The house was big enough. However we we never had hot water in the kitchen! The water heater kept going out so everyone had cold to luke warm showers! The fire pit was great and the screened porch we enjoyed. We liked all the trails and rented a golf cart. The kids really enjoyed that. Walked down to the small lake and nothing was maintained! Weeds everywhere and a half way submerged pontoon was at the end of the dock. So not very pleasant to sit down there and we never did. The owner came over several times with the water problems but it never got better.

Annual family lake get-away
We stayed for a week in July 2023. It was our first (and last) time at this property. Unfortunately, the lake was a total disappointment. It is quite a distance from the house. The lake was low and mucky and there is a sunken pontoon right at the end of the dock. We were not able to enjoy the lake in any way. The house is roomy and has a wonderful wrap-a-round porch, but the housekeeping was unacceptable. We cleaned for appx an hour before settling in. The entire house needs a deep clean, (especially the kitchen), and better cleaning in between guests. We reported the poor housekeeping to the caretakers and also sent a photo, so I sincerely hope this situation has improved. It was a very unpleasant way to begin our vacation.

misrepresented and falsely advertised
Advertised and email stating pan fishing from dock. Use of pontoon that was flooded and sank. Kayaks, row boat and canoe full of dirty water. Swamp water as far as you could see about 1 ft deep. No water activities because no water. That's why we were excited to rent this place, Activities for everyone. No hot water in the kitchen the entire stay. Only 3 people could shower before hot water was out and 2 in the evening so many of us couldn't even shower during the stay. Propane grill was so dirty. Would have taken hours to clean and had a broken leg propped up by scrap things. Couldn't get it out of the garage to use. Had to cook in kitchen. Pet hair inside and out. Can't tell you how disappointed my entire family was. This place is falsely advertised and misrepresented. I feel a substantial refund is due.

Very beautiful
We had a great stay. Unfortunately mother nature was not kind prior to our visit. The waters were too low for fishing and the pontoon was not available 😕 (it had sank). The golf cart was a must. Trails were awesome. Mosquitos were not terrible (although we did spray the area).

Beautiful place july 2023
It was amazing the wrap around porch was nice. The inside of the house was beautiful. The beds were very conformable so much room. The fire pit was nice but only used it once due to the mosquitoes were awful. The trails were nice we rented two golf carts which they were fun. The kids enjoyed riding them on the trails. They even had a bird chase them they thought that was funny. Im not sure what kind of bird. The hot tub was used everyday they really liked it. I wish i could of used it but its not handicapped equipped. The one thing was a bummer was they weren't handicapped equipped for a ramp to go in the house. I use a walker and stairs are a little hard for me. I loved the master room was on the main floor. I didnt go down or upstairs due to i cant do stairs. Loved the central air it was nice. Its a bummer they dont have a pool they should put one in. The water was dried up so we couldn't use the boats but it was ok because it was awful to be out with all the mosquitoes. I would go there again its so peaceful.

Great Trip Overall!!
The place was very clean and had all the amenities possible!! The screened in porch was awesome, we even brought our bag boards in there to play at night when it was raining. The fire pit was a little disappointing because the mosquitos were super bad, so we didn’t utilize it as much as we had liked, but they did have bug spray which really helped. We went to go use the kayaks at the dock and 3 of us ended up getting stung by bees which was a bummer:( but the kayaks were really nice! We wanted to use the canoe or the pontoon boat and they were both sunk so that was sad:( The owners did end up contacting us about our stay and they came there right away to solve the bee problem! One of the tvs wasn’t working properly right away and the owner was more than happy to help fix it and got back to me right away! Overall really enjoyable and great for a family!

A mistake
AC didn’t work, lakes were almost impossible to get to, insects so thick it wasn’t safe to be outside, we left a day early to find a better fishing spot. Will not rent there again. I should get a refund

Comfort in the Wilderness
The house felt remote, yet it was easy to get to. The caretakers, Kathy and Mike, were exceptional, going out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The house was very comfortable for our 3-generation, 3-household family staying there and all were interested in a return visit. I want to explore the trails some more, doing some "forest bathing," for all the soothing happiness it provides! We were fascinated by how the pontoon boat got into the lake, and sat there over winter in the water where an apparent spring exists.Things I wish I'd known or thought of to bring: outlet covers for the safety of the youngest members of our group; small mixing bowls; extra dishrag; upstairs bedroom, though very comfortable, does not have easy access to a bathroom.

Excellent property
The pictures did not do this house or property justice, especially the wrap around porch. We greatly enjoyed the house and all of it's wonderful amenities. The house slept 13 people comfortably and had room for us to spread out. The hot tub was a nice place for us to relax after a few days of golfing (Turtleback and TeeAway). We used the front space to play yard games and even had some people go out and enjoy the trails. I'd recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a nice, secluded weekend away in Wisconsin.

The Heart of Fall
This property was wonderful! I have searched for years for a secluded spot, and although this is closer to the road than I would have hoped, the views and private trails more than compensated for that. Animals were abundant and the screened in porch quickly became our family's favorite hangout. It was too cold for us to try out all of the amenities the owner offered, which is just one more reason we hope to return again soon.

Wonderful Place!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is large, clean, and fully equipped. The trails in the woods are fun to explore by the available golf carts, the screened wrap-around porch is awesome, and the hot tub is a huge plus! There is plenty to do at this property, and we already have our next trip booked with this property owner. We would highly recommend a stay at this location. It was a great experience for our family.

Decent place
My family and I stayed for a weekend. The cabin was very spacious and we had plenty of space for everyone. It had a large outdoor hot tub that fit about 6 adults. We enjoyed the hot tub very much. In addition, the campfire was awesome as well. Communication was lacking with the owner at the beginning but it got better towards the reservation date . The cabin was hard to locate off the highway due to the small house number on the mailbox. I think it needs a bigger sign or something. A lot of renters can easily pass it off the highway. The lake is really a swamp and you have to hike about a quarter mile into the woods to get to the lake. Since it it’s more of a swamp, there’s a lot of bugs and mosquitos . We didn’t do anything on the lake even though there was free kayaks and canoe to use. It was a bit disappointing. There was a pontoon to use but it appeared to be very old and falling apart. We also did not want to pay extra to use it. The website pictures of the lake was a bit deceiving. If you come here in the summer, be ready to fight off bugs, mosquitoes and ticks. Overall, the stay was okay but don’t think I’ll come back here.

Great getaway for a large group
My family really enjoyed this property! There were 8 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house was clean and well stocked. The wrap around porch was a highlight. Outside there is lots of yard space for games and I'd highly recommend renting the golf cart to explore the trails. There is another rental on the other side of the 600 acre property that looked gorgeous. Only downfall was the water area. We expected swampy water based on the description and pictures but it was worse than we thought. We would have had to walk into mud to get into a kayak so we opted not to. Otherwise everything was great and we would stay again!

Great house and location
I recently rented this house and six family members stayed there for three nights. The inside of the house was very clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The beds were quite comfortable, though the den (bedroom 4) could use a curtain across the doors to increase privacy. The kitchen is great....lots of equipment, cutlery, dishes and pots/pans. Overall we had a great stay but the outside of the house needs some TLC....The yard and flower beds need to be weeded and trimming around the entire house/driveway/sidewalk is needed. The porch was very dusty, cushions need to be washed and cob webs need to be removed. The communication from the homeowner and property manager did not start well, but improved during the visit. We would recommend this house for anyone that enjoys the woods and quiet.

Lovely Time in the Winter Woods
If you are looking for time away in a remote location, this is your place! The house was large enough for our 8 adults to enjoy indoor activities playing family games, TV/movies, conversing, hot tubbing and playing foosball. The Gold Star of the place is the 600 acres of property! We snow-shoe and hiked to our hearts content every day of our stay and we regret not bringing our x-country skis for their trails. In the warmer months, I would love to explore the stream and lake associated with the property as well. The house photos/furniture is accurate and the rooms actually felt larger than I expected. I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness as I am pretty picky about dust, etc. Given this is a home not lived in 24/7, and it is winter in WI, the dust was minimal. One item I missed when looking for a place is that this house has no electric dishwasher; so plan time in your day for hand washing dishes. A bonus is that there is a second refrigerator in the garage for food/beverage storage. We really enjoyed our time and hope to visit again.

Wonderful chilly weekend
We stayed here in Feb 2021 with 2 other couples and 2 dogs. The accommodations were great and we each had a bedroom and bathroom with privacy. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to cook in.The rec areas had room for puzzles, card playing and we enjoyed the 6 person hot tub. Everything was clean and nicely furnished. I would have loved to explore the trails more but it was -15 most of the time, but I did get out for some star watching.
