About this property

Winter Park Fraser "Hideout"-Panoramic views, hot tub & short walk to town & bus

Welcome to the 'Winter Park-Fraser Hideout'!

Spectacular views of Byers Peak/St. Louis Valley engulf the spacious great room and large sunset deck of this sundrenched 2 Bedroom/1 Bath condo at Winter Park Lodge II in Fraser- very close to downtown Fraser and a short distance to downtown Winter Park & the ski resort. Wide-open panoramic views highlight this stylish, contemporary condo that's fully renovated with updated bathroom, amenities, new beds/mattresses, appliances & modern furniture. Just a short walk to downtown Fraser restaurants/breweries, your mountain adventure awaits!

The spacious great room/new kitchen and bedrooms offer plenty of room for six persons to relax and enjoy the scenic views from the panoramic window and large outdoor deck. (Please note: Unit radiator heating causes tepid knocking effects during warm-up when outdoor temperatures are cold, please see more information below.)

Spring & Summer months in the Fraser Valley, and Winter Park area, offer a full range of mountain adventures and summer fun!

Mountain Biking is renowned in the area and is one of the most beloved and connected trail systems in Colorado. (Many rides can be planned to begin/end at the condo - a rider's delight!)

Fly-fishing directly in front of the condo on the Fraser River, and in many locations down-river, offers excellent fishing spots. Plus, Fraser's outfitting stores have all the licenses and supplies needed.

Scenic hikes for all levels and views are abundant, with many enjoyable hikes and trailheads just minutes from the condo.

We love the 'Hideout's' central location adjacent to The Fraser River and Trail, and all of the many mountain adventures that await close by. (The address is: Winter Park Lodge II; 329 Grand County Road #804, Unit G-102, Fraser, CO 80442.)

The 'Hideout' is fully renovated with new furniture, beds and mattresses. Not only will guests enjoy the mountain scenery, they will also luxuriate in contemporary furniture and mattresses that provide comfort during the day and deliver a great night's sleep.

In spring and summer months, opening windows and doors brings a cool mountain cross-breeze into the unit. Electric fans also provide cooling.

At night, the unit retains the day's heat well and the heating system is turned off. This allows for the interior temp. to be stable in spring, summer and early fall months with the unit heat setting being off.

Radiator floor heating operations:
In winter months, or when the heating system is on during cold temperatures, the building's central heating system can emit pipe expansion sounds during heat-up and cool-down phases.
> If needed in warmer months, setting the thermostat at 68-70 helps stabilize the system.
> The unit is well insulated and retains heat very effectively. Turning the heat/thermostat off also helps to mitigate effects and often room temperature is maintained for long-terms.
> White Noise' machines and multi-functional clock radios are provided in each bedroom to help mitigate system sounds. Earplugs are also provided.

The unit features a spacious and scenic front deck and door that's a private entrance. Acccess is by key-lockbox beside the door, so guests can plan to arrive anytime that's convenient. There is no check-in process required.

Getting Around:
The Winter Park-Fraser Hideout is conveniently located in the Winter Park Lodge II complex and is within a short walk of downtown Fraser restaurants, breweries, the Safeway market, and retail shops.

Your stay will include free parking for two vehicles in the complex parking lot.

Fraser Valley Bus Service (bus stop is very close to condo):
'The Lift' bus system stop is a short walk from the condo. The 'Black Line' is the primary route that serves the condo and typically runs at frequent intervals. Various other routes serve the condo. The Fraser Safeway is a bus system hub, providing access to Denver-bound buses, as well as west-bound Steamboat Springs & Granby stops from Fraser. Downloading 'The Lift' mobile app is the best way to monitor bus schedules at stops throughout Fraser & Winter Park. There's also a 'real-time' feature that indicates progress by buses throughout the valley so that one can easily verify bus locations and scheduling.

Train Service from metro Denver: Amtrak features 'The Winter Park Express' ski train service on weekends during the ski season from Downtown Denver direct to Winter Park Resort & Fraser.

Thank you for reviewing our 'Winter Park-Fraser Hideout' listing and we hope that you'll book with us. Thanks so much. Tom & Cindy Schippert

Great value

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Great for a small family or group of friends. Lots of room in both bedrooms. The owner was great with communication. Will be on our list for future stays.

Cindy and I are thrilled for our guests to enjoy the Fraser Valley and all of the resort activities that Winter Park and Fraser have to offer. Of course, we enjoy skiing, hiking and mountain biking - but we take part in so much more. From live music, to cultural events, rodeos, festivals, and fun attractions that taking place throughout the valley, we look forward to all of the fun that instore throughout the year.

Why they chose this property

We simply love the view from our large front deck with high peaks in the distance, with the perfect alignment to watch mesmerizing sunsets- every day! Since the Town of Fraser is a short walk (10 minutes at most). Restaurants, bars and eateries are in very close proximity, as are markets, bait and tackle shops for fishing, and other boutiques. The Town of Winter Park is a short/free bus ride, and stops are also in short walking distance from the front door. On ski days, the bus is a great way to get to the Winter Park Resort saving guests the drive to the mountain and search for parking. The resort bus stop drops guests off at the resort base and a short walk to the Winter Park base's 8-person gondola.

What makes this property unique

The "Hideout" is unique in its comfort and location. We also feature a year-round hot-tub, and seasonal heated pool. A great choice for families any time of year.
