About this property
New Crib on the Block, a 90s pad! A respite for the weary time traveler.
Rewind to the nostalgia and optimism of the 90s, the peak of our civilization!
Throughout this upper duplex you'll find artwork and designs, music, movies, books, magazines and video games to transport you back to a simpler time, before social media when we did all our socializing in person because the internet was so slow!
We have purposefully omitted any "smart" TVs, instead providing a top-of-the-line CRT TV connected to a VCR, a PS2 (which doubles as a DVD player) and a Nintendo 64. A library of hit movies and feel-good throwback TV shows are provided, as well as a curated selection of multi-player titles for the consoles. We want you to feel reconnected to your family and friends after spending some time here.
The back yard is spacious, with beautiful gardens packed with pollinator-friendly plants, a covered patio, firepit lounge, and an area for outdoor dining and grilling. Enjoy a peaceful morning coffee relaxing in the hammock, or gather around a crackling fire in the evening after a day out exploring the city.
When you're ready for some shut-eye, there is a comfortable bedroom facing the street with a queen bed, a secondary bedroom overlooking the back yard with two twin beds, and if you need a third room to sleep, the bean bag in the living room opens up into another twin mattress on the floor. Comfortably sleeps four adults.
The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped and stocked with spices and oils so you can prepare a home cooked meal or bake some sweets during your stay.
The bathroom is small, but freshly remodeled and stocked with towels, tissue & toiletries, and we've left extras of important items you may have forgotten to pack throughout the space.
The location is a 7-10 minute drive from the 35W, I-94 and 694 freeways, the downtown core, and the main UMN campus. Free parking on a quiet residential street, or there is a private parking space for guests in the alley. One block from the #10 bus line heading downtown. Walkable to parks, dining and shopping.
No commercial activity or unregistered guests are allowed.
