About this property

The Wren Den Cozy 1BR bungalow in Asheville. Close to everything.

The Wren Den is located in a sleepy residential community surrounded by forest and wildlife. So peaceful, cozy and quiet yet 3 miles or less from Downtown, West Asheville and The River Arts District. This location makes it easy to leave your car and Uber into town. Richmond Hill Park is a stones throw away, .5 miles, with a renowned disc golf course, hiking and mountain bike trails. The Biltmore House is a little over 4 mls and an easy drive along the French Broad River. Great location.

The space is comfortable and stylish. There is ample seating in the living room with a large wall mounted television with Hulu and Netflix. You can sign in to any of your streaming services if you choose. There are magazines, brochures and maps in the top drawer of the yellow chest.
The kitchen has just about everything that you need to prepare meals. Take a look around and you will find utensils, cookware and baking dishes. There are some basic cleaning items under the sink for spills and such as well as dishwashing pods.
The bathroom has a hair dryer and some towels and washcloths. You will find a couple rolls of toilet paper as well as some soaps, shampoo/conditioner.
The patio has lights that can be controlled by a switch in the house by the front door. If you spend any time out here you are almost sure to spot some turkey or deer. We do have bears in the area but we don't see them often. We ask that yo don't leave any food or wrappers/containers outside or in your car for this reason.

We are unable to accommodate early check-in or late check-out.

I moved to Asheville 10 years ago to get away from a much more congested and fast paced place. Hosting allows me to own a home here and live a slower paced, calmer life.

Why they chose this property

The proximity to downtown, the arts district and west Asheville is very convenient. What I really love is that we are literally in the forest. It's quiet and dark at night. You would never guess that we were so close to everything.

What makes this property unique

It's a nice escape. Most folks will say that it was a lovely place to come back to after hiking or exploring downtown. Many spend a lot of time sitting on the porch.
