Goed standaard huis
We hebben hier quarantaine gedaan. Leuk dat er fietsen beschikbaar zijn. Inrichting mocht wat meer zijn, voor een lang verblijf. Bvb bureau, kasten beschikbaar voor kledij. Maar wel goed huis!

Great house for a real Japanese experience in Tokyo
We stayed in the house for 7 Days end of December 2019 to Jan 2020 The house is large and well equipped and it’s easy to cook tsurumaki area is very quiet and residential. Having lived in Japan before we enjoyed our stay very much . This is very nice for people who want to stay away from the busy area like Shibuya or Shinjuku .. that being said one can be in Shibuya in 30 min Gotokuji temple is only 17 min away ( on foot) and sangenjaya ( for ships, food and and bars) is 25 min away For winter stay, one should now that it gets very cold in Japanese houses ( similarly it can get very warm in summer) and we need to use air conditioning extensively ( incl during the night)

Great house but a bit more suburban than central Tokyo
The property was comfortable and our group of three (60 + ) adults, our daughter( 41) grandson (11)enjoyed our stay here . It was a bit of a walk to the local station but connected well with Shibuya and from there , with the Tokyo metro to get around. We did also try eating at a couple of local restaurants, which were fine.

Spacious, comfortable home in Tokyo
This lovely home is super clean, spacious and comfortable for our group of 8 to stay during our first visit in Tokyo. It is hard to believe you can find such a big home with all the amenities in the heart of Tokyo. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is modern and has all you need to make your meals for a big family; the main bath room is big and also houses the washer and dryer; the family room has enough seating and a big TV for our group to enjoy movies at night. We even had a mobile wifi box which allowed us access to internet while we on the road. The host, Chieko is very attentative to the details. She offered lots of information from instructions for use of all equipment in the house, maps of the public transit in Tokyo, places to visit and even contacted us in advance for our preferredleeping arrangement to ensure our stay is as comfortable as possible. The neighborhood is what made us impressed and remember most: clean, quiet and attractive with flower hedges and nice curb appeal. We didn't have a chance to use the bicycles available at the house as there are many stores within short walks in the area and the bus stop is also nearby All in all, we very much enjoy our stay at Chieko's home.

Spacious house in quiet neighbourhood
It was such a refreshing change to actually have a house with separate bedrooms that could accommodate a group of people comfortably. As our group only ended up being 3 (from 10), Cheiko's house was more than ample as 3 of the rooms were not used at all. The added touches of extras within the house was appreciated - such as portable wifi (which we did not need to use as we organised our own) and a kitchen full of utensils. The lounge / dining kitchen area was open plan with plenty of space and so it was easy to keep involved with conversations for those that ended up cooking. The downstairs bathroom area was large with plenty of room. The walk to the Sakurashinmachie station from the house was 15 minutes with the supermarket along the way. We did not have a chance to enjoy using the bicycles at the house as the weather was a bit cool. Cheiko kept in touch with us via WhatsApp and made sure all was ok during our stay. The neighbourhood was quiet which we really liked. We should certainly come back here again when we return to Tokyo. Thank you Cheiko for the great time we had at your house and would fully recommend it for large groups of people wishing to have a unique stay in Tokyo.

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient
Our family of nine (three generations) stayed here very comfortably for a week. The location was great - about a 10 minute walk to the station and then a few stops to Shibuya station. There are good restaurants near the station and on the way to the house, including a good soba place and a surprisingly good pizza place. The house was very clean, and we had plenty of seating. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable too. Overall we were very happy with our stay!

CLEAN, MODERN AND SPACIOUS
The house itself is really spacious, especially for Tokyo. We were 6 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of room for all. The facilities were all clean and modern, AC worked a treat especially during the hot humid days. Also quality linen and towels which was a nice touch! The house is located in between Kamimachi and Sakura Shinmachi stations in a super quiet neighborhood. We used Sakura Shinmachi station the most - it's a ten minute walk (longer if you have kids in tow as we did). There were lots of shops that we only discovered on the last day heading left out of the north exit so be sure to have a look (you need to head right out of the north exit to get to the house) Overall, we had a really great stay and we would definitely recommend this place for large groups in Tokyo!

Beautiful home and great location!
This is a wonderful home, located in a quiet neighborhood yet close to subway stops and the rest of Tokyo. Our family spent only 2 short days here but it was perfect for our needs. Multiple bedrooms and sleeping options, a modern kitchen and home and best of all a very conscientious and responsive host, Chieko. We spent quite a bit of our time strolling through the neighborhood and visiting several smaller parks and a shrine, shopping at the local stores for food and also coffee/snacks. Everything was within walking distance and the local people were very kind and helpful. We had no issues in trying to be self-sufficient. Chieko was a great host and went above and beyond in making sure our first stay in Tokyo would be memorable. Despite the short notice and high demand during the cherry blossom season she managed to arrange for pickup, 2 tours and airport transportation for us. Our family had a great time and this home is definitely a gem for those looking to experience a quieter, relaxed Japanese neighborhood yet are only a short subway ride away from the rest of the experiences that Tokyo offers.

Really good on all fronts!
My friends and I all really enjoyed staying in Chieko's wonderful Tokyo house. Chieko was always available at short notice to help answer any questions we had find ways to help us if we needed it in any way. She was always willing to do whatever she could to help us have the best possible stay. The house has very good high speed internet and plenty of hot water for everyone to have showers in the morning even if everyone is leaving around the same time for meetings or whatever they are going out for. Thank you Chieko for all your help and for making your great house available for people to rent whilst staying in Tokyo. Having our Tokyo 'home away from home' really helped make everyone's stay really good!!

Very close to Shibuya and easy walk to the train.
Chieko, our host, was absolutely amazing. Our family, of 10, was well accommodated with comfy beds, towels, comforters, and free laundry. Chieko was very easy to connect with and helped us figure out Tokyo! The house was very clean and warm. The pictures posted are beautiful, but in person- the house is big, cozy, comfortable for big groups, and just as beautiful! The kitchen was well equipped and the dining room table was a big enough to have family breakfast and dinner! Overall, my experience with this home exceeds five stars and I highly recommend this rental. Our family is planning a return back to Chieko’s home because we loved the experience so much!

Perfect big house for large group
A large house in, or around, Tokyo is hard to find but this one was perfect! We had a group of 7 women ranging in age from 28 to 86 and we each wanted our own bed. This this house had just that. Chieko, the owner contacted me immediately after my booking was confirmed to start the conversation about our stay. We were in contact the entire time during our stay as she checked if we needed anything. When we arrived, the house was clean and ready for our group. After settling in we walked to the grocery store recommended by Chieko and stocked up for breakfast for the next several days. Thank goodness for the large refrigerator, it held all our cold items with no problem. We were also thankful for the dishwasher. The downstairs bathroom where the shower and bath tub are located also houses the clothes washer/dryer. The space is large enough for three women to apply makeup whilst one is showering and another checking a load of laundry! Yes, we had a few mornings when that happened. Also located on the first (bottom) floor is a WC. The second floor, just out side the kitchen has the other WC. The directions and maps provided by Chieko to the subway stop were also very helpful and the walk was nice and quiet through the neighborhood streets. We were not able to use the bicycles because of the rainy weather but if if had been sunny, we would have! Chieko had offered to help us arrange a minibus from the airport to the house but we didn't need that. We did, however, need transportation to the airport when we left because it was going to be raining and we didn't want to have to walk to the subway in the rain. She arranged a very nice, large minibus for our transportation, large enough for 7 women and their luggage. As I mentioned, we bought our food for breakfast, including coffee but the last day had the kitchen clean for check out so we sought a coffee shop. My daughter found a lovely local shop not too far from the house, I think the walk was 87 minutes. It is called Your Daily/Coffee. It is a local Tokyo chain. We recommend it if you are looking for somewhere close to get delicious coffee and hot chocolate. If I go back to Tokyo with a large group, this will be the first place I check to see if it is available! If you have a large group, this is the place for you!

Terrific spacious home
We had a great time staying at the house for a month. The house is very spacious with 5 bedrooms, open livinng and kitchen/dining room area, and 2 bathrooms. 10 minute walk to subway and 4 stops to Shibuya station. Our host responded to all our inquiries in a timely manner. All necessities are provided - toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, dish detergent, pots/pans, dishes, utensils, etc... The house is located at a quiet residential area. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

Fantastic home for small groups/families!
We so enjoyed our recent visit to Setagaya (very close to Shibuya) because of the lovely home Chieko and Yulin Li make available to visitors! We appreciated having bedrooms for our young adults as well as a master for us and appreciated the layout, with our bedroom being upstairs along with family/dining/kitchen area so since we got up early, we didn't disturb the ones sleeping in. Home has everything you need to be comfortable and well equipped, including being able to use the bikes. It was also appreciated having a washer/dryer. It's a very nice area to get around and we enjoyed walking to the metro station area and grabbing groceries, a quick meal, coffee and pastries before heading out for the day. Chieko was always available for questions via messaging and was a great host! We would definitely rent again and recommend to anyone traveling to the Tokyo area.

Great Home, Great Place
House was very clean, everything we needed was there. The neighborhood was very quiet and clean, close to shops, great restaurants ( especially Cafe Angelina, it`s special )and the subway ( only 10 minutes away from this home). People are very friendly and helpful. There are 5 bedrooms, one of them is a Tatami room, we europeans unfortunately are not used to the scent of those mats, because of this we did not use this room. Apart from that our time was to short and had a great time in Japan and this house.

Excellent. Quiet, close to stores, food, metro.
We stayed in this house for two weeks while attending conferences in eastern and western Tokyo. The location was ideal for us with close access (15-min walk) to train station and grocery stores. There are small, but amazing restaurants in close proximity as well, and Shibuya is just a few stops away. Staying in the house made us feel more like residents of Tokyo and it was a wonderful experience to blend in with the daily routines of the residents. The house itself is amazing. It is large with modern and up-scale appliances. Each room has its own AC unit, making it convenient to accommodate individual persons preferred temperature setting. The neighborhood is very quiet and definitely belong in the more up-scale category. The host is extremely helpful and very responsive. All-in-all, we have an amazing experience at this house and plan on coming back each year if possible. Thank you Chieko!!!

Spacious, bright and comfortable
My parents and their friends stayed in this house together for 2 weeks and had a wonderful experience. For Japan, this house was very spacious and the kitchen was good - well stocked with good appliances and an 8 seater dining table. The shower area was lovely - big and plenty of storage space. This host was extremely attentive and helpful and checked on us every step of the way. She even ordered something for the kitchen that was missing, and it was delivered within a day. The walk to the station was too long for my parents (aged 75 with some walking issues) but others would probably think its fine. In any case, we could flag down a taxi from around the corner and it only cost the flag fall fare (410yen) to get to the station each day. The polished wooden staircase without a hand rail (often the case in Japan) was a bit scary for my father who was recovering from a broken leg, but again, this might not bother many other people. It was okay for me, since I live in Japan and am used to it. All in all, it was a great choice of accommodation for my family to be able to visit me, and stay in the comfort of an actual house, instead of a hotel. I definitely recommend this to others.

Nice, cozy clean well-equipped house
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this nice, cozy house in the quiet neighborhood of Setagaya. It is located just a few minutes walk to convenience stores, and although the metro was farther, it is within easy walking distance.. The house is well-equipped and well-stocked. The rooms are a good size and, although the furnishings are basic, they are very clean and comfortable. The one bathroom required some coordination for our group of 8, but it worked out okay. The second toilet was very useful. The bicycles that Chieko kindly left for our use came in handy for exploring the neighborhood and bringing home the groceries. Thank you, Chieko, for being an attentive and generous host.

A great and safe neighborhood! 100% recommend.
I had a lovely time at this place!! The house was very clean, spacious, and just so luxurious. The station, shops, and restaurants were all in a walkable distance. There were cafes, bookstores, and yummy restaurants all around the station too. It was exciting to just hang around as if I lived in the area! Also, there was great communication between me and the host and the host kept in touch with me throughout my stay. The house was such a soothing place to come home to after long days in the city. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a comfortable stay in Tokyo!

The Perfect Tokyo Stay
Our party of eight, two families of four from California, just finished a 5-night stay in Chieko's house in Setagaya. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is just as impressive as the pictures indicate, what you see is what you get...and more. A 5-bedroom is a rare find anywhere in Tokyo and the size of the rooms, from the bedrooms to the common areas, made for a very comfortable stay. We were able to rest in fine fashion each night and recharge our batteries for more running around the many sights of Tokyo. With restaurants around the train stations (Sakurashinmachi on the Den-En Toshi Line and Kamimachi Station on the Setagaya Line), there were plenty of opportunities to eat (David's Ramen and Osoba Restaurant, very nice) or bring back food nearby supermarkets, the house is located nicely and equipped with plenty of dishware, etc. The entire house was very clean upon check-in, the furnishings in great condition and only top quality materials and appliances were used. Staying in the neighborhood allowed us to be around local Japanese as they went about their daily tasks, a rare glimpse that you can't get staying in hotels located in commercial areas. It's a great, quiet neighborhood, easy to get around on foot or bike (5 adult bikes and one kids bike available at the house). But the house and neighborhood are only part of the good story about the stay...from weeks before our visit and throughout our stay, Chieko was easily accessible and checked in on us by instant messaging (Line) to make sure we enjoyed our stay in the house and enjoyed Tokyo. She continued to offer help and assistance throughout our entire Japan stay. On our last day, at our request, she arranged for two taxis to pick us up to take us to Shibuya Station to catch the Narita Express train (NEX) to the airport. She spoke to the drivers via telephone to make sure we got dropped off in the right place (New South Gate is close to the NEX platform no.4). I would wholeheartedly recommend this home for a Tokyo stay and would not hesitate to return for a stay. Thanks, Chieko and Yulin!

This pretty property is perfect for a family or a group traveling.
The Setagaya home was a wonderful home, fully equipped with all amenities and very modern and clean. There were 5 friends in our group and it was wonderful to be able to retreat to our own rooms after long days out exploring Tokyo. It was about a mile walk to the subway but loved how it is located in a quiet, pretty residential area. The owner was available for advise and help and was genuinely concerned that we were comfortable. Very nice. We had a lovely stay.
