Exquisitely furnished with two great rooms each with large fieldstone gas fireplace, two fully-equipped kitchens - the main kitchen features Viking appliances and Sub Zero Refrigerator - top of the line appliances through-out + wet bar with icemaker and mini-refrigerator. Two washer/dryers, two master suites, (one with his and her bath, walk-through steam shower, and Bain Ultra Air Jet Tub), six bedrooms (includes three kings, two queens, four twins + 2 trundles & 1 full futon, seven full and 2 half baths (includes two whirlpool and 1 airjet). Close to all amenities. Rent a canoe or pontoon boat at the nearby marina or swim lake.

Beautiful Big Canoe is a spectacular gated golf and tennis community just 1 hour north of Atlanta, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. Amenities include a 27 hole championship golf course, ten tennis courts (indoor and outdoor), new fitness center featuring: indoor pool, racquetball, exercise equipment, aerobics, snack bar and professional health services including: facials, massages, pedicures and more.

Our swim club includes: a swim lake with sandy beach, pool, waterfall rock slide, canoes, paddle boats and beach volleyball. We have three lakes for quiet boating (no gas motors), fishing and swimming. Hiking and jeep trails with picturesque waterfalls. A play field for basketball, baseball, soccer, walking and playground. Great restaurants and catering. Close to antique shopping, outlet mall, site-seeing, river rafting, speed boating, horseback riding, and so much more.

Spectacular

Our family came in for a reunion and a wedding, we had 5 couples (no kids) and this house was perfect. So many compliments from the family as well. The patio was perfect to look at the sunrise, and enjoy viewing the lake. It was nice having a large table so we could all sit at it as well.

Amazing Villa

My family, friends and I had a great time at this beautiful villa. Beverly was very easy to communicate with, helpful and extremely friendly. The property is exactly as described with an amazing location in the mountains where the trees have a different shade of green. Additionally, it has a great view of the lake that looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket. It was a wonderful getaway that I’d recommend to anyone and guarantee that in your moments there, you’ll be happy!

Great family get away

We had a week full of rest and relaxation. The property is spacious, with enough rooms to accommodate a large family. The Boyd’s were amazing hosts, they were available every step of the way, and are filled with lots of knowledge of the area, in regards to activities and towns to visit. We rented a pontoon on the lake, and spent the day jumping into the lake, swimming, and paddle boarding. Thank you Beverly for being such a great hostess. Christine

Perfect house for large families

This house is perfect for a large, multi-family vacation. With so many bedrooms everyone has a comfortable bed and private bath. The location of the house is ideal as it is centrally located in Big Canoe and a very short drive to all of the available amenities. We have stayed in this house multiple times and each time have had a wonderful stay. The Boyd family is very communicative and works hard to ensure that all of your needs are met.

Making memories with the family

We visited with our family, my brothers family and my sisters family, 7 cousins in all. The bunk room was amazing for the kids and we had all the space in the world for all of the families to spread out. We did a few hikes, rented a pontoon on the lake behind the house and spent a few days at the beach club which was a huge hit with all the kids from the 3 year old bouncing around in the pool to the 10-12 year olds doing countless laps on the obstacle course. Absolutely a vacation they won't forget.

Fantastic

We had an amazing stay at Boyd Villa! The house accommodated 8 adults and 6 children (ages 3-9) very well, with plenty of separate spaces to hang out. The kitchen has everything you need, and there’s a second oven and fridge on the lower level. We’ve stayed at many houses but this is everyone’s favorite. The decks are beautiful, and the kids loves playing outside. Lots of fireflies in the evening! The house is clean and comfortable. The host was lovely and checked in a few times to make sure everything was good. Highly recommend.

Great House and Responsive Owners

June 17-24, 2023 - We had 12 in our family (5 families in all) that stayed at the Boyd Villa, and found the property to be very spacious, well equipped, and accommodating. The Owners were particularly helpful in answering questions and making the Check-in/Check-out procedures very clear. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, so we were not able to use many of the amenities of Big Canoe. (We thought they were very expensive, so it might have been for the best.) Even though we were inside most of the time due to the rainy weather, there was enough room to have fun together and still have places to go for quiet moments when needed. The area we were in is very hilly, as is most of Big Canoe, so we had to drive to do anything, even hiking. However, it is beautiful and the scenic view of the lake and the sanctuary across the lake was wonderful.

Great stay in Big Canoe

We loved our stay at the Boyd Villa. It was an extended family get-together with eight adults and three kids, and we had plenty of room to spread out. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Be sure to use the code that Jim and Beverly provide for discounts on the Beach Club passes and other activities. Gibbs Gardens and Amicalola Falls are each about 15 minutes away and make great off-property day trips.

Graduation Getaway for my Daughter

We had a wonderful trip to celebrate my daughter graduating high school.. The house was perfect and the view was wonderful! Put all of the teenagers on the lower level and they had a great time with the pool table. Boating was my favorite on the lake. One note, there are not a lot of restaurants in the very local vicinity. Others are about a half hour or so away and some of the local ones were very pricey. If it was just my family we would have tried them out, but not with the large group of teens. We did not want to drive that far for dinners so I cooked most of our meals. Fortunately, the kitchen was well stocked and made cooking for a large group easier. Thanks for a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Bev was such a great host, stayed in constant communication with me on check in/how many guys i had coming. My team said mulitiple times what a great stay they had. Not only at the house but golf course was awesome to work with having a 16 man golf tourney, called the "SAVAGE INVITATIONAL".

The Villa at Big Canoe

The Villa is absolutely stunning. It’s in a prime location with beautiful views and the back of the home faces East so you catch amazing sunrises combined with a gorgeous lake. The hosts are phenomenal who respond immediately to anything needed and we’re very accommodating. The house is big enough to sleep 16 comfortably. We hope to have an opportunity to stay in the Big Canoe community again.
