Dragonfly Beach House: Walk The Beach Or Soak Under The Stars In The Hot Tub!
The ever-changing view of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound from our huge living room windows will provide a beautiful backdrop for your Seattle beach vacation. Cozy up in the living room to catch up with the world on our fast wifi network, stream programs on the smart TV or tune into cable, or sip a glass of wine with your traveling companions. The large dining room table provides a place to share gourmet meals whipped up in the spacious, bright kitchen or on the gas grill.
This is a two-bedroom house. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and door that opens onto the patio and hot tub area. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed and serene reading area. The house's one bathroom has a large claw-foot soaking tub with shower.
Conveniences: fast WIFI, smart TV with cable and streaming capabilities, washer & dryer, coffee & tea, all bedding, towels, and robes for the hot tub provided.
Parking: Admittedly difficult. Our garage was built along with the house in 1910 and is very small. On-street parking is not available on our street. If your car can't squeeze into the garage, it might be necessary to park up to a block away.
Alternatives: Uber cars and taxis are readily available all over Seattle. Guests can catch a shuttle bus on Alki Ave that will take them directly to the pier where the water taxi departs for downtown Seattle. The regular Metro bus stop is also just about a block from the house.

We loved staying here. Everything we needed was there. Robes were such a nice touch. Would highly recommend. Parking spot was small, but our car fit fine!
The house is very clean, well put together, in a quiet nice neighborhood. I would certainly come back for my next work trip! The views of the water are quite nice.
My first time visiting Seattle - the listing was accurate, check-in and out was smooth and easy, and the house was perfect and has incredible views. Would love to stay again when I return!
Super nice, beautifully appointed home with lots of thoughtful details like snacks, coffee, extra bedding, a pack and play, robes, and cleaning supplies at the ready.
This was the second leg of a trip with a toddler, so having access to a washer/dryer was crucial. It was also great to have a beautiful kitchen and dining room to enjoy meals without having to go out every night. Location was great, check-in was seamless, and of course, the hot tub with a million dollar view caps it all off.
A simple home with a gorgeous view. When we arrived it was very neat and tidy. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle soon!
Cheers
From all the activities enjoyed, to hearing the ocean every day, and being able to make this vacation everything I wanted it to be was all made possible by this residence.
We loved our stay here. Steps away from Alki Beach and a beautiful view of the Bay and downtown Seattle. We loved sitting in the hot tub and taking in all of the views. The parking was exactly as the host indicated, and the stairs are very do-able, even for my senior parents. We will be back!
We have stayed in multiple rentals in West Seattle and especially Alki.. Laura’s spot has been the best.. other than old legs not being able to walk down to the beach, I will be back! House is a 1916 remodel, perfectly done! Great kitchen, we entertained 6 guests @ the big table. Our Queen bed was comfy, and we could see the Sun come up! Thank you Laura
We loved our time at the Alki Beach house! From the moment we opened the door, the decor was charming and the front room is filled with windows and light that provide an ideal view of the beach, horizon, bay, islands, and mountains. Kitchen and bathroom were stocked, clean, and generally just pleasing ... free-standing deep tub is another of the points that impress everywhere you look. Beds are comfortable, living room has a TV with streaming access, but why bother when there's the ocean view and a hot tub overlooking the Bay. Water taxi to downtown is walkable, the hosts were clear and friendly, but tbh we didn't need a thing! Grab this listing if you can get it.
Beautiful view. Perfect location. As 80+ visitors we were thankful we could navigate the steps and the walk from parking up the street. You don't get this view with no effort. Will definitely come again. And I would recommend not even trying to park in the garage unless you have a mini.
This was just perfect for the two of us friends (for over 30 years) to have a weekend away. The place is even more adorable than pictured. Parking was easy just down the street and the stairs helped us rationalize all the ice cream. We ventured out shopping and exploring, but wanted to be home each evening early to spend plenty of time in the hot tub and just enjoying the property. Watching the fairies and other boats was so nice. And the bathrobes were such an appreciated touch! I e loved it!!
If you want to experience Seattle comfortably without a care in the world, don't miss the Dragonfly! They thought of everything you'd need, so you can focus on relaxing & soaking in this scenic city. SO simple to get around & SO much to see from this beautiful vantage point above Alki Beach. Easy to hop a water taxi to get to all the action in the city's center--whether your idea of fun is visiting the Seattle Aquarium, picking a fresh bouquet from Pike's Market, or taking in a Mariners game. Absolutely breathtaking views whether you're sitting on the front porch, in the hot tub, or on the couch--you won't find a better place to unwind. Our family truly did not want to leave--not simply Seattle but also this little slice of heaven!
Our family of 4 (two teens, two adults) plus nearby family members absolutely loved our stay in Dragonfly Beach House, just the cutest, most charming cottage imaginable. The view of the Sound through the vintage glass windows was lovely and relaxing. The hot tub and outside seating area was relaxing and a great place to watch boat and ferry traffic on the Sound. Close enough to walk to shops and restaurants on Alki Beach, as well as walking on the beach itself, it is also close enough to the water taxi to easily get to downtown Seattle. Photos accurately show both interior and exterior of this adorable cottage. The only downside to Dragonfly Beach House is the parking. If you're driving a very small car (like a mini Cooper) you can park in the garage, but anything bigger won't fit and there is no street parking in front of the cottage -- there is on-street parking nearby but if you are traveling with someone who has difficulty with climbing up steep streets (and exterior stairs) or pushing a baby stroller, this may not be the best place for you. For our family though, it was perfect. None of us wanted to leave!
Really liked this rental. Parking situation was a challenge literally up a steep hill on another street. The home is very nice and comfortable with a great kitchen. Located within walking distance of the beach strip and all the fun and food options. Close enough to hear the activity and traffic along beach front. Not bad but it was noticeable at times.
