I give this property an excellent rating. We had to leave our condo for haz mat removal and we ended up at a Hilton Hotel in the center of Waikiki. Our criteria were pet friendly, price, and king bed. I saved about 15 properties that met my and let my wife pick. She actually picked the same one I thought based on the criteria and picture. We have lived in Waikiki for 18 years and we bought here because its nice and an easy walk to the beach. We have never gone out much. So my surprise was how much was within easy walking distance. Across the street was the International Market Place a new, beautiful mall. But there were dozen of bars and restuaranst within a 1 block radius. On the corner street was a taquiria, and down the block a Korean restaurant, an Izakaya (Japanese Restuarant), 2-highly rated bars, and scuba dive shop which can take you on some great dives off Waikiki. Our room surprised us in that it was larger, with a city view better than the Hilton we stayed at in San Fran. The beds were great and the TV was large flat panel high def. And the beach was a couple of blocks away. Furthermore buses run every 15 minutes and Diamond Head and beyonds Waikiki is a relatively easy bus ride away. I should sayvthecrestuarant in thevhotel is ecellent and offers a 15 percent dicount to hotel guests, and the cafe is actually a cheaper better alternative in terms of lines. As to the real Hawaii King Kamehameha’s first capital 1795-1815 was Waikiki.
