Welcome to your Downtown Haven which is the ultimate central location in the city and close to the airport! Chill in the charming ambiance of this 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home in Bankers Hill steps from Balboa Park and Little Italy. This quintessential San Diego home combines a vibrant and organic design style with urban furnishings for a comfortable home-away-from-home as you enjoy the excitement of San Diego’s many attractions, parks, beaches, golf courses, and wonderful dining.
Enter the warm spacious common area which boasts a living and kitchen area complete with a dining alcove! The dining and living area welcomes up to 8 guests for a seated meal and room to cozy up and watch your favorite show after a fun day of exploring in the sun. The living room is furnished with a modern couch and natural sitting chairs, and a large flatscreen smart TV, which sets a relaxing tone for time with friends and family. Beyond the living room is the gourmet and well-stocked kitchen, equipped with all stainless steel appliances, and ample counter space, and is ready for an enjoyable shared culinary experience with your guests.
Step outside of the front porch door to relax in the beauty of the patio which is a fenced oasis of fun for friends, pets, and kids. The yard seating and dining chairs where friends can relax with a cold beverage, and a barbecue grilling station for cookout evening. The patio is a perfect spot for friends traveling together to make memories, play a round of corn hole, and raise a glass to fun times in the city.
Two bedrooms are on the main floor and one bedroom is upstairs. The primary bedroom on the 1st floor has a plush queen bed, closet, and a private ensuite with a vanity and shower. The second bedroom downstairs welcomes guests with a queen-sized bed making it the perfect space to tuck in at night and also has an en suite bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The third bedroom upstairs also features a comfortable queen bed as well as a bathroom adjacent to the bedroom has a vanity, shower/tub combo, and toilet. To accommodate different guests and families, the has a porta-crib available and two rollaway twin beds to perfectly accommodate our wonderful guests. There is one upstairs in the closet and downstairs in the entryway closet.
The rental has 2 parking spaces off-street on the driveway. If needed, there is a laundry machine with a washer, dryer, iron & board available on the property in a shared laundry space. The home is within walking or biking distance of several shops, coffee houses, restaurants, bars, breweries, parks, and grocery stores. It is a short drive to many activities including Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, surfing and beaches, checking out Legoland, cruising the boardwalk on bikes, or enjoying the many restaurants and entertainment in the Gaslamp District--there is no shortage of fun to be had. We always like to remind guests that this is a busy and lively part of town being close to all the amenities and to anticipate city noise being close to so many amenities and the airport. We provide white noise machines in the rooms for our light sleepers!
You will likely need a car to get here, but you can easily walk or bike to local restaurants and stores once you arrive. There are three bus stops within a half mile of the home making plenty of public transit options available in addition to all the places you can walk.
