WOODED WONDER HOUSE RULES
Please take a moment to learn about Wooded Wonder and the amenities we provide for your enjoyment, including the unique protection we offer for your stay! You must follow your booking platform’s ground rules for guests and our house rules below, several of these come from the Village of Sister Bay and keep our license in good standing. By booking, you agree to our house rules below:
PARKING
Sister Bay allows a maximum of 4 cars (no boats or trailers) on the property and 2 cars must be garage parked. No street parking, but there is a public parking lot, including for boat trailers, just across the street. For long term parking, call the Marina at 920-854-4457 for helpful options.
NEIGHBORHOOD
Our home is in a residential neighborhood and we host up to 10 guests. Please respect the neighbors as if you lived here. No events or loud gatherings. Quiet hours are 10PM to 10AM.
PETS
We welcome your pets! Pets must potty in the designated area next to the parking pad and please bring bags to clean up after them. No pets in beds or on the furniture. Also, please follow Sister Bay’s pet rules (such as pets on leash, no pets on beach).
OUTDOORS
We hope you enjoy the hot tub, outdoor fire table and the Weber gas grill! We require that all use follows posted rules regarding fire safety, including adult supervision and turning these fully off and closing their lid and cover after use. Indoors or outdoors, please no smoking, candles, fireworks, burning or firearms. Children must be supervised indoors and outdoors.
BEACH GEAR
We want you to be beach ready! We provide paddle boards, paddles, life jackets, beach chairs, towels, swim noodles and car racks. We require that all use is adult supervised and follows posted safety rules, such as no use by non-swimmers and checking the gear for safety, damage or fit prior to use.
OTHER
We are parents ourselves and we supply you with things like a crib and baby gates, but you must follow manufacturer safety instructions and supervise your children, including their access to the loft, water equipment, proximity to fire pits or grill, exploration outside or the property trail.
CLEANING FEE
We understand you may have questions about our cleaning fee, as it is slightly higher than others, so let us shed some light on its purpose. It's not just a number; it reflects our commitment to immaculate cleanliness and fair treatment of our cleaning team.
Rest assured, the cleaning fee isn't for profit. It directly supports fair compensation for our cleaners and includes a unique damage coverage policy, providing added protection for both you and our property.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change unexpectedly, which is why we have a flexible cancellation policy that puts your mind at ease. If you decide to cancel your booking more than 14 days before your scheduled arrival date, you will receive a 97% refund of the total booking amount. The remaining 3% will be retained as a non-refundable transaction fee to cover the costs associated with processing your booking. However, if you cancel your booking within 14 days of your scheduled arrival date, we regret that we will not be able to offer any refund. Nevertheless, we will do our best to accommodate any change requests that you may have, subject to availability and applicable fees. Note that violating house rules that relate to safety, ongoing property damage or that could affect our license with the Village of Sister Bay may result in immediate cancellation of your stay.
WAIVERS
While you're on vacation, rest easy knowing that you are protected under Safely if property damage occurs. We take care of the cost of this coverage, which is additional to any protection provided by the platform. If any damage happens, please let us know and we will make a claim with Safely. You can trust us to take care of everything for you, provided that you clean up after your pets.
The damage waiver fee, which is included in the total cost of your reservation for this property, covers up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances. To qualify for coverage, you must report any incidents to us before checking out.
Please note that this waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items beyond Safely's scope of responsibility. Aside from the property protection provided by Safely, you assume risk and waive any claims relating to your use of our property or its amenities, for yourself and any guests that you invite. Unless venue is waived by us, disputes are subject to confidential arbitration in Door County, Wisconsin.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin and enjoy traveling. I've been to over a dozen countries and have been all over the US while I was in the Air Force. I'm married and we have two boys. We all enjoy being in nature, but spend most of our free time with Scouts and baseball.
