The condo has a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and an incredible view of the Caribbean. There is a second bedroom with 2 twin beds and a private bathroom. MY GUIDEBOOK:
What to Expect :
Bimini - 2,417 intrepid souls living on a couple of tiny islands surrounded by beautiful turquoise water perched on the edge of the gulf stream. Bimini is ALL about the water. On land, the original Bimini is a very safe and authentic place historically known for rum running, as a hangout for the likes of Hemingway, Martin- Luther King and world-class fishing/diving. Its best to explore both Old and New Bimini with an open mind and an island mentality. Rent a golf cart and go but stay on the left! US dollars and Bahamain dollars are of the same value. Credit cards accepted.
Old Bimini Eating:
Stuarts Conch- conch salad is the local specialty
Joe's Conch
Big Mike's Conch
Edith's Pizza- great pizza
My Three Daughters- my go-to for cracked conch
Big John's- well known restaurant/bar with a variety of foods
Big Game Club- famous hotel known by all fisherman with a variety of foods
Sherry's- a shack on the beach that makes great drinks and local fare
Smitty’s
Just to name a few.
New Bimini Resort World:
Several restaurants in the Hilton along with a Starbucks
360 - Fee to enter
Infinity Pool Eatery and bar when open.
Groceries:
Bimini is tiny and dependent on a supply boat that visits weekly. Hence, there are many small grocery stores. We like King Brown (Porgy Bay) and Robert's (Alice Town). In Resorts World there is Sue and Joys. There is a little of everything to be found but selection can be limited. Fresh fish, lobster and conch can be sourced on the island just by asking around. Remember, it’s a small Caribbean Island which is why you are coming to Bimini.

When You First Arrive:
You first need to pick up a wrist band to enter the private Bimini Bay Community. The bands will be at the HOA building behind Sue and Joys. Its a very small island and if you come by sea plane it is very near by. If you come by ferry, the red tran will drop you off. If you fly into South Bimini, the cab will take you there after a short ferry ride to North Bimini.
How To Find Condo In Bimini Bay:
Once you have your wrist band from the HOA, grab a cab over to unit 23232 in Bimini bay. You may just want to rent a cart for the day at Sue and Joys or for the entire time you are there. Finding the unit is easy. Enter the first secuirty gate, drive up to the infinity pool and make a right. It will the second three story condo building on the right. You can park and walk behind the units to the middle yellow set of condos. You are in the top unit. I will give you a private four digit code to enter.
Once You Are Settled In:
ost people want to hit the gorcery store and get some items. You can go to King Browns on the left hand side after you exit out through the Resort World archway on Queens Highway in about a mile. Its a small two lane unmaked road. STAY ON THE LEFT. LOL There are several other grocery stores but I've found King Browns to be my favorite. They have a little of everything but no store on this little island has a wide variety. Everything must come in by boat. There are a couple well stocked adult beverage stores on the right hand side as you contiue on down Queens Highway.
What To Do With Your Time:
This parts on you. Hit the beaches, infinity pool, ride up and down Queens Highway checking out shops, restaruants, bars, and looking at how the local inhabitants live, work, go to church and school. Bimini is very safe, the people are so nice and its uniquely a small Bahamian island with two worlds on it. The one you will be staying in and their community. There is a side top rode on the right off Queens Hwy that goes along Radio Beach and many other beaches. Enjoy! Oh and check out that beautiful water. There is an ATM inside the lobby of the HIiton.
Costs:
You know how expensive everything is at home. It will be a little more expensive here because you choose to go out in the middle of the Caribean on a little Bahamian island where everything cost to just get it there. Here are some costs to be aware of. Cabs are reasonable at $5 one way per person. ATM fees can be $8.50 so get out enough to spend. Many restaurants include an 18% gratuity on the bill so look before you tip. Groceries and adult beverages are pricey at home but pricier here. Shopping in local shops can be reasonable. Most vacation spots are like this anywhere.
Good Apps To Find Places:

Below are suggestions for travel to Bimini other than by private boat:

Sea Plane (My favorite!) -
