About this property

Longhorn Barn: Newly Built 2-bedroom apartment on Mountain Bike Ranch in Warda

BCRWARDA.COM

About 20 minutes from downtown Round Top, our newly built and furnished Longhorn Barn Apartment is located on a working 140-acre Longhorn cattle and Mountain bike ranch. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, antique shopping in Round Top, biking, hiking, catch-and-release fishing in our 2 ponds, and exquisite star gazing! We have 8.9 miles of well-shaded, rolling, single-track trails that wind through hardwoods, pines, pastures, and creeks. Enjoy our entire 2-bedroom apartment between Round Top, La Grange, and Giddings.

The space: The barn apartment has 2 bedrooms (each with its own queen-sized bed), a living room with a connected dining and kitchen area, 2 bathrooms (sink, toilet, shower only), and a covered, furnished outside patio with great sunset views. Near the patio is a fire pit, and a gas grill and ice machine are available at the main house for your use.

Bluff Creek Ranch is the original private mountain bike ranch in Texas. Visitors come to antique in the nearby towns, ride and hike the trails, and camp in our primitive camping area encircling our larger fishing pond. RVs are welcome in designated areas on the property with various 15, 30, and 50-amp hookups. On the weekends there will be riders and campers riding or walking through the barn aisle to follow the trail.

The second barn nearby has an additional half bath with a separate large shower room that you may use; it is also used by any campers who are staying at the back pond. The main ranch house is about 200 feet away and has two private complete bathrooms attached to the carport. These bathrooms are accessible to anyone using the property at all times.

Our herd of Longhorn cattle roams the pastures next to the barn and throughout the property, and Bindi, the ranch dog, loves to welcome guests who are willing to throw a pinecone for her.

Trail access: Mountain bikers may access trails in the front pasture, and hikers are asked to walk the trails backward starting behind the barn to help spot oncoming bikers and move to the side. All gates are to be returned to their current position to prevent cattle from leaving their designated area or having water access cut off.

We do not accept pets in the unit.

Hello! My name is Jeannine, and my husband, Breck, and I purchased Bluff Creek Ranch in 2020. My husband is an avid mountain biker, so he fell in love with the idea of owning and running his very own mountain bike ranch. When we first came to BCR as a family, we were all instantly excited to be a part of such an amazing place. We love to create a welcoming, peaceful, and nature filled experience for our guests. You will often see my daughters and I taking care of our four horses in the first barn or feeding the longhorn herd in the pastures. We hope you enjoy your stay at our favorite place in Texas.

Why they chose this property

Bluff Creek Ranch is a 140 acre working cattle ranch with 8.9 miles of single-track mountain biking trails. We have two large catch-and-release ponds that are stocked with bass and a variety of naturally occurring Texas fish. Our longhorn herd travels throughout the property and often comes to get visit at the fence. My family loves to watch the sunset from the bluff which is a short walk following the drive way out the back of the barn. We have two naturally flowing creeks on the property that are a great place to spot wild life! In the Spring, Bluff Creek Ranch is home to hundreds of different Texas Wild Flowers including our favorites: Blue Bonnets and Indian Paint Brushes.

What makes this property unique

Our property is the perfect place to experience the beauty of Texas, shop around Round Top Texas' famous antique shops, ride or hike exciting mountain bike trails, camp under the beautiful Texas stars, or to catch fish with your family!
