About this property

Private, cozy, and charming cabin just minutes from town.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A classic Vermont camp-style cottage, with two comfy beds (one bedroom and one standing-height loft), and plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature from inside the vaulted living room or outside on the back patio.

Take a break from life and enjoy all beautiful Brattleboro has to offer. We are just a short 7-minute drive to downtown Brattleboro.

About our space:
A cozy cottage with two rooms and a loft, plus a bathroom and outdoor space. The main living room boasts 16-foot ceilings and is the perfect place to curl up on the couch with a good book or enjoy an afternoon of puzzles and board games with the whole family. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed and access to the back patio (please note this bedroom does not have a door). There is also a bonus loft (up a ladder) with a full-size bed and a big window overlooking an old picturesque field and barn. Should you need more beds or prefer to stay on the main level the couch also pulls out into a comfy full-size bed. Fresh linens are provided for both beds, we make the downstairs bed and provided sheets folded in a basket at the foot of the loft bed should you choose to use both.

There is a half bath inside and an outdoor shower outside (with hot water). By the back patio, there is a grill for cookouts which also has a burner for those tasty morning pancakes.

Please note, during the main season the cabin is not heated (though it is very well insulated and always stays a pleasant temperature.) . The wood pellet stove you can see in some photos is only installed in the winter months.

Guest access:
You will have the cottage all to yourself. We are set back about a quarter mile from the road so you can enjoy plenty of privacy while still being close to downtown.

We live in the main house further up the driveway, but we'll stay out of your way unless you reach out with any questions or requests.

Other things to note...
The property is set on just over ten acres of forest, we do have two very friendly dogs who you will see us walking down the driveway from time to time. We are up the hill on the same driveway but other than us there are no visible neighbors.

Cute little Cabin with the Basics
This stay meant a lot to me, since I recently finished battling cancer. I was looking for a nice getaway, and time away from the hospital. I took my boyfriend along, who also really needed a getaway from working long hours as well. Overall, cute little cabin with the basics. My ONLY critiques would be to make it so the outdoor shower is not facing the driveway leading up to the house, and if there’s a way to put in a fire pit, I think that would be awesome! Privacy was also respected during the duration of the stay which is much appreciated! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely place! On a side note, a really good restaurant we went to was called The Marina, which was just a 10 minute drive from the cabin. Blazin’ food!
