About this property

4bd AFrame Cabin with Hot Tub + 13,000ft Mountain Views + Hiking Close By

Cozy family-friendly A-frame cabin nestled beside the Mount Evans Wilderness in the Majestic Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Enjoy breathtaking snow capped mountain peak views, hiking trails, and wildlife sightings right from your door step. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a peaceful and private retreat with modern amenities.

This 1979 gem was hand-built by the original owners and features a spacious deck perfect for soaking in the scenery, a relaxing hot tub for unwinding after a day of adventure, and a captivating spiral staircase adding a touch of uniqueness. Make some s'mores or stay warm while enjoying the views of Mt. Logan (to the left), Rosalie Peak (to the right), and Mt. Evans (to the right of Rosalie Peak). The stars set the scene for an epic night with friends and loved ones. Facing west, we have stunning sunsets overlooking a snowcapped mountain range. Set up an ideal work space or plug in using our Starlink wifi network, for reliable fast speeds regardless of storms. The fully-equipped kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances. A full coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar with a dual Keurig K-Duo K-cup/drip system is provided for ultimate convenience! We've provided a well-stocked kitchen with many essentials for both short and long-term stays.

Our A-Frame provides four private sleeping areas (including a Pack N' Play and Toddler Bed for kiddos), so bring a group and have a fun getaway in the Rockies!

All guests will be provided with the necessary consumables to get you started for a comfortable stay. For the bathrooms: one towel and wash cloth per guest, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, a few rolls of toilet paper, a hair dryer, and makeup towels will be provided. In the kitchen: Paper towels, coffee, cooking oil and spices, all kitchen cutlery, dining sets (including kid sets), cookware, and cleaning products will be provided. You will have access to a washer and dryer on site (in the “Snowshoe Room”).

PLEASE NOTE:
-Cars are required to travel here, public transit and ride shares (Uber/Lyft) do not run.
-We do not have A/C but rely on the cool mountain evenings. Open windows at night, close them during the day. We have ample heat and upstairs vent fans, as well as portable fans located in the closets, to help circulate the air.
-If it snows during your stay, you may be required to shovel. During major storms, we will have a plow service do the driveway for 4-5 inches plus. If the roads are open, and you cannot make it to the rental we will not issue a refund, please purchase trip insurance if snow is a concern.
-4WD is required from October through May and is suggested all year round to reach fun dirt roads off the beaten path in the area.

Children are welcome and even encouraged. We do, however, have a few places in the home that may require supervision or to be blocked off. We have a spiral staircase, a window upstairs with ground access, and a gas stove inside that has a gate around it. We do enforce the no smoking and no open fire rules listed.

Hi! We are Sam and Grant. We have always dreamed about owning a cabin in the Rocky Mountains for our family to visit. We feel in love with this property, and cannot wait to share it with our baby and dogs! We wanted to share the magic with guests, who can explore the area and love it as much as we do. Cheers!

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood of Harris Park in Bailey, CO is the perfect getaway. Far enough from the city, but close enough for creature comforts like restaurants and grocery stores. It has a unique feel, where you are not in a tourist town but truly exploring the Rockies like a local. With hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, snow shoeing, and camping right around the corner it is an adventure destination!

What makes this property unique

The AFrame itself is a unique building. Common back in the 70's it's perfect for mountain living. If you never have stayed in one, you should!
