full refund upon initiating cancellation. We retain the right to cancel for any reason.
3) Refunds will not be issued for circumstances beyond our control, which include but are not limited to acts of nature or weather-related issues, unforeseen mechanical/electrical failures during your stay, or road closures. However, if all three access roads to and from Big Bear are closed for more than four hours simultaneously, you may reschedule your stay for another time in the same home. Please note that you will be responsible for paying any price difference if the new rate is higher.

***Check-in & Check-Out***
1) Check-in between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Contact the host if you will arrive after 8 p.m. to make arrangements.
2) In-person check-in is required at the Summit office. Registered guests must be present with an ID.

3) Check-out by 10 a.m.
4) For late check-out requests, please send a TEXT to your host on the morning of departure. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request based on occupancy and staffing availability.

***Arrival & Departure***
1) Early arrivals and late departures are NOT available during holidays and peak season
2) During non-peak/non-holiday stays, please TEXT your host the morning of your arrival to see if an early check-in is possible.
3) The registered guest must arrive to check-in unless the host has approved alternate arrangements in advance.
4) Late check-ins can dramatically affect your experience. If you are arriving late at night, it can directly affect the quality of your stay regarding hot tub readiness, snow removal, locating and accessing the property, etc. No credits will be given to parties that arrive late and experience difficulties. We will make every effort to resolve issues the following day during regular business hours.

- An emergency is a situation that poses an immediate risk to health, life, property, or environment.
3) Please DO NOT text after 9 p.m. unless you have an emergency issue.
4) Service is NOT available after 7 p.m. for any hot tub, barbecue, or internet/TV issues. After-hours service is for emergencies only. Services resume the following day during normal business hours.

***Service Animals***
1) All our homes welcome Service Animals as defined by the ADA.
2) Please note that according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), dogs whose SOLE function is to provide comfort or emotional support DO NOT qualify as service animals. As a result, we do NOT permit them on properties that are designated as NOT PET FRIENDLY. THIS HOME IS NOT PET FRIENDLY!
3) If you have any questions, please contact the host. We appreciate your cooperation in advance.

[HOUSE RULES]

1) Respect your neighbors. Voices carry. Be sure to keep noise levels to a minimum to avoid disrupting the local residents.
3) Stay within the number of vehicles allowed. Street parking is prohibited.
4) Please adhere to the host's trash guidelines to avoid a $25 fee per bag for improper disposal.
5) Do NOT rearrange furniture.
6) Do NOT remove anything from the interior or exterior of the home.
7) Do NOT attempt to open locked cabinets and doors.
8) Remember that you are a guest in a privately owned home. Please be respectful of the owners and their property at all times. Clean as you go, and leave it better than when you arrived.
9) We appreciate your cooperation in following the House Rules. Failure to comply with these rules or city and county codes may lead to fines and eviction without a refund. Initial violations may incur a $500.00 administrative fine imposed by the city, and subsequent violations will result in a $1,000.00 fine, potentially leading to eviction without a refund.

[SPECIFICS]

***Amenities - What We Provide***
1) Plan to bring everything you may need outside of furnishings, dishes, utensils, bath towels, linens, blankets, pillows, etc. We also provide limited amounts of cleaning supplies, toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, a few trash bags, etc. We do not supply shower soaps, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. We also do not supply irons, hair blowers, or curling irons unless our owner has requested we do so.
2) Each property is individually owned. Amenities are listed to the best of our current actual knowledge, without a duty of inquiry or investigation, but not guaranteed. Photos are taken when the home becomes a part of our program and updated when possible. There is no guarantee the property will look exactly the same as the photos. Changes are possible without notice and will not qualify for compensation.
3) Please note that HOME AMENITIES ARE NOT GUARANTEED UPON ARRIVAL. In this remote mountain community, the environment can be harsh on homes, and resources for repair services or replacements are limited. Here are some potential issues:
- Game tables may break.
- Hot tubs can stop working.
- Satellite dishes, internet, and cable may go down, especially after storms.
- Pay-per-view may not be available in every home; please arrange this in advance if it's essential.
- Barbecue grills may not always be cleaned between guests.
- Refrigerators may take some time to cool your items, as they start empty and the air is initially warm. Keep the door closed as much as possible to speed up the cooling process.
4) Each home has basic kitchen utensils and appliances, including pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. If you plan on preparing a special dish, please bring any specific equipment you may need, such as a birthday cake pan or a slow cooker.

***Check-out Procedures***
1) Wash and dry your dishes, and please put them away.
2) Leave unused beds made.
3) Leave used beds unmade; do not strip the beds.
4) Leave used towels on the bathroom floor.
5) Remove food items from the refrigerator.
6) Set the thermostat to 55 degrees.
7) Close and lock all the windows and doors.
8) Return the keys to the lockbox.
9) Send a message to the local number provided to confirm your departure.
10) When staying in Big Bear City, Sugarloaf, etc., please follow the trash guidelines provided by your host. Failure to dispose of trash properly will result in a $25 per bag disposal fee. Do not place garbage outside or in other garbage cans throughout the neighborhood.
City of Big Bear Lake guests may take the trash to one of the Clean Bear Sites:

11) Before you hit the road, please check road conditions and closures.
