About this property

In our Luxurious Mermaid Inn, you'll have front-row seats to some incomparable Long Island Sounds sunsets. Sit on the large deck or sit directly on the beach for one-of-a-kind views. Or simply dip and relax in the hot tub while sipping a glass of wine and admiring the view of the water.

This 6-bedroom beach house sleeps 12. The master bedroom with a King bed and one of the Queen bedrooms has its own access to the balcony. Two of the 6 bedrooms are divided by pocket doors for privacy. The open floor concept allows you to move around the kitchen. The home also comes with central air/heating. There is a sunroom with wrap-around windows where you can have a spectacular view of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. A river rocks fireplace is always ready during cold nights and/or wintertime. You can also enjoy outdoor dining with an outdoor BBQ grill or have dinner inside with the whole family in a large dining room that seats 12! Have a great time and have fun in the game room on a pool table, a foosball, and an air hockey table.

When you book a getaway with us, you are guaranteed essential amenities including free parking, WIFI, and cable TV. Nearly all of our homes also come with kayaks to keep adventure close by. You are free to explore local destinations including the vineyards for wine tasting, farm stands to support local growers, a close-knit beach community, and nature reserves to explore. The five-star restaurants are minutes away as well as the Hamptons, Greenport, Montauk, and/or Shelter Island.

The property is subject to a $95 hot tub fee per cleaning service.

Cancellation Policy
Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive 100%.
Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund.

Perfect for our crew !

Beach fun!

House is great, owners are great, beach front is great, playground for kids right next door is great, restaurant across the street was spectacular, and the deer roaming around at night made this location and vacation that much more magical. I have nothing but positive things to say about this house, the location, and the property owners.

Amazing location

It's hard to beat this spot! Right on the beach, next to the playground, close to town - it's an amazing location! The hot tub was a huge hit for the kids, and the set up inside is functional and cozy. Debbie and Virginia were very responsive and settled issues quickly. All in all, a great stay!

This house was situated in a quiet little hamlet that rested between the beach and a marsh lending wonderful views from both sides of the home. The house was in good shape and we really didn’t need to bring much more than our water shoes. Debbie was available to answer questions at a moments notice and the six of us really enjoyed our stay. Sunsets, kayaking and bonfires were the best. House decks are fab. The only things amiss were the lack of a broom and decent wine key! This vacation home was great.

The house was great and the location was amazing. Out the door, down the steps and onto the beach. Terrific restaurant steps away. The homeowner was very hands on and even used the Ring cameras to communicate with us and make sure all was going well.

Sunsets and sand!

We were so excited to find a place to have our Covid escape and we were very lucky to find it. Wading River is a hidden gem! Staying beach front and watching these spectacular sunsets every night over dinner was truly a dream come true. Virginia and Debbie live very close and were always available and responsive any time we needed anything. The house is gorgeous, very open and seeing the view every morning was really special. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking...all available with the house. The area is near a ton of farms, wineries and more. LA plage restaurant is right across the street which is fantastic.

Beach house bliss

We had a wonderful family stay! The house was clean, modern, beachy, and truly right on the sand! Wading River is so lovely and this house is steps from the sound, directly next to town beach access. The playground at the town beach was a huge bonus traveling with a small child and the lifeguard was great too. The north shore is pebbly (water shoes recommended) but there are no cliffs or hills to climb -- simply walk off the deck and into the sand! There is a wonderful restaurant across the street (La Plage) that is not to be missed. We ate there one day and then the next day coordinated with the owner to deliver a family-style meal to the house. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed linens were good quality, beds were comfortable, decor was tasteful. There was plenty of seating on the decks including a dining table, loungers, couches and chairs. The view is killer. There was a paddle board, 2 kayaks, a few life jackets, beach towels, beach chairs, and an outdoor shower. One of the bedrooms has an alcove with an additional bed which worked perfect for us with our kid. We didn't utilize, but downstairs there was a game table and some workout equipment. The ladies who run this property were helpful. I was able to ask lots of questions before booking and they helped with recommendations in the area. They checked on us shortly after we arrived to make sure all was well and see if we needed anything else. We did have a snafu at checkout -- an apparent miscommunication about checkout time led to us racing around to get out of the house the last morning, which was not the way I wanted to end a relaxing week, but it certainly wasn't the end of the world. I'd definitely rent this house and from this management company again. TAKE NOTE: I believe the owners are still making changes to the house so I would recommend confirming the bedroom set-up with the property manager -- it was different when we arrived than what we were expecting, but it actually worked out better for us. Also, the wifi works well but we had zero cell service with Verizon - total dead spot.

Fabulous Off Season Rental

Perfect for a Family Getaway

The Mermaid Inn was the perfect spot for a family vacation. I have stayed in multiple homes Luxury Beachfront manages and I am never disappointed. Great home, amazing view, cleanly and cozy!!!
