About this property
Private 1-bedroom apartment, 15 mins to NYC
Welcome to this spacious and private apartment very close to NYC (I have traveled door-to-door to Times Square in as little as 11 minutes by bus and car, average is about 15 mins). This apartment is about 700 square feet (65 m2). There is a living room with sofa bed (sleeps 2), kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom with queen bed (sleeps 2). Convenient location with restaurants and shopping nearby. Clean and safe area. Well-lit at night. No parties, events, or smoking of any kind -- strictly enforced.
This is a private apartment and you have access to the whole space. The apartment is located on the first floor of a 3-story apartment building.
If you need to park your car, please note there is a 2-hour parking limit on most streets during the day and you are not able to leave your car overnight on most streets. Unfortunately, I cannot be responsible for your vehicle when it is parked on the street.
Secure parking is available in the locked and gated driveway behind the building. You must pay the parking fee in advance to the host. The fee is $25 per car per day. The driveway can fit up to 2 cars. You will be able to lock and unlock the driveway gate to access your vehicle. Contact me in advance of booking for more details and to know if parking is available and how to pay for parking. The space may not be available during your travel dates, so please check with me before booking.
Buses very near the apartment will take you to NYC in 10-15 minutes.
I am available to answer your questions before and during your stay. I probably will not meet you in person but I am available via the Airbnb platform to help you. I request that we communicate via Airbnb. Thank you.
The neighborhood is safe and convenient. Shopping nearby. NYC is only 15 minutes by bus or taxi. Weehawken, Hoboken, and Jersey City are close by and also have nightlife, restaurants, bars, etc. This is not a tourist area but more of a family neighborhood.
You can reach this location by taxi, Uber, or bus. The easiest way to NYC Midtown Manhattan is to take NJ Transit Bus 123 at the corner of 24th St and Palisade Ave (one block away). The return bus leaves from Gate 214 in Port Authority Bus Terminal. It costs $3.50 per ride. The ride takes 10-15 minutes.
Please note that heat is provided from October 1 to April 30. Air conditioning is provided from May 1 to September 30.
The amenities that are listed at the time you book the unit are the amenities provided. Please review this list of amenities before booking.
Self check-in and check-out are available. I have a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. I will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival.
The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with me. I may not be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night.
Please note that this apartment is located in a historic, older building. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what I can provide given the age of the building. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and I keep it clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place very close to New York City, this would be a good space for you. This apartment is closer to Midtown NYC than apartments in some parts of New York. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you, and I would suggest you look for a hotel or other high-end type of stay, which will probably cost much more.
I also just want to make clear that you are renting an Airbnb and not a hotel room. There are many differences between Airbnb and hotels, and some newer guests on Airbnb may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. On the other hand, I am an individual host and manage my listings to the best of my ability. I try hard to create a good experience for my guests. I am including this disclaimer here because I have recently seen a rise in guests that seem to view Airbnb as very similar to a hotel, but in reality it is quite different. Thank you in advance for understanding this.
Finally, I have a yacht parked not far from this location. If you are coming to New York for tourism and you would like a private boat tour of New York Harbor, I would be happy to arrange it. The views of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, etc. are amazing out on the water. Please contact me for more details if you are interested in a tour. Thank you.

Guests are not to touch the thermostats on the wall by the front door. If you need assistance with the heating, please contact me.
Guests are expected to leave the apartment in the condition they found it in. No leftover food. Nothing that creates the need for excessive or deep cleaning. Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you've brought in, and discard all trash. My cleaning fee is lower than most Airbnbs and it covers basic cleaning like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!
Guest must bag all trash and throw the bags in one of the bins outside of the building. Thanks.
If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.
If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, I will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, I will charge fees in addition to this $300.
