My name is Marly and I am the property manager. I've lived in Troy for 20 years and in the neighborhood for 15. I spent my 20s traveling around, working and living in hostels, which is how I fell into Hospitality. I have worked in big corporate hotels and little mom & pop hostels. I've been to 7 countries and my favorite part of traveling is finding the best place to stay. When you spend hours upon hours walking around a city, seeing the sights, eating good food, it matters where you rest your head at night.
Why they chose this property
I've lived in this neighborhood for 15 years. It is its own little oasis. Close enough to the things that make Troy a fun place to visit but far enough away to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of living in the middle of a city.
What makes this property unique
In a day and age where cookie cutter house after cookie cutter house is being plopped down anywhere and everywhere a house like the House of Troy is a true diamond. It was built in 1910 and it still has all of the character and charm as the houses of old. We like to add a little modern flair in there of course but every turn and floorboard and door handle is unique. You can definitely sense all of the history that has gone on in the home.
