My husband and I were born and raised in Texas. After living in several other states for work and higher education, we moved to Waco and back to Texas in 2020.
I work as a Brand Consultant and my husband is a Theatre Professor. We have 3 kids and a 2 dogs, so life is busy! We are excited to host people who are visiting Waco for Baylor events or just for a fun weekend getaway. We've found lots to love about Waco during our 4 years here.

Why they chose this property
We love being in the back of a quiet neighborhood with ranch style homes, big lots and mature trees. We don't have any neighbors behind us, so the cottage looks out on the woods, which gives it a peaceful, tucked-in feeling. Our property is the best of both worlds - we are in a neighborhood, but our 2.5 acres gives us room for our creative projects and a private, rural feel.
What makes this property unique
We built our guest house cottage behind our family home with our own two hands over the course of 2 years - it's been a labor of love. I am a designer and have a passion for modern art, literature and TEXAS. All of these themes are in the cottage and I wanted it to have a feel of being in a mini art gallery. Personally, we love being in the space. Also, we love to cook, so the kitchen is a real kitchen - a cook's dream.
