Quiet Country setting with beautiful views-Minutes to Ricketts Glen State Park

We have enhanced our cleaning and disinfecting of all common areas and rooms to ensure a safe & healthy environment for everyone.

Our family owned & operated Lodge is conveniently located just 5 miles from Rickets Glen State Park & 20 miles from Bloomsburg. Situated on the rolling hills of Raven Creek, the views from our wrap around porches are breathtaking.

Our quiet, country setting makes for the perfect weekend getaway. We welcome families, couples, or groups for nightly or weekly stays. Come enjoy our relaxing porches, take a hike, go mountain biking, or go kayaking at Lake Jean.

We currently have 5 Bedrooms/3 bathrooms, which can be rented separately or all together. There is a beautiful, spacious living room/dining room/full kitchen as well. Check in time is flexible depending on availability. Check out time is 11am.

Just beautiful

We all had a wonderful time and decided that we would make this an annual trip. We are all in our 60's and have been friends since 1st grade. The grounds are just beautiful . We took advantage of the BBQ area and played games. There were no complaints. Thank you

Beautiful relaxing getaway

We absolutely loved staying at this rustic cabin in a beautiful serene setting last month. The cabin was spacious enough to accommodate comfortably our whole group of friends and family. It provided all the basic necessities, bathroom and kitchen essentials, and clean bedding. Outdoor fire pit was a great fun for everyone. It’s conveniently located at a minutes drive from Rickett Glens state park. Booking and check in process was pretty smooth. We made beautiful memories at this place and would love to stay again. Beautiful and clean. Quiet remote area

We enjoyed using the covered porch and grilling area. The firepit was further away and we did not use it. Previous reviews about a pond refer to a neighbor's pond (behind a fence with NO TRESPASSING sign). Note left for us by host encouraging a call with questions. We called on first day to ask why front door wouldn't lock. Didn't hear back until after our stay. Although a safe area, it was unsettling to leave for day trips and have all our valuables unsecured.

Family Holiday Gathering

My sister and I chose the lodge to host a family Thanksgiving gathering (dinner, socializing). The overall space worked well for our group of 12 adults and 4 children. The country setting is lovely with spacious grounds and comfortable accommodations in the lodge. (Only 4 of us -- 2 couples --used the lodge overnight.) The online listing does not indicate that the lodge includes an adjoining banquet room, with a roped off entrance from the lodge hallway, and the attached owners personal home. This was not a problem but perhaps should be made clear. The living room and kitchen worked for family with the addition of a folding table; however, we found the kitchen is not really set up for serious meal preparation and service, with limited pots and pans, and no serving dishes. Utensils, tableware were fine with plenty of plates, glasses, cups. My sister and I anticipated we might need to supplement cooking equipment and had brought personal items but needed to have family supply additional items. I surmised that the lodge is set up primarily for wedding parties who do not do much cooking and individuals who most likely dine out while visiting the area.

Great peaceful getaway

The places was beautiful, and the land green lush and peaceful. We lived the fire pit by the lake. It was a great place to unwind. The owners were always available and so helpful. We've been talking about how much we missed it since we left.

Reunion of friends

Five couples came from four different states to spend the weekend together. We went to Rickets Glen to see the water falls. Visited a cidery and a winery but most of the time we spent together on site. The layout was perfect. Five bedrooms gave each couple their own room and the well equipped kitchen and grill gave us a place to prepare all our meals. Outside is beautiful with a large fire pit we used each night while watching the star filled sky. The place rated 5 stars for us. We have already recommended the place to friends. Thanks again for a great weekend.

Peace, quiet, beauty in PA

Fantastic! My husband, 2 sons, MIL and SIL rented the Lodge for a week. From start to finish, we could not have asked for a more perfect spot. The kitchen is well-equipped, plus the bonus of the gas grill. Room to lounge inside and out on the wrap-around porch. Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, butterflies and horses next door. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and spacious. The jacuzzi in the master was an added bonus. We loved the area - three hiking trips along the falls at Ricketts Glen State Park, kayaking on the Susquehanna, and go karts for something a little more racy. Easy access to groceries and restaurants in town. Brooke, Corey and Sam were attentive but never intrusive. Absolutely what we needed.

Family vacation

This lodge made our big group very comfortable with plenty of common area and a bedroom for every couple. The grounds were beautiful with a fire pit and covered picnic area where we enjoyed playing games in the evening. Rickets Glen falls and lake Jean were only minutes away from lodge and we enjoyed activities in Bloomsburg and Knoebles. Would highly recommend this place for a large group that wants to enjoy peaceful country setting.

Peaceful retreat.

The lodge is nested in green pasture where birds chirp and horses are roaming in the surrounding hills. Ricketts Glen state park is s great place to go explore and hike, it has over 20 waterfalls and many trails. Brooke an Corey were very helpful and the lodge was confortable. We would love to return!

Wonderfully relaxing and peacful

We stayed for 5 days in August 2020. The lodge and surrounding countryside are beautiful. I grew up in Bavaria between Munich and the Alps, and the landscape reminds me of my home. Soft hills dotted with forests, meadows and small farms, tree lined streets, everything is beautiful and well maintained. We went running every day, and whichever way we went was gorgeous. The lodge is exceptionally clean and friendly, the pictures do it great justice. The kitchen is well maintained and stocked. Because of COVID19, we cooked almost all our meals at the lodge. Everything we needed was there. The owners are part of a family that also owns a fly-fishing business across the street, and they manage several trout streams and organize classes and excursions (we do not fish so did not take advantage, but it sounded great - maybe we try next time!). Next to the lodge is the Springdale Equestrian Center. The center piece is a beautiful old barn which houses the hand-built stalls, all large and exceptionally well maintained. The center houses many retired horses, as well as several horses there for rehabilitation for hoof issues, and it is phenomenal to see what good and loving care can do for these animals. If you are a horse lover, check out their website! The lodge is close to the Rickett's glen state park with some very nice hikes, including one that brings you past 21 waterfalls. There is also a lake with a cute little sand (!) beach and a small area cordoned off for swimming. There are even beach volleyball nets! Sadly the boat rental place is closed due to COVID19. The boat launch is open, though, and we saw some folks bring their own kayaks. Probably could have gone for a real swim outside the designated beach area, but ended up not doing that. No high speed boats are allowed on the lake - a big plus in our minds. Makes for a very nice serene and pretty mountain lake. All in all a truly fantastic, relaxing and wonderful stay! We will definitively be back!

Amazing vacation during Covid

This was the perfect place to relax with family during Covid. Large home with places to relax and family gathering locations. The fire pit and pond provided fun for the kids! We hiked in Rickets Glen and enjoyed the waterfalls and nature! Everything was perfect and we hope to make a vacation here a yearly event!

Wonderful place for families!

This place was awesome! Great for a large group, everyone had their own separate space but then amazing open space for everyone to hang out! The porch was awesome and comfy for views of the beautiful property. The owners were helpful and attentive to whatever we needed! Will definitely look to book another stay! Thanks for everything.

Charming and spacious

My husband and I visited Brooks home along with a few other couples. It was a perfect getaway away from city life. Her place is charming and hard to top with 5 bedrooms, each quite adorable (and the beds are comfortable - the whole group agreed!). We stayed in a few nights and cooked. The kitchen table had enough room for the full group. Brooke was very accommodating. We loved the property and hope to return soon.

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable and clean!

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge with our entire family. Although the weather was a disappointment, we still had plenty to do. The lodge and the grounds are beautiful! Brooke and Corey are very helpful and made sure all of our questions were answered promptly. I highly recommend this vacation setting!

We jumped head first into owning & operating our B&B and event venue. We love hosting guests and meeting people from all over the world. I homeschool our 2 kids, ages 9 & 11 and run our B&B while doing so. My husband & I both grew up in the area and love introducing our guests to cool and fun things to do "in the middle of no-where"
