LuLoRae's Mountain Cottage

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located home. Just 25 minutes from downton Chattanooga, 10 minutes from Rock City or Ruby Falls, and only 30 minutes from Mentone, Alabama! There's so much to do withing just minutes of our home. Everything from visiting Covenant college to Desoto Falls. Bicycle riding up Burkhaulter Gap Rd and hiking at Cloudland Canyon are other popular destinations. It is all right at your fingertips! The space
The property is complete with everything you need for a worry free home away from home. The kitchen is complete with appliances. Out on the side porch there's a Big Green Egg that's perfect for anything from hamburgers and hotdogs, to brisket and smoked chicken. The opportunities are endless with the Big Green Egg.

We have a private yard for the kids to play in year 'round, or for adults to just hang out and enjoy the outdoors in the spring and fall. The fall colors on Lookout Mountain are unbelievable, and usually come in strong around October.

In the back, there's plenty of room to park the cars, or even a truck with a utility trailer if you're in town for work. The main driveway is shared, so we only ask that nobody blocks the drive for the neighbors to get in and out.


Inside the house:

The master bedroom has a king size bed, night stands for storage, and a full closet for hanging clothes and storing baggage. The secondary bedroom has a full size bed, a night stand, and a small closet with plenty of room for hanging clothes as well. Upstairs is the fun room with FOUR twin size beds and private space for the kids to play around in when it's too hot, cold, or rainy outside. NOTE: the upstairs isn't connected to the hvac, but instead has a cooling and heating window unit that keeps the entire room very comfortable.

Plenty of room for 1-7 guests (up to 4 adults).


There are so many things to do and see in our area, but our home is an excellent place to hang out for the weekend or all week long. My wife and I moved to this location in 2012. We moved out in 2023, and now we're thankful to be able to share our home with visitors from all over! We're very excited to have you spend your vacation, work trip, or just a weekend stop here at our family's Lookout Mountain home away from home.

Please feel free to use the entire house living spaces. I.E. living room, bedrooms, kitchen, bath, and laundry. Guests are not permitted in the basement, or the attic storage areas, due to low ceilings and exposed pipes, electrical, and insulation.

There are no handicap entrances to the home.
