Affordable Hermosa Beach 2BR, 450ft from Sand, 2 blocks to Pier.

Located just 450ft from the Strand boardwalk, the sandy beach, and only two blocks from the Hermosa Pier makes this property the perfect location for enjoying all that Hermosa Beach has to offer. This is a BASEMENT unit that locks off from the main house and has its own private entrance. The unit has 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a Queen size bed. The other bedroom has a full sized bed. There is also a living room area that can be used as an office for remote working. This unit has two full bathrooms, and another 1/2 bathroom off of the living room. The kitchen is very well stocked. There is a stove top burner and a counter Breville convection oven for baking and toasting. There is NO VIEW from this unit. This rental is all about LOCATION, as it is extremely close to the beach, the HB Pier, and The Strand boardwalk. This basement unit has stairs, and may not be ideal for guests that have difficulty with stairs. You will have access to the shared rooftop deck, which has ocean and city views, along with outdoor furniture and large lounging areas to enjoy the sunshine, and the beautiful sunsets. The garage is also a shared space with the main house, and is loaded with beach toys that guests can use whenever they want. Bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, and surf boards are all kept in the garage for your enjoyment. A washer and dryer are also located in the shared garage, and available for you to use. This rental unit can park ONE car in the driveway. There are so many activities scheduled in Hermosa Beach, and depending on the time of your visit, you may enjoy concerts on the beach, volleyball or surf tournaments, local wildlife, and tons of shopping and fine or casual dining! Please check our rates before inquiring as they change seasonally. There is also the option of renting the upper unit, which has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with separate kitchen when availability allows, which will provide you with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, plus two parking spots in the driveway. #444807. Immaculately clean, great location, all amenities we needed
We rented this place for a month while we remodel our house, and we really enjoyed our stay. The owners were always so accommodating to all of our needs, and it was a 2 minute walk to the beach, with all the "beach toys" available to us so we were to bike, surf, etc and make the most of it! Easy, quick walk to many restaurants, shops, and quiet even though close to all this.

Very clean and generously stocked with supplies and linens. The location is outstanding for easy beach and Pier Ave access (restaurants, shops). The owners are super friendly and responsive. Checking in and out were a breeze. It’s difficult to find such an affordable place with this much space and amenities so close to the beach! We definitely hope to stay again.

Everything was perfect. Being in the basement was not a problem. Warm, quiet, secluded. The absence of natural light only motivated us to get outside as often as possible, which we should be doing anyhow.

The location is just the best. So close to everything, shops, restaurants, beach. The owner met us when we arrived and gave a short tour. Very personable and friendly. Place was very clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again.

My Family and I stayed here while we were renovating our house in a neighboring city. Location was excellent, unit was comfortable and clean. We did have a couple unforeseen issues come up during our stay related to the plumbing and electronic locks (low battery), communication was immediate and resolutions to these issues were mitigated well. Having a host that is reachable at almost any hour of the day is invaluable and that is what you get staying here.

Great covid getaway by the beach!
Property is ideally situation walking distance to the beach and to the hermosa pier, which has tons of options (in non-lockdown times) for dining and drinks. The unit is very spacious with 2 BR's, 3 bathrooms and a daybed in the living room. Shared rooftop balcony with plenty of seating and some ocean views is key as the downstairs unit does not get much natural light. Great value for the price!

We had an extended stay here for 1.5 months. Kirk was an amazing host! So thoughtful, nice, kind, and the place was amazing! It had everything you could need and then some. A Great spot!
This was a great spot to stay. I was a guest here for nearly 6 weeks. The place was clean and quiet. Walking distance from anywhere you want to be. Only a few yards from the beach, and Hermosa Pier. I enjoyed my stay so much that I actually extended for a few weeks longer than I had originally booked. I highly recommend this property and hope I will have the opportunity to be a guest here again.

Perfect location
This is an extremely affordable condo located in the most desirable area of Hermosa Beach. Everything met our expectations. The pictures depict the unit very accurately. We had plenty of room to spread out so we did not feel confined considering it is a basement unit. It is well maintained and was spotless upon arrival. We did not incur any problems during our stay and questions we had were addressed promptly. We appreciate the tv channel selection as we like to unwind at night after enjoying the outdoors during the day. The location just cannot be beat. You are a half block to the most beautiful strand and just a few steps further to the pier. Such a treat to walk out to the Pier each morning and evening enjoying the sunrise and sunset. Such a friendly community! Plenty of options to eat all within walking distance. We really enjoyed the Magic and Comedy Club again within walking distance.. such an intimate venue with fantastic talent. We are frequent travelers but typically stay in hotels. This was our first VRBO experience and it was great! We would not hesitate to rent again with Mary Jo!

Mary Jo was fantastic. Anytime I had a question or comment, she always replied very quickly and efficiently. Her place is awesome. Plenty of room for guests, you cannot hear a thing outside which is surprising considering how close the dozens of restaurants and bars that are only a 60 second walk away! Fantastic and peaceful views from the rooftop were a bonus. An amazing place to stay, only a 30 second walk to the beach. I look forward to staying here on my future trips to LA.

Awesome Location .......
Since retiring, we travel to the California coast to escape the brutal Minnesota winters for a month of fun in the sun! This year, we rented VRBO property #410924 in Hermosa Beach from Kirk and Mary Jo. It had everything we needed for the month ... a fully stocked kitchen, anything you could possibly want for the beach, it was quiet, a washer/dryer on site, a great rooftop deck for BBQs, and of course, bikes for the Strand! All this within walking distance (I mean hop, skip, and jump distance) of the beach with no busy streets to cross or traffic lights to navigate! The location was awesome! Larry and Joey Sundquist

Perfect Location during Renovation
We were renovating our house and needed a place to stay for 6 weeks, so we chose the Lower Beach Unit for three reasons: (1) location, (2) price, and (3) livable space. The unit was quite large, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Lower Beach Unit is well furnished and equipped (everything from dishes, to standard home comforts, to BBQ equipment, to a picnic basket), and very clean. It also has bikes (adult + child), a laundry room, deck, and is walkable to all the Hermosa Beach restaurants. Mary Jo was very responsive to questions, and was a very gracious host. We are so thankful that she could accommodate us during our renovation. I'd highly recommend this property to couples and families. Thank you Mary Jo for a wonderful stay!

The property description was accurate and the location was perfect.
This property came with everything you would need for a beach vacation, bikes, chairs, umbrella's and wagons to pull everything.The landlord was available to answer any questions that came up. The property was clean and well maintained.The rooftop patio was a Hugh bonus with a gas grill and a perfect place to enjoy a drink and relax.The beds were comfortable including the pullout sofa.I would highly recommend this property and plan to stay there again next year.

Perfect location!!!
Great place in a great beach community. Perfect location! Everything you'd need for a fun beach vacation. Walk out your door and walk right to the beach. A few blocks from Pier Avenue with all the shops and restaurants. All the fun beach gear you need. The bikes were great to ride down the Strand. There's a nice rooftop hangout. We stayed in the lower level of the property. Thanks, Mary Jo. We had a great stay!

We have recently moved back to Hermosa and live in the connected townhome on the alley side of the property. We hope you enjoy Hermosa and fall in love with it as much as we have!
