The location of the apartment is fantastic to visit and enjoy Barcelona,it is in the city center, and after that, you can have a comforting rest with your children or your partner because it´s incredibly quiet.

Best Host Ever!

You'll never find a better host than Raul and Carmen. Even prior to making our booking, they were quick with responses to all our queries and once we made our booking, they provided us all the information and tips we need to make our stay comfortable. Raul was the most gracious, even taking a day off from work just to pick us up from the train station, complete with our travel passes! It saved us from having to worry about transportation and he was so patient waiting for us despite our Montpellier train running an hour late! He then sat down with us for a considerable hour just to show us maps and guides so we would know our way around. We've been traveling around Europe for a month by then so we've seen our fair share of apartments/hotels etc and this is exactly going above and beyond what hosts normally do. They even stocked up the kitchen and fridge with food so we wouldn't need to go shopping straight away plus a sweet gift of a huge fruit basket. The property is also quite spacious, a lovely home for our family to retire to at the end of a tiring day. The rooftop balcony is a treat, it reminded me of home where I can relax looking out while waiting for my laundry to finish in the machine. We're very grateful to the hosts for making our stay memorable. Barcelona is now our favourite city and we cannot recommend this property enough. Book it now while still available because it always gets taken!

Absolutely loved this place. Right in the heart of Barcelona with both the subway and bus within a 5-7 min walk. Raul was an absolute darling and it made such a difference having him pick us up at the airport. The apartment was very cozy and the kitchen had everything you need. The heaters were especially welcome as coming from 35c heat in Australia to 12c in Barcelona we felt the cold. Would definitely come back and stay here again. Thanks Raul

Exceptional.

It is hard to say anything different from the previous reviews regarding Raul and Carmens apartment as they are 100% on all levels. Raul made us feel very special from the moment we made tbe booking to our return home. This included information on what tours to book prior to our arrival in Barcelona, picking us up from the railway station, a brief tour of the city and upon arrival at the apartment we were greeted with a basket of beautiful fruit, wine, coffee, juice etc. The apartment was spacious, clean and has everything needed for the perfect holiday. We would absolutely recommend Raul and Carmens apartment to family, friends and anyone looking for great apartment within walking distance to tourist attractions, railway station, shops and great restaurants. A very big THANK YOU Raul and Carmen. We look forward to returning one day in the future

Perfect Barcelona location

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Raul and Carmen’s apartment. We have travelled extensively and the welcome we received from our hosts was beyond our expectations. The apartment was as advertised and was roomy and cool as Raul had turned the Air-Con on before we arrived. It was over 36C all the time we were in Barcelona so the cooling was very welcome. Raul gave us detailed maps of the city, great info about where to eat, showed us how to buy a Metro ticket and which routes went to the major attractions. We felt at home immediately. Raul even assisted us park our car at the airport Carpark and took us on an orientation tour of the city. We would definitely stay here again. So convenient and such excellent hosts in Raul and Carmen.

The perfect host

The flat is perfectly situated to visit the city and great for a stay with little kids because there's a parc with three different playground nearby. The flat itself is very nice and equipped with everything you could possible need: nespresso coffee, juice, milk, a fruit basket and wine as a welcoming gift, umbrellas, books, toys for children. The roof terrace ist beautiful and a perfect place to have breakfast. The host was unbelievably nice and helpful: Not only did he help us find a hotel, when we had to arrive a day earlier than planned, he also picked us up at the metro, helped us to carry the luggage, organized a buggy for our child and bought him a teddy bear as welcoming gift. He also explained how to get around the city, recommend places to see und restaurants to visit and answered all our questions. Overall the perfect host and perfect place to stay as a small family.

Toujours un excellent choix à travers les années

Nous avons été très bien accueillis, pour la seconde fois , par Raul venu nous chercher à la gare.Son appartement , pourvu de tous les conforts, est parfaitement propre.Raul et Carmen offrent dans la cuisine café ,biscottes ,eau ,fruits et vin et plein de produits de base afin que les touristes aient tout sous la main à leur arrivée : cela est très appréciable .L’appartement est proche ,à pieds en bus ou en utilisant les petits taxis peu chers à Barcelone , de tous les centres de visite.Nous remercions donc Raul et Carmen pour leur accueil parfait et d’une grande gentillesse.et espérons ( si nous trouvons de la place libre !) revenir chez eux à Barcelone. J’ajoute que les pièces donnent sur une très grande cour intérieure calme et sans voitures.N’hésitez pas c’est la bonne adresse…

Wonderful stay in Barcelona!

My husband and I spent 5 night's at Raul and Carmen's apartment. It is very clean, well equipped and located within a 20-40 minute walk of all major attractions - for those who don't want to walk, the public transportation is close by, inexpensive and very efficient.The owners are extremely kind and helpful and go above and beyond to ensure their guests are well taken care of. Wonderful “Home away from Home!”

We wish we could leave more than five stars! We had a wonderful 5 day stay at this quiet, clean, sunny apartment that had everything we needed (and more). Raul went above & beyond with airport pickup, a tour, a fruit basket, wine and food in the fridge. He showed us points of interest on the map and was quick to respond anytime we had a question about the area. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop terrace surrounded by Carmen’s beautiful plants & flowers. The location was ideal - close to many sights and in a safe area. Raul and Carmen, we cannot thank you enough for your kindness, hospitality and generosity. We sure hope to go back! Gracias!

Family first to Spain

This was our first trip overseas with our two adult children. We chose this place bc of the reviews on VRBO. Every wonderful review was deserved and truthful. Raul was beyond kind and helpful to people who do not speak the language and needed some guidance. The apartment was perfect for our family and our needs and the location was amazing. Just as promised

As all of the previous reviews have mentioned, Raul went over and beyond as the host of this clean and well located property. We could walk most anywhere in the city we wanted to go. Montjuic is easily walkable within 25 min for example. The roof top terrace is a lovely perk though we used it less due to the time of year we were there. We would definitely stay here again, we had a fabulous time!

Estancia espectacular

Apartamento bien equipado, muy limpio y situado en una zona residencial, muy tranquila y con un muchas tiendas disponibles, como supermercados, panaderìas, carnicerias, pastelerias. Muy còmoda la parada del metro cerca del apartamento, en 15 minutos se llega tranquilamente al centro de la ciudad. Los propietarios Raul y Carmen fueron muy acogedores, facilitandonos mapas y muchas sugerencias sobre la ciudad.Nos hicieron sentir como en casa nuestra. Recomendamos este apartamento sobre todo si se viaja con familia.

Great Stay

The owners, Raul and Carmen, bent over backwards to ensure our stay was trouble free. They were personable and were a large part of why our stay in such a beautiful city as Barcelona and our viewing of the America’s Cup racing was as good as it was. The property was well located within walking distance of the Barcelona subway system. Best of all, the Panet bakery was right across the street which ment we had warm bread every morning. My wife and I can’t wait to come back!!!

Wonderful hosts in a very accessible localation!

First of all we can’t say enough about how great Raul and Carmen are as hosts and people. The terrace, full of green plants and a table and chairs to eat or relax, also had the washing machine- which we find so helpful on our trips away from home. The 2bedroom apartment hadveverything we needed. Just a note: the bed itself was hard, but that was the only thing we could find to say thplace wasn’t perfect! The kitchen had olive oil jams and butter water juice and a fruit basket that really hit the spot! The location had easy access to trains and buses andand was quaint and safe for us. Vacances à Barcelone

Je suis partie à Barcelone avec mes parents pour passer 5 jours et nous étions logés dans cet hébergement qui s'est avéré être le meilleur que nous ayons loué pendant nos vacances. La maison était d'une propreté impeccable et très bien équipée, nous n'avons manqué de rien, nous nous sentions vraiment comme chez nous ! Raul, le propriétaire de la maison, était un homme adorable, d'une grande gentillesse, serviable et attentionné. Dès le premier jour, il est même venu nous chercher à l'aéroport avec sa voiture. Avant de nous conduire à la maison, il nous a fait faire un petit tour de Barcelone, une fois arrivés, il nous a tout expliqué en détail : les endroits à visiter, où manger, comment utiliser les transports en commun, où acheter les tickets, et tous les autres bons plans à Barcelone. Il nous a également offert un panier de fruits pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue. En arrivant, nous avons trouvé le frigo rempli de jus, de coca, de beurre, de confiture, d'eau, etc. Raul était exceptionnel et je recommande vivement cet hébergement ! Merci infiniment, Raul, pour tout !

Absolutely Wonderful!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this apartment courtesy of Raul and Carmen! Raul picked us up at the airport, took us on a mini tour of Barcelona, and then brought us to the apartment where we were greeted by a fruit basket and bottle of wine! We were not expecting such amazing hospitality. Raul ensured we understood how to get around and even mapped out the public transportation routes to a few places we wanted to go. The apartment was neat and clean and in a wonderful location to the bus and metro. I highly recommend staying here for anyone coming to Barcelona!

Best VRBO experience ever!

Our stay in Barcelona could not have been any better! Raul was extremely easy to get a hold of before the trip to answer questions regarding our stay and the area as a whole. Raul picked us up from the airport and took us on a quick tour of the area which was amazing! The location of the property is perfect and we loved the maps Raul and Carmen provided for us with must see destinations and local, non touristy, restaurants. It definitely helped us with getting around and having delicious meals! They gifted us a beautiful fruit and wine basket and had a few drinks in the refrigerator when we arrived! We definitely felt spoiled!! The ability to do laundry and enjoy the evenings on the rooftop patio was an extra bonus! We needed the water temp turned down a bit and Raul was at the apartment in no time to assist us. Having Raul and Carmen in the same building is amazing. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I was traveling alone with my 14 year old son and had a early flight out of Barcelona. I asked Raul the best way to get to the airport so early and he insisted on taking us. It was so wonderfully kind. We will DEFINITELY stay here again on any return trips to Barcelona and I have already made sure my friends know about Raul and Carmen. Thank you for a fantastic experience!!

The perfect location and the perfect hosts

Simply: this is the perfect VRBO spot in Barcelona, and the hosts are the best you will ever meet. Raul picked us up at the airport, drove us around town to get our bearings, and volunteered constant support before, during, and after our trip. He even offered to drive us to the train station when we were ready to head to Madrid. You will find no better hosts anywhere than Raul and Carmen. We will stay here any time we return to Barcelona in the future. The property is conveniently situated in a gorgeous Eixample neighborhood, mere blocks from the Parc de Joan Miró and Montjuïc. The Rocafort subway line is three handsome blocks away on Line 1, granting you convenient access to anywhere in the city. This is an upscale, safe neighborhood, where the locals are extremely warm and friendly to visitors. 11/10, truly. Heed Raul's food recommendations. The dining in the area is exquisite, especially if you like Catalan cuisine and Galician seafood. We happened to book a special dinner at Albert Adrià's Enigma for our anniversary, and were delighted to find it was a short walk away, just five blocks.

Great stay in Barcelona

Raul and Carmen were amazing hosts-it was like visiting family. Raul picked us up at the airport and gave us an orientation of the apartment and surrounding area. The apartment was perfect for our family and was comfortable, having everything we needed and more. Location was good and the public transportation was easy to use. My wife is from Galicia, in the north-west of Spain and she works as an accountant for a computer company.
We have two children. We live in the same building where the apartment is, and I managing my own apartment.
I like swimming and listening to music.
We love going to the beach and traveling.

What makes this property unique

It is a quiet sunny place in the city center. It´s very well communicated and you can walk to the main sights in town. There are a lot of a good restaurants, markets and supermarkets if you prefer to cook at home.
Barcelona Fair is close to the apartment.
It takes only 15 minutes to the airport by taxi or airport bus, and 5 minutes to Sants station where you can take the High-Speed Train (AVE) and go to Madrid in two and a half hours.
Other important thing is that we live in the same building, so we can help you on anything that you need quickly, so very personalized attention.
