Whitewater Chalet
We were in town for a few concerts at Salvage Station. This was a perfect little getaway stay. I enjoyed the beautiful view from the balconies and the sound of the rushing River! Peaceful & relaxing ❤️

Peaceful Weekend
Whitewater Chalet was amazing. Awesome location on the river and a soon as you open the door, you're welcomed with the sound of rushing water. I absolutely loved this place. *If stairs are a problem for you, this is not the right place for you. They are a little steep and the treads aren't very deep. If stairs aren't an issue, you'd be a fool not to book this place!

Cool Place
Cool Little place, We stayed in the Chalet for a few nights. It's nice to be able to open the door while you sleep and listen to the River all night. The place is loaded with everything you need. One thing they could do is put in a king size bed that is a little bit more firm. The current bed is too small and too soft. Great place to chill.

Great Stay!
My husband and I had such a great stay at Whitewater Chalet. The place is exactly as the pictures describe it to be. Waking up and hearing the river every morning was such a nice little touch. We hope to be back soon!

Gem on the River!
My stay at the Whitewater Chalet was just perfect. The house was clean, comfortable, and had all amenities needed. Being right on the river was the best part! We fished, had campfires, grilled out, and even did some shopping in downtown Asheville. If you’re looking for beauty and serenity, I recommend this gem by the river.

great stay in a beautiful spot
The Whitewater Chalet made a fantastic spot for a mini-vacation. The highlights for us were the two porches and the location right above some lovely rapids in the French Broad. During our time chilling on the porch, we saw great blue herons, an egret, and a bunch of kids learning to kayak. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was great because we made & ate most meals at the chalet. Everything was clean. The upstairs bedroom was very pretty and comfortable, and I loved being able to walk right out onto the upper porch. The stairs to the bedroom are a little steep, just in case that's an issue. The other thing to be aware of, as the website states, Camp Driftwood is a narrow strip right alongside a fairly busy two-lane road. The sound of cars can be pretty noticable during the day, but it quiets considerably at night. And in the chalet the beautiful sound of the river is loud enough on the porches & in the front room to totally drown out those sounds. It's very peaceful and restful. We had a wonderful time and really hope to come back.
