We spent a week here and couldn’t have picked a better base-camp for our visit to the Peloponnese. The lot is quite large, very secluded, and beautifully landscaped. There’s a garden behind the house loaded with vegetables. Several fruit trees are incorporated into the lush landscaping as it leads down to a tranquil beachfront with a magnificent view of the adjacent peninsula. We enjoyed the nearby beaches, villages, and castles. The people everywhere were friendly and hospitable. The scenery was breathtaking.
The owners are the kindest, most welcoming people we’ve ever met (not exaggerating) and insisted that we indulge in the tomatoes, cucumbers, persimmons, and oranges (best we’ve ever tasted). The house and grounds are VERY clean and well-maintained. Everything you could possibly need is well-stocked including toiletries, paper products, detergent, extra bedding, towels, and even Niki's home-made jams, biscotti, pastries, olives, and olive oil, PLUS fresh eggs from their chickens. We were celebrating my 60th and were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a birthday card...so thoughtful!
The house is exceptionally comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed the multiple patio areas and outdoor shower. Niki and Vasilis are the warmest, most generous people you could ever hope to meet. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. When we called upon them for assistance with an unfortunate medical problem my husband was having they went out of their way to find us a doctor in Kalamata and even made arrangements for us to speak with him on a Sunday evening. We’ve used VRBO for vacations all over the world; this by far has been the most memorable experience we’ve ever had. We'll never forget how wonderful these owners and their neighbors were in helping us through a difficult situation. They were truly amazing!
