Private 2-bedroom apartment 10-mins to Newark International Airport (EWR)
Welcome to this private apartment on the 2nd floor of a three-story building. The space is approximately 1,000 square feet (92m2). There are two bedrooms in the front of the apartment each with a closet. There is a living room in the middle of the apartment and the kitchen area in the rear. The kitchen and living room are open, which gives the apartment a nice flow. The ceilings are higher than normal so the place feels spacious. No parties, events, or smoking of any kind -- strictly enforced.
This is a second floor apartment (above a store) and it is the entire second floor of the building.
You will have private and exclusive access to the entire apartment.
NJ Transit Bus No. 24 stops right near the front of the building and can take you to Jersey Gardens Mall and also to the Elizabeth Train Station (get off at the corner of Jersey St and Broad St in Downtown Elizabeth) where you can catch a train to New York City. Total travel time from the apartment to New York City is approximately 45 minutes. This bus also goes to Downtown Newark NJ.
Parking is NOT included with this rental. Parking is free on the nearby streets. You do not need any permits to park on the streets nearby. Parking is not included in this rental. You need to follow all parking regulations and you are responsible for any tickets that you may receive. The host is not responsible for your vehicle.

Self check-in and check-out are available. We have a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival.
The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. We will not be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm) and we will not issue refunds should you have any issues checking in after 11:00 pm.
This apartment is located in a commercial area of Elizabeth, not far from the bustling Elizabeth Avenue, Downtown Elizabeth, and Jersey Gardens Mall. The location is also not too far from New York City and is very close to Newark Airport (EWR).
Parking is not included in this rental as this building does not have a parking lot. You can park on the streets nearby. You must follow the street cleaning regulations. We cannot be responsible if you receive a parking ticket.
Please also note that this apartment is located in an older building. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the building. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and I keep it updated and clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place close to New York City and Newark Airport EWR, this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.
We also just want to make clear that you are renting an apartment and not a hotel room. There are many differences between apartment rentals and hotels, and some newer guests may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. On the other hand, we are a small operation and we manage our listings to the best of our ability. We try hard to create a good experience for our guests. We are including this disclaimer here because we have recently seen a rise in guests that seem to view our listings as very similar to a hotel, but in reality it is quite different. You will be given the choice between a refundable damage deposit (administrative fee for this option is $10) or a non-refundable damage waiver (the cost is $35). This process is required. It is not optional. You will not be given access to the listing unless your status is "approved" from Superhog. You will need a valid credit card in order to complete this process. We are fully disclosing this here so that a guest cannot claim after booking that this was not disclosed. Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).
If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.
Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you've brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!
If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.
If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.
