The home was a fantastic location to wrap up our vacation. The spacious living room and kitchen provided plenty of comfortable space to relax at the end of our busy days.
The Spyglass House was a wonderful place to stay. It was incredibly spacious, had spectacular ocean views, and is a stone's throw away from miles of uncrowded beaches. I wish we were able to stay longer.
Second time staying there and loved it yet again. Great location and views. The only small gripe is that the carpeting could use a refresh. Either way, we'll be back!
This space was perfect for our extended family with 4yo and grandparents. Easy walk to the beach. Fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel cookware. Not musty or damp at all. Great views. Quiet neighborhood. Comfortable beds and living room. Would definitely stay again.
We love the Sunset neighborhood of Bandon, and this house two blocks off the beach with a view of Devil's Kitchen is comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. The fact that it accommodates dogs is extra fabulous. The property manager was immediately responsive to a minor issue and excellent at communication. We'd definitely rent it again.

Perfect for Beach Getaway
My husband and I took our daughter and friend down to Bandon. Location was fantastic. Staying a short drive out of town lent to the R&R we were looking for. The owners have thought of everything with DVD's, boardgames, and all the tools needed to cook a great meal. The rental was clean and very organized. Very comfortable (although worn from being a rental) and you certainly can't beat the views of the beach. I have already referred this property over to some other friends. I would certainly recommend this for an Oregon beach getaway.
We utilized this home as an overflow sleeping accommodation for our annual women's retreat. Perfect location as main gathering house was adjacent. The property manager was great to communicate with. Only 2 drawbacks for our needs......Elevational changes within the house proved challenging and were unexpected. Only 2 bathrooms was a bummer though we knew that going in.
You can't beat the location: just a block and a half from the beach. The views were amazing from the common areas of the house. The rooms were nicely spaced so that the kids had room to play without being underfoot. Everyone was quite comfortable. Unfortunately, the house had some cleaning issues that the property manager was decisive and prompt about addressing. If it weren't for the cleaning issues, this would be a 5 star review.
This house was a class act!! Sam the property manager was prompt to answer my questions and the house is a real amazing place Zz you see ocean from the entire kitchen living room and dining room and great perspectives of the rocks .. with the spyglass telescope u are able to study the starfish under the ocean tides .. fully equipped with all u need .. it is a very cozy home to share with friends and family .. I will come back to place 100 times !! Viva la spyglass sea serenity!!
The house was tidy enough and the view was pretty great, however I don't think we'll be staying again. The neighboring house has a direct view into the master bedroom. We opened the blinds to someone staring directly into our room. The owners/managers of the home can't be held accountable for this, but it is something to keep in mind.
The home offers ample space with wonderful views in the main living area. Kitchen is spacious. Furnishings are adequate in some parts of the home, excellent in others.
The television and DVD set up is a major liability. No instructions provided. Property manager provided TV guidance. DVID never worked, no matter how many strategies we employed. All in all, this part of the stay was a major liability and needs to be addressed, given the price required.

Beach House Fun
This house was a place my entire family enjoyed, even the dog. The house sits on a small bluff providing sweeping views to the left and right providing you with a great ocean experience from most windows. While the house isn't on the beach it's a two minute walk down to the beach.
The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and baking. I had to contact the management about one small issue and he was very responsive. I was beyond impressed. The house is comfortable for large groups. One slight concern is the wifi went in and out but that can be expected in these types of rural areas.
We took advantage of the local horse stables for a fun ride on the beach. They are great people!
If you are looking for a place on the Oregon coast, one with unique beauty that your entire family will enjoy, this is the place!

Great location. 1970's chic
Undoubtedly a spectacular location with a million dollar view, the spyglass lacked some basic essentials to make it truly excellent. A guide book on how to use the complicated video system, batteries and an instruction guide to the eponymous telescope, information about how to use the barbecue (which had not been cleaned in several years), and some firewood might have made the experience better. A little manual would be perfect. The shag carpet though out the house is a little worse for wear and the garage door only opens under brute force. (We tried everything to get the electric door opener to work, but to no avail).
The dishwasher and the gas stove were great as we're the pots and pans.
I would certainly stay in the neighborhood if not at this house.
Overall good, but not outstanding.
Group of four men in town for golf. About 20 minute drive to Brandon Dunes and minutes from Brandon Crossings. Markets and restaurants minutes from property. Third row from the beach. Easy walk to gorgeous beach. All rooms were comfortable.
If you’re a cook be sure to bring spices, olive oil, etc. kitchen has everything you need but could be better organized to avoid hunting for things.
Overall, the house was a great value and located in a beautiful location.
We fell in love with these quiet windswept dunes with beach homes and we'll never forget the first time we walked on this amazing beach. We will always treasure being literally steps from one of the most spectacular beaches in Bandon.
What makes this property unique
One of my favorite things to do is watch the sun set over the open Pacific. As the sun sets, the rooms in this home glow with sunlight.
