Welcome to Southern Pines Hideaway! Our home is located about 20 minutes from Downtown Asheville and contains 3 bedrooms plus a bonus room with 5 beds, 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, laundry room with washer and dryer, and central heat and air conditioning.
This spectacular home features multiple entertainment areas for all guests to enjoy. Cozy indoor spaces include a game room complete with foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, and arcade games (Marvel digital pinball machine and Pac-Man). There is an indoor movie theater with individual recliners for guest comfort. Lush outdoor spaces include a furnished deck with gas grill overlooking the yard, a hot tub with ample seating, and an outdoor seating area with colorful Adirondack chairs and a gas fire pit.
During your stay, you will have free wi-fi with high-speed internet, and there are smart TVs for you to sign into your own streaming services. Parking is available outside on the driveway for 2-3 cars (depending on vehicle size). For families with young children, a Graco Pack-n-Play and Ingenuity SmartClean high chair are available upon request. Self check-in/check-out are done through an electronic keypad.
We are located near many areas of interest including Downtown Asheville and the River Arts District (12 miles), Biltmore Estate (14 miles), The North Carolina Arboretum (18 miles), French Broad River (13 miles), Western North Carolina Nature Center (18 miles), and Blue Ridge Mountains (45 miles).
Bedroom configurations are as follows: Bedroom #1) king bed, Bedroom #2) queen bed, Bedroom #3) queen bed, and Bonus Room) two bunk beds – twin on the top, full on the bottom.
HOUSE RULES: 1) No smoking/vaping, drugs, or illicit substances of any kind, 2) No parties or events, 3) No fireworks, 4) Type of pet allowed: dogs, and 5) Must be at least 25 years old to book, and the booking guest must be an occupant throughout the rental period.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: There is a maximum capacity of 10 persons including infants/children. Occupants exceeding the stated number of guests on the rental reservation will be charged an extra guest fee of $50 per person, per night.
PET POLICY: We love animals and are happy to welcome a maximum of 3 dogs per stay. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate other types of pets at this time. Dogs must be housebroken, and a non-refundable pet fee of $200 per dog, per stay will apply. In general, we do not recommend leaving pets alone in an environment that is unfamiliar to them. However, we trust that you know your pets best and will choose strategies that will keep them safe and minimize risk of damage to our home (i.e. crating, not leaving them home alone, etc.).
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT: The booking guest must sign a rental agreement, provide a copy of a government-issued photo ID for verification, and submit credit card information to confirm their reservation. Once all the above items are received, door access codes will be provided 24 hours prior to check-in. A $300 security deposit will be HELD on the credit card for any extra cleaning fees, repairs, or damages incurred. If there are no additional charges for damages/repairs/extra cleaning, this credit card hold will be released within 3 days of check-out.
SELF CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:
Check-in: no earlier than 4:00 PM EST
Check-out: no later than 10:00 AM EST
Any requests for early check-in or late check-out times will require written approval by the host. In order to provide adequate time for our cleaning team to prepare the home for the next reservation, guests who check out after 10:00 AM EST will be charged a prorated late fee of $100 per hour.
STARTER SET OF SUPPLIES: We provide a starter set of supplies including 1) K-cups, 2) paper towels, 3) toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), 4) dishwasher pods, 5) hand soap, 6) shampoo / conditioner / body wash, 7) trash bags / liners for garbage receptacles, 8) laundry detergent pods, and 9) dog waste bags for those guests who indicate in the booking that they will bring their dogs along. Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to replenish after the initial supplies run out.
SECURITY: For safety reasons, there are 4 exterior security cameras that are not monitored but record video and sound 24/7. They are motion-activated and overlook the front door, front yard, driveway, and the backyard. There are no interior cameras, and no interior areas are visible on any of the 4 exterior cameras.
INSECTS AND WILDLIFE: You may encounter insects and wildlife during your stay. We have regular comprehensive pest control performed, but it is impossible to keep any home completely free of pests. To minimize insect entry, please close all doors and windows when not in use. Avoid attracting unwanted attention from other wildlife by not leaving food outside and by placing all trash in the proper receptacles.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Guest receives 100.00% (less $100.00 cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 14 days before arrival. Guest receives 50.00% (less $100.00 cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 7 days before arrival. No refunds within 7 days of arrival.
No refunds will be given outside of the cancellation policy for things that are beyond our control. This includes, but is not limited to, power outages, other utility service interruptions, any park/recreation area closures, and inclement weather conditions or natural disasters. Travel insurance is recommended.
CONTACTING HOST: Communication with the host is best on the reservation messaging platform. The host is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM-9:00 PM EST and from 10:00 AM-09:00 PM EST on weekends and holidays.
GUEST ACCESS: Door access codes will be provided 24 hours prior to check-in. Guests will have access to the entire home. Areas that are off-limits inside the house include a private locked closet and a utility room – there will be signs on these doors stating “Private.” There is a locked metal cabinet in the game lounge that is for our cleaning team and off-limits to guests.
