Villa Caprice is located at the gated Caprice Community within Nassau, Bahamas. The first sight upon entering this villa's is the breathtaking view across the pool into the ocean. The living room of this fabulous private home is designed to have a magnificent view of the ocean. Each bedroom is equipped with a full bath, spacious closets. The Master and 2nd Bedroom has French doors which open to the sea.
The spacious kitchen and laundry room contain all new appliances and cookware. The pool terrace is the perfect perch to sunbathe over the private beautiful private beach , or simply to enjoy a cocktail and watch the spectacular sunsets. Just walk the view steps down behind the pool deck and enjoy the private beach. The home comes with Cable - Online - Netflix TV, high speed wireless internet access. All linens and beach towels are provided. Villa Newport at the caprice community is located within 10 minutes of the Nassau airport in the Cable Beach area of the island. Cable Beach has one of the island's largest casinos, and golf course. Numerous restaurants and a gourmet market are all within 5 minutes of the property as well. The Sandy Port shopping Center with Restaurants , Grocery / Liquor store , Fitness Center, Marina, Petrol Station and much more is just across the street. The property can´t be more central.

Not as great as it looks :(
We stayed at Caprice 14 April 2-9, 2023. There are lots of positives and negatives about this house. First, the views here are gorgeous! The house is right on the beach, with beach access. However, there is not a private access to the beach. You have to walk out the front of the house and around another villa to get to the access point, which is shared between all villas. We felt like this wasn’t described properly in the listing. Alicia was our host and she allowed family members who arrived early to hang out at the pool or beach until the cleaning crew was done. The house was clean upon arrival, however there were a plethora of things wrong with the house. The electrical system was awful and there were many exposed wires. One day it rained in the morning and water leaked down through the staircase. The alarm system was not working and Alicia sent someone out the next day to fix it. There are also cameras inside the house in various spots. The pool was not cleaned and the pump was not running. We turned the pump on, but it wasn’t until day 3 that people came to vacuum it. This was very disappointing to us since we had 6 kids who wanted to use the pool. The kitchen, living room, master suite, and pool deck were all very nice! The rest of the house needed some major updates. This house is bare bones! There is not a whole lot that is provided. There was no iron in the house, and when I told Alicia that I needed one by Wednesday because I needed to iron clothes for our wedding, she gave me a hard time and said there must be one in the closets somewhere. Tuesday night I basically begged her to bring one over because it was our WEDDING DAY, and the next morning she dropped one off. So yes, we had to iron our clothes the morning of the wedding. You will need to buy additional toilet paper and paper towels. There were NO cleaning supplies, dish rags, or trash bags, so we bought some and used the bathroom hand towels as kitchen towels. Some of the bathroom towels had holes in them. There were no cooking supplies, not even salt and pepper. There were plenty of dishes and utensils. The location was nice, right on Cable Beach, and you can walk to Sandyport where there are lots of fun restaurants and shops. But it is about a half hour drive to downtown Nassau and 40 minutes to Paradise Island. Overall, we had a great time of course and had a beautiful wedding! We were disappointed in the house and will not stay here again 🙁.

A little disappointed but fun with friends and family
This was a group friends trip and our group decided on several property must haves. Unfortunately, the property advertised heated pool and cable which was false. Also we had 8 people staying in the house and the kitchen was not stocked for that many people. The property overall needed some maintenance, broken chairs, mildew. Our group of friends has a good time where ever we go, but what we paid for the property it was a bit disappointing.

Perfect. Location. Views.
The house was perfect. The check in and communication was excellent and easy. The views and beach access (walk out of the front door around the back. Maybe 100ft) was ideal. Sandy Port shopping was near by- Spritz had the best pasta and Chibbys (gas station) had great snacks and cannolis at cheaper prices. Blue Sail restaurant had the best salmon, and within walking distance! We got shuttle services with Smiley and Let’s go Bahamas. We also used Bahamas eats (app) for food delivery. There are taxis everywhere you go. So, don’t worry about round trip fare. (Especially because there isn’t wifi/phone service in most areas). The Dilly Dally walking tour was so much fun (for the adults). We ate at senor frogs downtown and did a little shopping. I would recommend taking cash. A lot of places charge using a card and everyone “works for a tip”. We all had a great time. I highly recommend this house, hoping we can make it back again!

I will start by saying we had a good vacation at this location but there are a few things I will call out for other travelers. Our property manager was not available when we arrived but we were able to get early entry into the property which was a huge plus because we were traveling with a couple of teenagers. We met up with our property manager the next day and she helped fill in a couple of blanks and answer a couple of questions. She did always respond to our text inquiries but sometimes it took several hours. This property inside and out has several cameras, just FYI. The pool is very nice but when we arrived it was very dirty, cleaning crew came the day after we checked in and made it beautiful. Much of the external property could use a good power wash. Patio furniture was in good to OK shape with a couple of wooden patio lounges falling apart and a broken patio umbrella which we were told would be replaced but never was. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were just fine, no complaints. Master bedroom is great! Big, two decks, seating and lots of closet space . One bedroom did have a bee infestation problem but we did not need it so we kept it blocked off all week. Someone had been in before us and sprayed and there were probably 50 dead bees in the upstairs bathroom. This property owner provides minimum toiletries, soap, shampoo, TP, etc. and basically zero detergents for laundry and or dishes. Access to a small but fantastic beach was very easy, and the water was magnificent. There is a grocery store, liquor store, pizza place, Wendy’s all within a five minute walk. This place was no doubt once gorgeous but has slipped and could use a thorough sprucing up to bring it back. 4 Stars and now you know what we experienced.

This home has a private swimmable "little" beach just a few steps from the front door. Our hostess, Alicia was amazing & very attentive to our needs, make sure you book all of your excursions with HER ( Alicia). James was our go to driver for getting around town. Will definitely be coming back. TIP: Most people on the island work Soley on the tips you give them ie. grocery store bagging employee

Great Stay!
Spent a full week at this property with extended family. Within walking distance to many amenities, including grocery, liquor and a variety of restaurants. Having own pool and close beach access was amazing! Loved the views and being able to just relax. Our host, Alicia, was very responsive to an issue with a leaking AC unit. Maintenance came and promptly resolved the issue. Would definitely stay again if traveling back to Nassau.

Although the waters and the pool were beautiful we had several issues. There was a mouse in the house and got into our food in the bottom drawer in the kitchen. We did go out and bought a mouse trap and did catch it. The microwave/oven (Oven) was not working properly. So when we notified the managers someone did came out and looked at it, they were in and out within a minute. The next morning I did text the manager several times and ask if somebody was going to fix the oven part which was not working she replied, someone would be out, they never showed. It wouldn’t of been a problem but like I told her I had bought many items that required an oven. It was Never fixed. Another issue where there were so many not ants, I’m not quite sure what they were but they were crawling out of the bathroom sinks and in the shower downstairs. Another issue what is the outside umbrella by the pool area was broken, they were supposed to bring out a new one, that never happened Cushions outside were torn open and the outside sliding doors are very difficult to open. This house needs a lot of updates, could be a really nice place.

Private beach paradise
Other than the extremely stressful and strict Covid travel restrictions put in place by the Bahama government our vacation was wonderful in this Villa. The communication with the managing staff was excellent. They were friendly and quick to respond to questions and help set up arrangements, anything we needed. Nothing compares to the view and access you have to your own private beach! It was truly spectacular. We walked to Blue Sail for lunch and dinner a lot. Sandyport shopping with grocery and liquor stores are right across the street. We rented a car and enjoyed many dinners out at various restaurants. Although they still do not allow indoor dining so that was tough with the cool windy nights. I would say our best dinner was at Kyma (even sitting outside in the parking lot). They fixed up the tent well. The service was excellent and the food the best we had on the island. Our worst dinner experience always at Carna. Very very expensive. But the Hyatt hotel where it’s located is gorgeous. Our dinner for 6 came to $800! And it was underwhelming, mediocre at best. Blue Sail actually was best value, gorgeous view right on beach and good food. We frequented it often. The villa had security and a gate to get in and out. We felt safe walking around the area and driving around but did not go into Nassau in the evening as we were warned it wasn’t safe after dark. Our only recommendations would be some air fresheners for the home as it always smelled musty and the cooking pots and pans could definitely use replacing. All the frying pans were warped and very old. The washer And dryer are also in bad shape. We couldn’t use Washer as it was rusted and lid wouldn’t close. All in all we had a wonderful time and I would rent through this agency again!

Beautiful, relaxing place to vacation!
We had a wonderful vacation! The view was amazing and being right at the water was just perfect!! We had great meals at both Spritz and Twisted Lime, both within walking distance of our home. It was a quick walk to the grocery store for the basics. The bus transportation was easy to use and a great, inexpensive way to get to downtown. We were able to rent kayaks and Michelle, Hermann and Bianca arranged to have them delivered right from our home so we could kayaks right out back on the beach. A great place to stay....I would definitely recommend it to anyone planning to go to the Nassau, Bahamas! Thank you Michelle, Hermann and Bianca!!

The home is very nice, but it doesn't make up for the fact that the home was broken into and we were robbed while on vacation. The home owner allows an non functioning lock on a door that leads from the outside directly into the back patio area. The home owner even sent someone to check on us and they obviously knew about this passage, because out of nowhere we have a woman standing in the back patio with not even a single knock on the front door. The alarm continually was tripped and useless. Even worse, in the middle of the night the alarm went off with no way of stopping it, and the home owner replied once with some advice, then nothing until the next morning. Save yourself the headache and look at another location.

You cannot help but relax as soon as you walk through the door. House owner was very welcoming and gave us the scoop on how to get the best out of our weekend. This awesome location gives you access to food, beaches, and it’s right on the main bus route. We would definitely recommend a stay here when in Nassau!

Great Getaway Location
Exceptional location overlooking ocean in secured, gated community. Walking distance to grocery and liquor stores and restaurants. Large home with large master suite, private pool, private and clean beach, and plenty of room to socialize or to find privacy. Friendly, accommodating, and available owner who went out of her way to assure we were settled in and who helped with transportation to and from airport and around town. Property is a bit "tired" and in need of minor repairs inside and out that would make this home a deluxe retreat. Overall, we had a great time and took advantage of what the property offered.

Great place to stay
The house and view were amazing and the pictures do not do this place enough justice. We were amazed by the size of the bedrooms. Bus service was easy to use. I highly recommend Capriccio Italian Restaurant about 1.5 miles down the road as well as Fish Central for delicious sea food. The only small inconvenience we had was the previous guests checking out on the day we were checking in. Their luggage was still at our place until 5 pm at which they came back and got it and then hung around to stay in the AC for a few minutes. Other than that we had a fantastic time. We did not want to leave! My stepdaughter turned into a mermaid and we had a hard time getting her out of the pool .... We would stay again !!

Great Time
My family and I recently stayed at this property for our family vacation. Michelle was very resourceful and assisted us in everything we needed. The space was enough for all of us and we were able to all hang out in each area of the house. One downfall (which Michelle did warn us of) was the loss of power on the island at least once a day. It was sporadic so you couldn’t plan accordingly. The pool was great to come home and have a refreshing swim as well as the small beach at the back of the house. Buses number 10 and 12 were super convenient and we were in the perfect location to do everything we had planned. Dinner at the Twisted Lime and Blue Sail was good. Overall we enjoyed our vacation and are looking forward to another one!

Wonderful Time
My family and I had a wonderful trip. The property was great, very clean, enough space for the 6 of us, exceptional views and sunsets. Michelle was great and was very understanding of the trouble we had on our flight in. We were able to catch the bus right outside the house and see a lot of the island. The Wendy's across the street became our stop late night for Frosty's. I really enjoyed the deck and eating outside each night and using the grill was easy. Would only ask that the cleaning team use more bleach to ensure that all the white sparkles. Alan D

Spectacular Patio!
A beautiful view of the ocean with a spectacular view! The listing was very accurate as to the look of both the outdoor and indoor space. A nice, large house. We were a group of 5 women and the size of the house was perfect. Each of us had our own bed, all of which were comfortable. Having three bathrooms and a powder room made was really great. The kitchen was serviceable. We did not cook but did have a chef prepare dinner one evening and he was able to find all he needed to make and serve the meal. The house was clean and ready for us on arrival. Michelle and Hermann were available when we called. The power went out for one evening, Michelle was called and she assured us it would come back in an hour, which it did. There were no flashlights or candles but we brought that to their attention. The AC in the living room went out and they came within an hour to take a look. Really great people and very accommodating. The locations was very good - could walk to at least 3 restaurants. Grocery store, liquor store and a Wendy's just across the street. Good location for taking the bus. Had a good meals at the Poop Deck and Frankie Goes Bananas (at the Fish Fry). Definitely worth a trip to the big hotel/casino, Baha Mar. It's gorgeous! All in all we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this property to friends and family.

comfortable functional home. walk to several restaurants, grocery and liquor store, There is a very nice covered patio area out of the sun or rain,,,,furniture is good...lots of patio.deck chairs and cushions, easy access to bus line for $1.25 rides into downtown, overall a good experience,,,,,the hostess and owner are very accommodating,,,,,take note of several key items but do not let any of them stop you from booking.,,,,,there is no oven....a convection microwave works ok but its a bit small and if you have never used one a bit odd. there is a grill onsite but its a bit rickety and the temp is hard to control. it works but be careful,,,,,the pool is not heated..,,,i understand that heated pools are not common so no big deal but is was ICE cold during our stay in early February, the ocean was swimmable and the little beach was ok when it wasn't rough, take note that you cannot access the beach directly...it a short walk around outside the house,,,,,and its a quick $1.25 bus tomCable Beach which is lovely. take some water.... dont let my little negative comments affect your decision,,,.i am picky..,..and an honest reporter,,,,,its a very nice place in a great location,,.,and the sound of the waves at night lulls you to peaceful slumber,,,,,we would all go again,,,,,I'm not sure you could do better for the price,,,,,,, thanks Michelle and Hermann,,,,,

We enjoyed our vacation in paradise. This property is close to all amenities, grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy and many restaurants. The grocery store is a 5 - 10 minute walk away. The transit bus system is the way to travel in the Bahamas. Each bus driver goes out of their way to accommodate you and make sure you get to where you need to be. You don't even have to stand at a bus stop - just hold your hand up and they will stop wherever you are. In terms of the house, it has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The view is fabulous. If you are hoping to swim in the pool, it is extremely clean, but very cold, in our Canadian opinion! We felt the house was a bit "tired" in some areas; couch is ready for a new one and the decking around the pool is in need of some repairs. Michelle and Hermann went out of their way to accommodate us with whatever we asked. They were fabulous hosts. If we are fortunate to be able to travel to the Bahamas again, we would stay here again.
