About this property

Allium Hill House, Modern countryside escape on a private vineyard

Experience a one-of-a-kind Northern Michigan vacation with a stay at Allium Hill House, a modern luxury farm stay on our 10-acre private agricultural estate.

Stylish gut renovated house on a beautiful, private 10-acre country estate. A tree-lined driveway brings you past the small estate vineyard and modern barn to the fully renovated, 5-bedroom, 5-bath house, peacefully secluded from the working part of the farm and exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Enter our private rural paradise with 360 degree private views of woods and countryside, back deck overlooking endless trees and expansive front lawn with fire-pit and magic hour views.

Taken down to the studs and imaginatively redesigned with comfort, luxury, and playfulness in mind, we have completely transformed the original house from the 1970s to created a unique environment where city vibes meet rustic Leelanau roots.

Designed for adult groups of 8-10, every detail of the house is thoughtfully considered and artfully appointed featuring designer finishes, Toto toilets, fully tiled walk-in showers, and newly furnished with a mix of current and vintage finds.

The chef’s kitchen features high-end appliances and oversized center island. Whether you choose to enjoy casual meals around the island, group feasts at the dining table for 10 or al fresco on the back deck overlooking private woods, you will find the gathering spaces of the house to be perfectly suited for memorable evenings with friends and family centered around amazing local food and drink.

The living room surrounds the original floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fireplace with comfortable seating that overlooks a giant bay window with field views or swivel to enjoy the 65" TV tastefully mounted on the reclaimed beam mantle.

Sliding glass doors open from the kitchen to the expansive back deck with dining table for 10, Blackstone grill, multiple outdoor seating areas and southwest facing private wooded views. The front yard overlooks the rolling hills of the property and features a newly hardscaped firepit patio with modern adirondak chairs and Solo Yukon Stove.

Retreat to one of the five playfully sophisticated suites, featuring new Leesa mattresses and Parachute linens.

Sugar Suite: This whimsical king suite on the top floor envelops you in color with an en suite water closet and stand-alone walk-in fully tiled shower room.

Salt Suite: This moody glam king suite on the main level features a large closet, desk and peaceful en suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

Sourdough Suite: This earthy king suite feels like a retreat with a private balcony, desk alcove, large open walk-in closet, en suite bathroom with double vanities and oversized walk-in shower bathed in natural light.

Greens Room: The bright queen room on the main level is steps away from the bold designer hallway bath with walk-in tiled shower.

Lemon Loft: Two large dormer windows shed clear sunlight into this cheerful loft-like room with two twin beds and full bath across the hall.

The basement rec room features a large sectional and 75” TV.

Whether your days in Leelanau County are filled with wine tasting, biking on the TART trail from our corner or visiting one of the area’s majestic Lake Michigan beaches, end your day here with drinks at magic hour, s’mores around the fire, or star gazing in the quiet night beyond the canopy of trees.

The property is truly gorgeous in any season, immersed in green for summer's long nights, vibrant in color during fall and a winter wonderland in winter.

*While the house is private and naturally separated from the working part of the farm, please note that there are multiple buildings on the 10-acre property with activity and the hosts are on the property daily.*

Why they chose this property

Our location is perfectly located 15 minutes north of downtown Traverse City and central to all that Leelanau County has to offer.

What makes this property unique

The house is situated on a magical 10-acre private agricultural estate with newly planted vineyard and canopy of trees. The juxtaposition of newly gut renovated house with modern amenities in the middle of mature landscaping and rural countryside is the best of both worlds.
