Worst short term experience
Absolutely worst experience I’ve ever encountered with a short term rental in the world. Literally. I’ve used other apps to book places in Mexico and all around the U.S. and never have I been treated so poorly by a property owner. The original listing, not sure if it’s been changed yet, said the property was 1300sqft. Turns out that also included a duplex that was not a part of our rental. I booked the place specifically because of our family size and length of stay. If I had known it was smaller I wouldn’t have booked it.When I let VRBO and the owner know of my dissatisfaction she said “well what do you want me to do?” Well I wanted a significant discount and she declined. VRBO was also no help. Later the next day, the A/C went out and she again was no help. When my dad called her to ask about it she started berating him and then she demanded we leave the property immediately. Mind you it’s now 9pm and I have a 2 year old that just went to sleep and a house full of items as we were staying there because we had sold our house and it would be a month before our new one was ready. So she kicked us out and then refused to give us our money back claiming that we she had to keep the credit card processing fee and the cleaning fee. There was nothing to clean as we only stayed at the place for about 7 hours and hadn’t done anything.
