Family Fall Wedding
We were attending a wedding in the area and needed a place to stay with our large family. The Winona House and Tammy were wonderful! The house had something for everyone. The kids, all adults, hung out in the lounge, played pool and even got in a game of hoops. We enjoyed family time on the patio and beautiful views of the lake. Before the wedding we took photos in the backyard and by the gazebo. We loved our stay and we highly recommend.

About the host

I was born and raised in Indiana. A true water enthusiast! I enjoy waking up in the morning to the views of the lake. I find it to be very calm and peaceful. After a cup of coffee on one of the porches or gazebos, I usually take a bike ride around the lake. Weekdays the water is calm in the morning and at sunset. I find that to be the best time to kyak or paddle board. As you can see I enjoy staying active!

I have always been one that enjoys entertaining. My place is set up for both casual and formal meals. In the summer as long as weather permits, I prefer to dine outside. I have a mini golden doodle that is living her best life between the lake and the beaches of Florida. You will find her running up and down the dock and jumping in for a swim to cool off many times a day. She enjoys a walk around the lake and playing in her large back yard. I also spend quality time with my family and grandchildren here. The kids enjoy swimming as the bottom of the lake is sandy at my place. They also enjoy tubing and boating on this natural spring fed lake. My friends and family enjoy playing in the gym. We like playing pickle ball and corn hole together. My son was a basketball stud in his glory days and loves to shoot some hoop in the gym.

The other attractions I enjoy are being close to the beaches of Lake Michigan, Notre Dame football games, and watching the Culver Military students engaged in their sports. I love to go over to Culver and watch the rowing team out practicing as I walk over there sometimes for a change of pace. If you get a chance to watch the students march in uniform, it is very impressive!

My other hobbies would be decorating, shopping, and travel! I hope this gives you a little insight about who would be hosting your stay.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Tami

Why they chose this property

I enjoy the natural beauty! There are many trees around the lake. You will find different species of birds at different times of the year. I love that the lake is the 3rd largest natural spring fed lake in Indiana.

What makes this property unique

My property is a large all brick home with beautiful views from the north shore. The arches both upper and lower give it more of an Italian villa feel. I find it unique in looks but also that it has 3 yards. The back yard has a sidewalk that goes around the entire back yard. It makes it perfect for my grandkids to ride their scooters and bikes around. Plus, it is fenced around the perimeter for privacy. There is a gazebo there with still a view of the lake. A swing that is relaxing to enjoy a cool beverage. The driveway is large with ample parking. That is rare for lake property!

The front yard is fenced in as well. There are many friendly people that will say hello on their walk, bike ride, or golf cart ride. I enjoy the table on the front porch for meals. You will get a nice breeze while sitting in the shade watching the lake.

I have a third space right by the water. You will find another gazebo there. It is great for those that want to watch all water activities and listen to the water hitting the shore but enjoy the shade. For the sun lovers there is a small patio and a open air swing that will lay down to a futon bed. The pier is long. That allows ample space for the kids to enjoy swimming and being able to touch! You can also sit the plastic chairs in the water and enjoy conversations. I have the stairs in the water that make getting back on the pier a breeze! There are 2 bolted in benches on the end of the dock.
