Available for 30+ Nights ~ The Nest at Otter’s Landing is a great choice for your longer visit to the Russian River! Ever wonder what it would be like to live in a tiny home? This delightful 200 square foot studio cabin offers travelers a glimpse. Ideal for a solo traveler or a couple, this tiny yet well-appointed space exudes warmth and charm. On a large property shared by two other cabins, guests enjoy access to a riverfront yard with seasonal dock, a designated parking space, and high-speed internet.

Up the flight of stairs, guests are greeted by a welcoming front porch with outdoor seating. The front door opens into the main living area with a comfortable queen bed (all linens and bedding provided), ensuring a good night’s sleep, and a relaxing place to lounge and watch TV. Through the small doorway is a full kitchen, efficiently designed, and equipped with essential appliances and cookware. The clever foldaway counter offers an additional prep space or can be used (with provided but not photo’d counter stools) as an indoor dining spot. Off the main living area, a door leads to a full modern bathroom with a shower, stocked with plush towels, and toiletries for your convenience.

Downstairs – below the deck - is an outdoor, covered dining patio exclusively for the use of The Nest guests. The large, shared yard ends at the bank of the Russian River, and a natural path and stairs lead down to the water. Stairs and a boat/swim dock are available in the summer months.

Located just a short distance from downtown Guerneville, guests have easy access to shopping and dining. Armstrong Woods is 4 miles, The Charles Schultz Airport is 17 miles, the Sonoma Coast is 15 miles, and Santa Rosa is 20 miles. Whether you're relocating to the area, on an extended trip or in the area for work, this cottage serves as an ideal base for your stay.


Know Before You Book:
Monthly Rentals: Otter’s Landing (The Nest & Treehouse cottages) are only available for monthly rentals (30-to-90-night stays) at this time. All monthly stays require mid-stay cleanings and you may see yard service and other vendors on the property during your stay.

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Otter’s Landing – Nest - is 2 people. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am.

A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you are supporting local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County.

Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 1 vehicle along the fence – outside of the yard. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited.

Bed Sizes: Queen bed.

Heating: Electric heat.

Cooling: There is a ceiling fan in the main room and windows have screens. No AC

Kitchen: The delightful efficiency kitchen has a fridge, electric stove, sink, and is stocked with cooking and eating utensils, basic spices including salt and pepper and coffee maker. It does not include a dishwasher.

Bathroom: Full bathroom with shower.

Property: The Nest is the smallest unit at Otter’s Landing - a three unit property in the Vacation Beach neighborhood of Guerneville, CA. The Treehouse, the loft bedroom unit, sleeps 3 also rents for 30+ night stays. The two-bedroom Cottage is currently rented to kind and easy-going full time tenants. The large riverside yard and river access are shared by all three units.

Location: Otter’s Landing is in a cozy residential neighborhood. It is a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, and visitors. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park only in the area along the front fence and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Sound carries so we ask guests to be aware of noise – especially once quiet time starts at 10 pm. Stairs: While the living areas in the house are all one level, there are 12 steps up to the cottage and multiple paths and sets of stairs leading to the shared laundry room, river access and dock (seasonal). There is a long flight of stairs from the path in the yard to the river dock (seasonal).

Pet Friendly: This home welcomes 1 well-mannered dog. If you have more than 1 dog or other types of pets, please contact us to see if exceptions can be made before reserving.

Fencing:
Most of the property is fenced – the areas closest to the road and neighbors are fenced, but the area closest to the river is open.

A Note About TVs: The Samsung Smart TV in the main living area has access to Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and hundreds of streaming channels. Guests are welcome to bring their login info for these apps. The television does not have cable services.

Shared Amenities:
Laundry Room: Otter’s Landing has 3 cottages on the parcel. The Nest (this cottage) and Treehouse share a laundry room with a single washer and dryer below the Nest.

River Access, Dock, and River Deck: These amenities are shared between the 3 cottages on the property. Please be kind when sharing spaces and toys with others. The River Deck overlooks the river and has a picnic table.
Boats: While shown all together in the photos, are separated for each cottage.

BBQ – The Nest does not have a dedicated BBQ. You may bring a propane BBQ, but charcoal BBQs are prohibited at this time.

Docks, Boats, and River Access: These are seasonal amenities and only available when conditions allow. Expect docks, boats, and river access when the summer dams are in (mid-June to mid- September). Conditions vary from year to year.
