Misleading Listing - Shared House
The photos are accurate in the listing, as well as the ease of parking and finding the house alongside a road.
We opened the door right into a couple watching tv in their living room. Awkward.
The owner didn't seem to know what was happening when we walked through the door (You've booked? You have dogs? The listing left out that is was a shared house with other residents/renters?) Or perhaps she believes I'm stupid enough to believe she has no clue as to how her own house is being listed online? The owner blamed "Traverse" the listing company, for 'doing this again, and not understanding why they've listed it that way.' Uuuuhhhh yeah.
My daughter and I stayed for 5 min. then decided to find another place that evening. I didn't request a refund - I didn't say anything - I felt so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave.
A flight of about 20 stairs leads to 3-4 bedrooms with a single hallway bathroom. Imagine a college dorm suite with one small bathroom for whomever drops by or lives there. The listing did not state this at all.
My $200 loss is your knowledge not to book unless you like this sort of arrangement.
My message to them "Traverse," was not addressed in any manner, except to "please book again with us directly."
