Rising Tide - Sanctuary on Walker Pond
Nestled on the shores of Walker Pond, this newly built, off-grid, solar-powered, custom 3 bedroom, 2 living room, 2 bath sanctuary offers a peaceful retreat that sleeps 12. Perfect for a stay with friends or family, Rising Tide boasts modern amenities and a bright, open-plan design, featuring large windows that showcase the breathtaking surroundings. The property includes access to the pond, private dock, and a fire pit, ideal for relaxation and enjoying nature. Guests can enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, swimming, hiking, yoga by the water, or simply unwinding in this tranquil setting.
The space
Rising Tide is located down a secluded driveway, just a short stroll from Walker Pond. The driveway accommodates up to five cars, with the entire area open for guest use. The main entrance of the home is positioned closest to the parking area.
Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a bright and spacious entryway with acess to modern bathroom and laundry room. The entryway transitions into the open-concept kitchen, dining, and living room. Highlighted by a lofted ceiling and minimalistic decor, this area beautifully blends functionality with aesthetic appeal, offering a perfect space for communal gatherings.
Also on the main level, three peaceful sleeping areas await; two comfortable bedrooms each featuring queen-sized beds, and a living room couch that easily transforms into a queen-sized bed. The second bathroom, conveniently located on this floor, features a luxurious soaking tub with hand-held shower wand. A large picture window offers a view of the woods, creating a spa-like experience.
The third bedroom and another living room are situated on the second floor. This living room includes a queen-sized pull-out couch, a twin sleeper sofa, and a cozy sleeping nook furnished with a queen-sized bed. The lofted hallway on this floor is bathed in natural light from large windows that frame views of the property and the pond.
The living room’s sliding doors open to merge indoor comfort with outdoor tranquility, providing direct access to the outdoor dining area and fire pit. By the pond, kayaks, canoe, and paddleboards await you.
Additional rental space: There is an additional “sleeping cottage” near that house that has a day bed that pulls into a king-sized bed. This cottage can also be used as a private office space. Please inquire if interested!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home and property with the exception of any other buildings on the property. Please feel free to enjoy the dock and boats available by the pond. Please use the pond and watercrafts at your own risk!

About the host
Hosted by Nadejda Razi Robertson

In the fall of 2021, while continuing my work in Oregon as a trauma therapist and public health consultant focused on addressing the opioid epidemic, my life took an unexpected turn. For nearly 17 years, I had been deeply rooted in my work with clients, teams, leaders—especially those working on the front lines and in trauma-impacted communities. Little did I know when my partner, Josh, and I came for a brief visit to Maine in September of 2021, that my path was about to shift in a way that would open an entirely new door and dimension to my life and my work.
My grandparents first discovered the Blue Hill Peninsula in the 1950s, after receiving an invitation to visit from close family friends who had a home on Cape Rosier. My grandparents fell in love with the area, and within a few years, bought an old farmhouse one road over from their friend’s home. Maine soon became home base in the U.S. during the many years that my grandparents and their children (including my mother) were living abroad. Over the years, my family developed deep, multi-generational friendships and built a lasting connection to this most special region. By the time I was born in the late '70s, this place and many meaningful relationships were already integral to my family’s story.

Why they chose this property
Some of my fondest memories are of summer swims under the stars, in the rain, and ice-skating on Walker Pond, and the thought of having a retreat on Walker Pond was beyond a dream.
Nestled amidst Maine Heritage Trust conservation land, our property enjoys protection from surrounding development, ensuring peace and privacy. Miles of scenic trails are within walking distance, and the nearby public landing offers access to a sandy beach and picnic area.
Just minutes from the stunning Penobscot Bay, our property is centrally located for day trips to renowned destinations such as Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and Blue Hill. Ferry rides to nearby islands like Isle Au Haut and Vinalhaven await, adding to the adventure.

What makes this property unique
This space was meant to be more than a home; it is a sanctuary—a place for families, friends, and those doing front-line work, offering a refuge to recharge, heal, and reconnect. Children and families are coming to stay, swim, paddle, ice skate, and make memories. Friends, new and old, and from far and wide are gathering for vacations and time to be together. When it is not being used as a vacation rental, I facilitate retreats for leaders, helpers, and those seeking focused time and support to reconnect with themselves, their purpose, and wellbeing. And most rewarding of all, front-line workers—just as I had hoped—are coming to experience what they need, finding solace and restoration in this sanctuary we’ve created with the help and support of our community.
