The bright and spacious living room has a large, comfortable sofa, Air Conditioning, and TV. There's a king-size bed in the master, a queen-size bed in the second, and a bunk bed with one full and one twin in the third bedroom, which also has a desk and chair if you need to get some work done. The sofa is a comfortable sleeper sofa, so there is plenty of room.
The Rooms:
• Living Room: Large Comfy Sofa, TV, Sonos Speaker
• Master BR: King Size Bed and Bathroom
• 2nd BR: Queen Size Bed and Bathroom
• 3rd BR: Bunk Bed with Full on bottom, Twin on top
• Office Nook: a desk and chair in 3rd BR
• Kitchen/Dining: Modern Appliances, large counters, and dining for 6
Please note that the bunk bed has a weight limit of 600 lbs total. It is not recommended for someone heavier than 150 lbs to sleep on the top bunk. Small children should also not sleep on the top bunk because it could be dangerous. Please be cautious when using the top bunk. Safety First makes the best vacations!
There are three AC units. One is in the master bedroom, one is in the second bedroom, and the third is in the living room. All bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans.
We recommend renting a golf cart during your stay. It's only a 20-minute walk into downtown Sayulita, and two minutes up the driveway. It is pretty steep. There is parking for either one car or one golf cart.
Parking
Please park with your vehicle fully within the wooden stake perimeter of the parking area. This area has traffic and cars parked beyond the stakes blocks passing vehicles.
The apartment is your private space for your vacation. The pool is shared with other units.
You will be provided with a digital Boarding Pass in our communications with you about your stay. The Boarding Pass will have detailed property, parking, and access information and your code for the door lock will arrive about 30 minutes prior to check-in time.
You can reach us through your Boarding Pass. The link is provided in every text or email we send to you. All information about your rental, the property, access, and the surrounding area is located in the Boarding Pass. It is mobile friendly for easy access on your phone - and you do not need to download an app.
Mexico is different from the USA or Canada in that the country/people have their own sets of traditions, values, norms, and ways of life. Many things we take for granted “up north” are not quite the same down here in Sayulita. Sometimes variables like utilities, smells, noise, neighbors, cars, animal life, repair times, etc just cannot be managed in the same manner as in other parts of the world. While we do our very best to ensure a delightful and 100% positive vacation, please understand that some of the reasons we love living and vacationing in Mexico can occasionally be a bit inconvenient. Thus, our refund policy will not cover any of the above items unless it is something within our immediate control. Thank you for understanding.
Tesoro Escondido Information and Rules
Welcome! To ensure everyone’s enjoyment of the property, please have everyone in your group review the following rules BEFORE your stay.
1. A maximum of 5 people are allowed in the apartment; there are cameras outside to monitor that. This is a family-oriented building and is not for big parties.
2. The parking space will fit two vehicles, one in front of the other. There is also a plug on the wall on the very left. Additional vehicles need to be parked on the street at the bottom of the hill.
3. When the AC is on, please keep the windows and doors closed.
4. Turn off all AC units and lights before leaving.
5. You will need to be extremely careful with how much water you use. The town often runs out of water, but we have a tank that holds some reserve water. If you use too much, you will not have any water. Please, only use what you need.
6. Quiet time is from 10pm to 8am. Please keep noise, voices, and music down during these hours. There is a Noiseaware device that monitors decibels and you will get an alert if your group is loud. The alerts will continue until the loudness is resolved. The Golden Rule always applies - you don't want to hear other people making a racket, so do your best to offer the same in return.
7. For security reasons, always keep the metal gate locked and close it gently, do not slam it.
8. You must take a quick shower in the outside washroom before entering the pool. There is a bathroom outside near the deep end of the pool.
9. Pool hours are 9 am to 9 pm.
10. No food or drinks are allowed in the pool.
11. Respect the volume of music and voices while you are at the pool.
12. No pets are allowed on the property, unless with an approved exception.
13. No drugs are allowed on the property.
14. No smoking anywhere on the property; you must go to the street to smoke or vape.
15. Do not leave garbage outside. Take your garbage down the steep driveway to the pile across the street.
16. Respect workers and neighbors on the property.
17. Access to the roof and the basement is not allowed; these areas are private.
18. Do not hang clothes or towels on the patio, and clean up after yourself.
Humidity: This area has high humidity and it’s important to take steps to reduce it in the apartment. Always keep the ceiling fans moving. During the day, you should open all the doors and windows with the fans on. When you go out for the day, keep the windows open and turn the air conditioning off. When you get home, close the windows and turn on the AC units on either cool or dry mode.
The stove: to light any of the burners or the oven, you will need to press and turn the knob to high, hold it, then press the ignition tab until the fire lights. If it does not light, please wait a moment and try again.
Drinking water: we have drinking water delivered to the property and there is a dispenser for the jugs - it is best to use this water for cooking
Hot water: it may take a few minutes for the hot water to come through. Turn the dial all the way to hot for a few minutes. If the hot water turns cold after some time, simply turn off the water and repeat the process.
Water tank: it is very important that everyone in the building and in the town conserves water. There is a limited supply, and each condo has their own water supply tank. If one condo unit uses too much, they may run out of running water for days or even weeks. Please be mindful of this so you do not run out of water.
Food safety: the ice served in restaurants in Sayulita is generally safe. If you see a hole through the ice, that means it was made in a factory using purified water.
Ocean safety: Please be extremely careful when you swim in the ocean. Sometimes the waves and rip tides can be very dangerous.
Thank you so much, and enjoy your stay!
