Lakefront Classic Craftsman, 1 hour from NYC

Note: We have added an AC mini-split system to the first floor to help with summer heat! upstairs bedrooms all have window units.
also Note: There is a one week minimum for July and August, our weeks run Friday to Friday.
Our 5-bedroom home offers lake life at its best. Swim from the private dock or bring your boat. And with one of the largest lawns on the lake there’s a volleyball net, room for sports (we have a shed full of accessories) a firepit, and an expansive deck with a gas grill for outdoor dining. Nestled within a quiet private community, kids can ride bikes around the neighborhood and enjoy a small town USA feel. Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park (the town beach) is a 5-minute walk away. Some nearby attractions include Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, wineries, Warwick Drive-In movie theater, farmer's markets, Mountain Creek waterpark, skiing at Mt. Great Location!
House was great! - well equipped and no issues. The location of the house was ideal for us - being able to do daily walks into town and to the town beach were a big plus. Was great to swim off the dock and kayak in the quieter cove area right off the yard. We also enjoyed the Sat night concert at the beach and hiking in nearby Sterling Forest.

Fantastic Home
We really enjoyed our stay this beautiful home! The dock was my favorite place to sit and read.... and kayak and swim.... My kids loved the game room and all of the outdoor activities that are available. In the evenings we dined on the large back deck - and highly recommend The Helm for a casual/delicious meal. 10 out of 10 for us! Thank you!

As previous owners of this home, it was a wonderful week with family and our old neighborhood friends. Everything Greenwood Lake offers, we did. Boating, padel boarding, swimming and dining out. Grandkids had a great time in the gameroom and large yard, while the adults enjoyed the large deck and view of the lake. It's a special place that remains in my heart.

Huge yard that our dogs loved. We have small dogs so there were a couple of spots in the fence we had to block, which wasn’t a problem. House was in a great location. No issues at all

Long weekend supporting an AT thru-hiker
House was perfect for some slack pack day hikes from High Point Park in NJ to Lake Tiorati in NY! Evenings were comfortable with a lovely view off the deck of the expansive yard and Greenwood Lake. Having a working grill was greatly appreciated! Our family (including the dog) enjoyed our stay! Very comfortable all around! Thank you for sharing your home at Greenwood Lake!

Great Reunion Venue
Lisa and Mark's home was an ideal venue for 8 childhood friends to reunite. Bedrooms are comfortable, kitchen is complete, dining table easily expands, outdoor firepit and lake deck are inviting, and game room is entertaining. There are hiking trails nearby, and the stores and restaurants are conveniently located.

Amazing yard for kids of all ages
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property on Greenwood Lake. Our party included my daughter and her husband with a toddler and infant. The house accommodated all of us comfortably. Terrific kitchen and large dining area both inside and out. The best part of our visit was the magnificent backyard! It had it all. Plenty of grass to run around, a tree house, hammock, badminton, fire pit, fencing for a toddler and a dog, beautiful lake view and the list goes on. A massive deck fit us well and the boat dock with kayak was wonderful. A sandy beach and playground was a short walk away. We had a problem with the refrigerator and our host resolved the issue immediately. There was a great outbuilding set up so my son-in-law could work from home in peace. The garage was a great additional play space with a large screen TV, pacman game, and ping pong for those rainy days. Hope to come back again.

The vibiest vibe!
Perfect for making our family feel at home. Huge lawn, 'pool' house and outdoor work from home space (which would also make a great yoga studio!). At least 50 feet of Lakefront, which faces an inlet, but the nearby beach (less than 10 minute walk) has views of the entire lake and offers a gorgeous sunset every night! Located on a very quiet street it's an easy walk to the main street and less than 15 minute drive to downtown Warwick. The house does not have central air, but even during the great heat wave of '22 it was not a big deal to us. If you're looking for a spacious, unique stay with tons of amenities this is the house for you.

The home was very clean and welcoming but also a bit dark in some rooms. It is an older home with uneven floors and some exterior doors were difficult to close. The updated baths and kitchen were lovely. The yard was large but muddy in the back due to recent work on the property. The neighborhood is beautiful with tree lined streets and friendly neighbors. The view of the lake is a bit disappointing as it is on a very narrow portion and the adjacent road/cars can be seen.

Lovely home. So charming and cozy. Not your cookie cutter stark rental. A wonderful family home
Having rented this home based on one photo, it was far more than ever anticipated. It turned out to be the most peaceful sanctuary after my father’s sudden passing. Sitting quietly by the lake, watching the Trumpeter Swans glide by while wrapped in woolen blankets was a perfect way to recharge. The house is filled with so much beguiling art, a lovely sunroom and endless character. A perfect spot to settle in for some R&R.

Great Labor Day Weekend Stay
My family and I loved this property and I can't wait to book it again! Spacious house with a cool decked out garage with games and lake toys. Private dock is a plus too if renting a boat from the local marina. Don't hesitate to book!

Spring on Greenwood Lake
We were looking for a higher end house rental where our grand children (2) and our dog would be welcomed. 10 Woodbine Ave proved to be perfect. This is a warm and elegant older lake home with a large fenced yard ideal for a toddler and a Labrador to romp about. Its open first floor plan and large deck make it perfect for entertaining as well. This is a true home complete with all the accoutrements of ones own home. We felt honored to have its use. However, like many older homes, with all that charm comes squeaky floors, temperamental doors and need for one additional second floor bathroom. The April weather dampened our enjoyment of this wonderful property.

This is our second stay at this lovely house on the lake. The property has everything you might need. We packed enough food for the week and didn’t leave the neighborhood for our whole stay—a wonderful change of scenery for our quarantine summer. Lake Life at its finest
Ken and Melissa had every amenity we could have hoped for, making us feel both safe and welcome. The lake front access allowed us to pop in and out of the water with ease, which was important for me and my growing 6mos belly. We ate every meal on the deck and enjoyed our coffee and cocktails on the dock. In all the craziness of 2020, Ken and Melissa gave us peace of mind so we could enjoy a little slice of summer.

Wonderful Weekend On Greenwood Lake
It was our second year staying here and this stay was just as wonderful as the first time. Ken and Melissa’s home is beautiful, right on the lake, and has every amenity we needed to feel comfortable. The town is so friendly and welcoming. The Helm and Greenwood Lake Roasters were highlights for us again. Looking forward to returning again next year!

Great place to vacation with the family
I like to rent a house and take a little hiking/kayaking trip in September and I thought Greenwood lake would have everything I wanted (I had never been there). The ad for the "Craftsman's Lake house" looked great and Melissa, the owner, was very responsive to all of my questions. The house looked just like the ad. It was clean, large and right on the lake with an excellent floating dock. It was also located in a good spot for getting to trails at Sterling Forest and for going to town. My children came on Friday for the weekend and we hiked and kayaked and just enjoyed the property. We made a great breakfast, had fun all day and we went out for dinner. My children loved the house and so did I. I don't think I could have asked for anything more, I just hope I can go back.

Beautiful lakeside retreat
This was a perfect house to rent for a week away with our extended family. The house is full of character, with fun vintage MCM pieces throughout, plenty of room, and stocked with everything you might need. The property is ideally situated, with a huge yard, and everyone loved playing badminton and cornhole, and floating off the dock every day. We had a wonderful week and we would definitely like to return! Thanks for sharing your lovely house with us!
