Experience San Diego indoor/outdoor living from this breezy hilltop location in Bay Park. Enjoy convenient proximity to everything...minutes from airport, Mission Bay, SeaWorld, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, zoo, downtown, UCSD. This is the private guest apartment of the main residence that has been recently transformed to include generous amenities including 2BR, 2BA and a covered private patio all on a single level with peek-a-boo ocean views.

The entrance to your space is through the front door and is your private entrance for the duration of your stay. You will pass through a decorative white wrought iron gate into the covered entryway to reach the front door.
Upon entering the space, you will step into the living room. To the right are the 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and laundry. To the left is the kitchenette and 4 panel sliding glass door that opens to your private, covered, wrap-around patio.
The living room has two couches and a wall mounted TV. There is also an expandable dining table with an L shaped bench seat. The living room has its own mini split heating/AC unit, allowing you to set the climate as you wish via a remote control.
The kitchenette has a microwave, a full refrigerator, dishwasher, sink with garbage disposal, coffee maker and tea kettle. Cooking appliances include an oven/air fryer/toaster combination unit (brand: Tovala) and a full gas griddle cooktop (brand: Blackstone) that is located next to the kitchenette on the patio.
Stepping on your patio from the living room, you will find another dining area (table with seating for 4) and the Blackstone cooktop, complete with all the cooking and cleaning essentials you would need. Further to the left, the patio wraps around to a seating area with a couch and an outdoor bar countertop with 2 bar chairs. The patio features ceiling mounted patio heaters to keep you and your group comfortable on cooler evenings.
The bedrooms each have a queen-size bed and spacious step-in closets. Both bedrooms have their own mini-split heating/AC unit, allowing independent temperature controls for your comfort.
Bedroom 1 has an attached full bathroom, a large dresser and a desk with a computer monitor.
Bedroom 2 has two nightstands and is located next to the other full bathroom. You will find extra pillows, blankets and beach towels in the closets. There are also hangers, closet storage units, suitcase racks and laundry baskets to allow you to unpack and feel at home.
The laundry closet has a washer and dryer and is fully stocked with detergent, dryer sheets, stain remover, laundry hamper and drying rack.

This space is all one level (no steps or stairs.) The only step up you will make is from the curb on to the property.

You will park on the street. Parking spaces are plentiful on our wide street.

We are located in a residential neighborhood and request our guests respect quiet hours after 10 pm, bringing conversations inside after that time.

Notes about the property:

The residence has been remodeled specifically to create a private guest apartment that is attached but is walled off and separate from the rest of the residence. Your guest apartment is the front section of the property and everything in it is private to you. We (your hosts) live on the property in the back section of the residence. You will find that even though it is one house, the spaces function as separate, private areas. Your guest apartment is closed and locked off from the residence in the back part of the property.
The entrance to your space is the traditional front door to the house. It is your private entrance to your space, but note that since it's the normal front door to the house, mail will come and deliveries may come, but no action is needed on your part.

We will say hello if we see you around but overall, we will be your “hands off hosts” and leave you to relax and enjoy your space and your vacation. If you need anything we’re just a message away

Notes about Patio:

Your private patio is just for you. It is covered and furnished with lots of comfy details. In addition to your private patio space, you also have access to a shared patio area.
The shared patio is an uncovered portion of the patio in the back of the property. A gate separates your private patio from the shared patio. A curtain can also be drawn for additional privacy. The shared portion of the patio is shared with us (your hosts) and our dog (Willy). More about Willy next...

Dog on property:

We have a dog named Willy. He is a 2.5 year goldendoodle.
Even though we plan to minimize the times where Willy is around, we wanted to make sure guests are aware that we have a dog. He is not a loud or vocal dog, but he may bark when he first notices guests/activity in the front portion of the house.
He's friendly and curious, so keeping the gate between your patio and the shared patio closed will help him respect your boundaries. If he is home during your visit, you may see him heading down to the yard at the back of the house (via the shared patio) or getting hosed down after a trip to the beach. If you love dogs and want to pet him and say hi, just let us know but otherwise, we will keep him entertained elsewhere.

This place was above and beyond our expectations. Perfect location! Impecable house. We especially loved the accordion door that leads you into the side and front hangout areas. I could go on and on if I could… will definitely plan another trip just so I can come stay here. Todd, Melissa, and Willie were very welcoming.
