Alexander Haus Main @Camp Driftwood-Stay on River!

Alexander Haus Main @Camp Driftwood Asheville is the perfect place to stay for your weekend or weeklong stay! This fully remodeled two bedroom, one bath has a real kitchen, with prep space! Prepare an actual holiday feast- dine inside at Dining Nook with seating for 6 pp. Make use of the gas grill on the deck- overlooking the wide lawn leading to the river. Enjoy your meal on the covered deck or take it to the Riverside picnic table! Asheville is 15 mins away, but you may just stay here n play!

Alexander Haus Main in the lower portion of a two story rental, you may see the folks from upstairs out in the lawn or playing in the River. As for running into us, catch us if you can:) No really, we are around if you should need us, but the Camp spans 1/3 of a mile of River frontage-so we are up, down and all around! You may see us sneaking into the maintenance room in the basement of the house, but we try to be as unobtrusive as possible!

We provide detailed directions and check in information for you to check yourself in.

As well as a phone number should you really need to get ahold of us emergency style.

Alexander Haus Main is part of a tiny campground, squished on a little strip of land between The French Broad River and Old Marshall Highway! Guests at Alex Haus have access to the whole camp, which spans about 1/3 of a mile of river frontage. Feel free to stroll the length of the grounds and enjoy the Community Firepit, Swimming Beach, and Fishing Beach. Big fun-walk or have some one drive you up to the top end of camp and tube/float/boat back down to Alex Haus!!

The grounds right around Alex Haus are really only used by guests in Alex Haus Main and the Roost at Alex Haus, but you may see folks exiting the river with their tubes:)

Picturesque location, poor communication
We greatly enjoyed our time at Alexander Haus. It was comfy, clean, and right on the river! I highly recommend this place to stay The camp is a little slow at responding to messages, sometimes 24 hr turn around. Not a problem for most I’m sure because they do a good job at sending you all the information up front. But if anything happens during your stay it is hard to get ahold of anyone Of note: since it is rustic there is poor cell reception. There were storms while we were there and electricity and water were lost for > 12 hours. Of course not the camp’s fault but with poor reception and delayed communication it was a hardship to not be able to get ahold of someone easily.

Best place to stay in WNC
This is a perfect getaway! We had a blast at Alexander Haus Main! The decor was tasteful, the beds were comfortable. The view was serene. Hearing the water was so relaxing. The host was super responsive and made sure we had all that we needed.I highly recommend this place for anyone considering visitng Asheville. It's just 10 - 15 min to town but feels like the middle of nowhere.

Absolutely loved my weekend at Alexander house. Quiet, peaceful, and the river just a few feet away. Everything you could possibly need at your finger tips. Very clean and comfortable. Being clean is the most important thing and this place was spotless. Management was top notch as well. Just bring your food, fishing poles and a change of clothes. You will be glad you stayed.

Most relaxing stay ever!
Quaint, cozy and warm spot with plenty of room to spread out with 2 bedrooms, porch and outdoor area. Loved everything about this place from the building to the location.
