Nestled in a lovely wine country valley, the Sweet Sonoma Spyglass is a testament to architectural brilliance and environmental consciousness. As you step into this extraordinary haven, you'll be greeted by a harmonious blend of local wood, bespoke furnishings, wonderful amenities, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Sonoma orchards and vineyards.

The Spyglass features a cozy bedroom with a comfortable king-sized bed, as well as an adjacent Barrel Sauna , providing a serene sanctuary for rest, romance and rejuvenation.

The open-plan living area is adorned with handcrafted furniture and a charming dining space where you can savor meals while admiring the breathtaking beauty around you.

We do have a wonderful Barrel Sauna that you can enjoy during your stay. By booking this home, you are agreeing to follow these guidelines and acknowledge the associated risks --

SAUNA USE GUIDELINES

For your safety and to maintain compliance with our insurance policy, please adhere to the following rules:

1. Health & Safety:
- Guests with health conditions such as heart disease, respiratory issues, or those who are pregnant should consult a doctor before using the sauna.
- Do not use the sauna if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair your ability to safely enjoy it.
- Children under 16 years old are not permitted to use the sauna unless accompanied by an adult at all times.

2. Proper Use:
- No food, drinks, or glass items are allowed inside the sauna.
- Please shower and dry off before entering the sauna to prevent excessive moisture.
- Please only use the provided or purified water on the sauna stones. This is to prevent calcification on the sauna rocks, which can damage the heater.
- Pour only small amounts of water on the outer stones to allow proper vaporization by the sauna rocks. Avoid pouring water directly onto the heating elements, as this can cause damage.
- The sauna is typically set to around 165°F for an optimal experience.

3. Time Limits:
- Limit your sauna sessions to a maximum of 15-20 minutes to avoid overheating.
- After each use, please leave the door ajar to allow the sauna to fully dry out.

4. Prohibited Actions:
- No candles, incense, or open flames are allowed in or near the sauna.
- No smoking in or around the sauna.
- Do not use oils, lotions, or other substances that could affect the sauna's materials or pose a fire risk.
- No scents or essential oils should be applied to the rocks, as this may cause allergies in other guests and affect the sauna environment.

5. Damage and Liability:
- Any damages to the sauna caused by improper use will be the responsibility of the guest and may result in additional charges.
- Please note that failure to adhere to these rules may result in forfeiture of your security deposit and potential liability for damages not covered by our insurance.

Please respect the following Guidelines:

* NO FIRE ALLOWED. No candles, no bonfires, no bbq, no lighting sage, etc.

* No Smoking Indoors. If you do smoke, please use the "Owl Ashtrays" provided, and please make sure all butts are completely out.

* No Pets or animals. Abby, our neighbor's cat, might come to say hello. Please don't let her inside to be considerate of guests with allergies.

* Heating Food: Please be cautious when heating food, as the Spyglass has only a screen door for ventilation, no exhaust fan.

* Please drive slowly and carefully around the neighborhood. There are often sweet lil' ladies, children, deer, bunnies, etc. walking along the road, and you may not see them if you are driving at night or too fast.

* No parties, no big gatherings, no nonpaying guests. Please keep this place private, just for you, thanks!

* The Robes and the Stereo belong to the property. You may use them during your stay, but please do not remove them (you will get charged).

* There are a few other structures on the property. Please do not enter them, thanks.

OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT:

THE SAUNA AREA:

Before Use:
Please shower with provided biodegradable soap beforehand to remove any scents and to preserve the cedar aroma. Do not use oils or other products that could infuse the wood or cause allergies. Please use a towel to sit or lie down.

Heating Time:
Allow 45-60 minutes for the sauna to heat up. The time varies depending on the starting temperature and your desired heat. The typical range is 150-175°F (65-80°C). You can start enjoying the sauna before it reaches full temperature. Simply push the round dial to turn it on and twist the dial to adjust the temperature. The sauna is on when three wavy lines appear on the screen. Note: The sauna will not turn on if the door is open.

Water Application:
Do not throw water directly on the heating elements, as this may damage them and reduce steam quality. Water should evaporate from the sauna stones, not the elements. Apply water slowly around the edges, preferably using purified fresh water.

Enjoying the Sauna:
Stay hydrated and take breaks every 10-15 minutes to cool down with a cool shower or by relaxing on a lawn chair. Sauna with a friend in case you feel faint. Enjoy the post-sauna relaxation, but be mindful that your blood pressure may be affected, so take it easy.

Post Sauna:
Prop the door open slightly to allow the sauna to dry. Turn it off by ensuring the three wavy lines are no longer visible on the screen. The sauna also has a 3-hour timer for automatic shut-off.

Chair Covers:
The chairs are covered to protect them from sun and bird droppings. Feel free to uncover and use them, but please replace the covers afterward.

Robes:
Please leave the robes behind but feel free to take the slippers and eye mask if you would like them. Drinks are all free to enjoy.

Stereo:
Please leave the stereo in the spyglass after your stay plugged in. Emergency phone chargers if you need one are located under the fridge
