Wonderful property! Close to the local ski resorts. Plenty of room for a large family or group to enjoy relaxation and fun. Hot tub is a nice extra and downstairs game and TV room with separate kitchen is great! Owner is very accessible, friendly and helpful.
Beautiful cabin. Very clean with lots of room for everyone. Close to attractions, but peace and quiet too. The pool table was level with enough room for all of us to gather round and enjoy. We all loved our stay!
While we wish there was more snow to report, we had an amazing weekend staying at this little slice of heaven! Jacks cabin was very spacious and enjoyable with many amenities at your fingertips! We would HIGHLY recommend this spot for your next vacation!!
Beautiful and secluded property. Very large and spacious perfect for larger groups while still have your owner space.
Visited with just two of us - a lot of space for just two people but well worth it! Very well done cabin and very welcoming. We felt right at home immediately. The hot tub was perfect after long days of snowboarding. Property owner is very welcoming and very easy to communicate with. Makes sure you are comfortable and not wanting/needing for anything.
Will def be back!
We were enjoying our staying at the house. Very convenient and close to Seven spring resorts. Jack was stopping by during storm to make sure we all ok and have everything we needed..
Rented this for a weekend with 12 friends to go rafting on the Yough and had a great time. Very generous accommodations with access to everything. Really well stocked kitchen.
Lots of activities there and room enough for yard games if you prefer. Owner was a pleasure to deal with.

Relaxing in Somerset!
Beautiful log home. Very spacious and well appointed. Attention to detail is amazing all the way down to the deer antler bathroom tissue holders! Kitchen and main dining area is spacious, yet, cozy. Kitchen has everything you would need. Recreation areas, from the fire pit to the hot tub to the rec room with ping pong and pool table. Fantastic! Also - the indoor Ben Franklin stove and up stairs fireplace insert made it very cozy. The home is located in a wonderful place that is convenient to gasoline, stores, restaurants, hiking ect.. The view from the back deck is majestic, to say the least. Also - the sound system and TVs' all work and are user friendly. I would definitely recommend this home!

Great times - easy lay out so kids and parents can be under 1 roof but split and playing. Geothermal running through the floors was awesome to come out of the cold and walk around.

Great Family fall retreat
Our family has stayed in the Laurel Highlands most falls for the last several years. This home was perfect. It provided lots of space and comfort. We have 3 married children with each having children. So with the 4 families at the home, we all could have separate parts of the home to occupy but yet be all together for entire family time as well. My married son said this was his favorite fall home that we have stayed in. Thank you Jack and Shari.
We trust we can stay again.

Great Property for Family, Winter or Summer.
Had 10 adults and 5 kids stay over 4th of July. Everyone had plenty of space to sleep with the 2br/ba downstairs, the 3br/2ba on the main floor and the upstairs open loft to the living room and 1br/ba.
Living space was massive, with an 8 person kitchen/breakfast bar open to both the Living Room and 8 person dining table. Living room has 2 doors that open up to the rear deck. Two separate seating areas, one off the wider part of the deck with a Propane Grill/Table and seating and another lounging area for 7+ near the hot tub. The deck continues around the side and wraps around the front of the house, where there are additional benches/chairs. Second living room/pool table/kitchen in the basement as well. Outside between the house and detached garage was a fire pit area, plenty of wood and chairs.
Pittsburg was about an hour, 40 minutes to FallingWater & Ohiopyle Areas and 20 minutes to Somerset, PA.
Could not have been happier with how helpful Shari and Jack were during our stay and they responded very quickly to our enquiries.

Awesome stay for close group of friends
This cabin was great. Very cozy enough room for all of my friends. Most of my friends said the pictures posted don't give the place any justice on how beautiful it is. We enjoyed and focused most of our time in the kitchen. It is open allowing you to talk to those in the dinning room along with living room. Don't forget the 8 chairs at the bar surrounding the kitchen counter.
We celebrated my birthday and I had friends from all over and everyone was satisfied with all the amenities. I would recommend this place and consider staying here again.
Thank you!

Perfect place for a relaxing getaway!
This house was absolutely perfect for our group of 12 to relax, unwind, and socialize. The layout with the house works well for groups, with an open dining/kitchen/living room area on the main floor and an additional family room downstairs. When some folks wanted to stay up later, they could go downstairs where the sound was isolated from most of the bedrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook all meals. There was also a second kitchen downstairs that we did not use, but the second refrigerator came in handy! The house is about a mile from the Laurel Highlands hiking trail, as the owner informed us, which turned out to be one of the most beautiful trails I've ever seen. When we got home from a rainy day of hiking, it was perfect to be able to throw our muddy and wet clothes in the wash and relax by the living room fireplace.
We found everything to be incredibly clean and well-maintained, and the owner was available to answer all of our questions and explain the rather complex sound/TV system. Perhaps the only negative was that the internet was somewhat slow or spotty, but my argument was that we were here to relax and enjoy nature anyhow, so maybe that is actually a benefit.
The hot tub and porch were perfect places to gather, and it was nice that there were both covered and uncovered areas of the porch so it could really be used in all weather.
I would absolutely recommend staying here, and in fact we are considering booking again for next year's reunion.

Beautiful property with lots of room, lots of things to do, and lots of privacy.
PROS:
This is a beautiful home; so many amenities: the hot tub, the fire pit, the fishing lake, the pool table and ping pong table and darts, the beautiful partially-covered deck.
There was a lot of space for everyone to spread out (there were 11 adults and 3 small children).
They had corn hole and bocce ball, both of which we brought along ourselves.
The check-in and check-out process was very easy.
The owner called several times to make sure everything was OK.
Everything was very clean.
There were no spiders on the deck; it was well-cared for.
Very secluded, lots of privacy.
There were many, many pots and pans, both large and small; three crock pots; a waffle maker and a small mixer. However, there were no measuring cups or spoons.
CONS:
There was really no way to get cool air from the air conditioner to the back bedrooms.
And there was (we think) mold in the basement fridge.
The basement smelled like animal.
We thought that 76 was too hot to keep the property.
OVERALL:
We had a wonderful time and would definitely consider coming back again.

Great cabin for a group getaway!
This cabin was excellent! A group of us stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect! Very spacious, fully equipped with a hot tub, gas grill and a fire pit. We were very close to a great place to go kayaking, and also not far from Fallingwater. The house was perfectly clean and well setup - we were in need of nothing! The owner was very helpful and available and did his best to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely come back again! It was a great stay in a beautiful house.

Simply Amazing Cabin
This cabin was incredible in every way! From the bedrooms to the kitchen, everything was pristine and you could tell the owner truly cared about his home and his renters. Was honestly difficult to leave as everyone wanted to stay as long as possible. A short drive to Seven Springs makes this cabin worth every penny for anyone considering a ski weekend in the Laurel Highlands.

Why they chose this property
Built the Cabin for a private mountain retreat with pond, hiking, and Snowmobiling that is still close in proximity to Laurel Highlands and Hidden Valley and 7 Springs resorts.
What makes this property unique
This property is unique because of its close proximity to resorts and recreation, yet it is nestled among a forest of trees, on a mountaintop that is peaceful, serene and tranquil. It encourages family time and relaxation. Excellent views of the surrounding mountains. The only noise you hear is the rustling of the trees.
