Beautiful View At The Top
This is a wonderful location that looks out from the top of the hills over all of San Diego, and a quiet little cabin that you can see and hear the horses nearby and local birdlife.

This property was perfect for me! I stayed for two weeks and loved every minute. The check in process was super easy, the hosts and their dogs are incredibly friendly and genuine. The apartment had everything I needed. The drive to the city/beaches was scenic and worth it. I would absolutely stay here again for the sunsets alone

Best Vacation Rental We Have Ever Rented!! BEAUTIFUL Inside and Out!!
Serene atmosphere with a gorgeous view— just far enough away from the city!! The hosts are amazing!! And the hike is a must!! We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay twice!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!! And we will definitely stay here again in the future!! Paradise!!

Peaceful and serene setting
Beautiful property! Hosts are very respectful of guests’ privacy but are readily available for questions and help. Close to walking trails. Feels remote but only a short drive to stores and restaurants.

Great suite with wonderful hosts
I chose this place to be close to east county hiking, but still close enough to my friends' houses in San Diego and it was perfect. The hosts were gracious and fun to hang out with and their two dogs are very friendly.

The perfect getaway!
If you are seeking peace and quiet far from the city’s lights and sounds, this is the place for you! This comfy apartment is clean and bright and welcoming. I needed a restorative weekend to myself and this was the perfect stay. I loved sitting at the table or reading on the couch with the door open and the breeze filtering through all day long. The hosts are warm and welcoming. I would definitely return!

I had a great stay in the Jamul rental. Annette and Robert were very flexible and patient with my weird arrival and checkout times to accommodate a complicated work schedule. One note, the cell and internet connections are weak so this place is best for catching up on reading :)

Would Stay Again
My daughter and I experienced a lovely stay here. The views were beautiful, it was very quiet and we had everything we needed. The only thing that may be an issue for some is the Wi-Fi connectivity. There were many times where we were not able to connect to the internet, so if you need to do this for work or school you may want to plan around that. Other than that, everything was great! We loved meeting the horses biscuit and Joe, and the two friendly dogs. Annette and Robert, thanks for a lovely place to stay in beautiful San Diego!

Truly a mountain retreat
We loved staying here. It was quiet and beautiful. It was great to get away from the city at night. The views and hiking trails were perfect, and the property was great. We were able to cook our breakfast in the kitchen and then head out for the day. It was quite a winding drive up to the property which was very different for midwestern prairie dwellers. :-) However that added to the charm of our stay. There are also a Target and Albertsons in Jamul which were perfect for picking up groceries before we headed up to the property. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful
We came to the area to take my daughters college graduation pictures. We had originally planned to do them in La Jolla until we saw how beautiful the property was. We asked instead if we could use this beautiful home as a background. The hosts are incredibly accommodating. The apartment is beyond beautiful. It is out of the way but definitely worth the drive. Everything you need is a short drive away. We will definitely stay again when we come back to visit San Diego.

Beautiful sunsets
We picked this spot just to stay two nights to attend my brother's wedding nearby. Our hosts were warm and full of smiles, and the sunset views were incredible. I don't know the next time we will be back, but we will stay here again!

Beautiful hilltop retreat
The property is beautiful and location is amazing - only 10-15 mins from a shopping center and 35 mins from downtown San Diego. You can see all the way to the ocean and Coronado from this hilltop. The hosts are so kind and we even had a tour of the property and met their sweet horses one morning. They are also very respectful of privacy. Our pup loved their two sweet pups. We would highly recommend this apt and loved the location - close enough for day trips to anywhere on the SD county coast but a world away from it. We are amazed that we didn’t discover Jamul sooner. Thanks for a great stay, Annette and Robert!

Lovely apartment with an amazing view, quite close to San Diego. The owners were very helpful. The apartment is even nicer than in photos. We liked it so much we stayed a bit longer than planned. Would definitely return!

Fabulous location and charming accommodation.
I recently stayed five nights in this lovely VRBO. The apartment is separate from the main house with its own entrance and the view is spectacular. The furnishings are nice and the bed is super comfortable. The owners are very friendly and quite helpful if you have any questions. I flew in to San Diego and did not rent a car and although the property is a little off the beaten path (which I liked), Uber was able to provide transportation. I highly recommend staying here and as a matter of fact I have booked to stay there again later this year.

If you are traveling during winter, you should bring a sweater, as it's really chilly. We both caught a cold, had to cut the trip short. We arrived late a night, found the street, but there are two houses next to each other. Neither has an address, knocked on several doors. No response. Finally found the stairs that lead to the apartment behind the garage. Bringing a flash-light will certainly be a good idea. Very quiet during the weekend, but the neighbor started his compressor at 7 in the morning on Tuesday, cleaning his driveway
