New! Barndominium apartment (barn has no animals or machinery). Quiet, peaceful, close to Red Cedar Lake. Attending a wedding at Stout Island? Perfect- 1/2 mile from the Stout Boat Launch. Attending a festival in Hayward, Stone Lake, Rice Lake or the Blue Hills? Perfect location. ATV trip? Access to many Barron, Sawyer, Rusk trails (new access given to our area via Hwy V). Want a less expensive place to stay for boating, fishing vacation? Perfect- located 2 miles south of the Barron County campground/boat launch. Also boat rentals available 2 miles south in Mikana. (Drive to your boat rental, already parked at a channel dock, load and go for the day). Ice fishing -direct access can be given to lake (locals fish houses very nearby). Skiing the Birkebeiner? Many stay in Birchwood for the event, less tourists for dining, easy to access. Hiking the Ice Age Trails or Ski the trails in the Blue Hills or Christy Mountain downhill? Perfect 20 minute drive through the gorgeous remote Blue Hills (2nd highest point in WI). Nestled on 9 acres this delightful apartment features 2 queen beds in 2 bedrooms. With heating, AC, and high speed fiber optic WiFi, guests can unwind in the cozy living space. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and all appointments. Fully appointed kitchen, one TV, wonderful screen porch to watch the sunset. And remember in winter ice fish, downhill and cross country ski and snow shoe. Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Birchwood and our pretty little spot has to offer. Please note at certain times access may be available to a lake dock (across the road) with canoe, paddle boards and Kayak.

Long time licensed Realtor in the State of WI. We have a family of 21! I needed this Barndominium next door to my summer home for storing boats and garden equipment. Turns out Barron County requires an apartment built in a barn if there is no house on the exact parcel! Who knew! So lucky for you as this cute cozy quiet place is available to you enjoy also. I love the North Woods of Wisconsin and want to share this special area of state called the Blue Hills. In fact, I bought my first 40 acres in 1978 in the Blue Hills, and I have explored many of the lakes, rustic roads and trails. Nearby is the extensive Ice Age Trail, miles of ATV trails, fun Christy Mt Ski Hill, and thousands of acres of forest land. All seasons are beautiful and the clean clear atmosphere-with most days year round sunny, high pressure days!
