About this property

This historic Farmhouse is tucked away in the prestigious Oyster Pond enclave where it sits on a knoll overlooking the Pond. The home enjoys sweeping water views out towards the ocean and boat access to a private barrier beach. The house has a shared dock. The pond is perfect for kayaks, stand up paddle boards and small motorized watercraft.

There is a wonderful charm though out the farmhouse. Sit on the sunporch and enjoy ultimate relaxation while watching osprey nesting, fish jumping , swans and beautiful sunsets. There are views through out the home of rolling meadows and water.

Beautiful Oyster Pond

The property and views are stunning. The house is a little dated and could use another bathroom, but the views and location make up for it! Needing to rent a boat and use it to access the beach was an added expenses and a bit of an inconvenience, but also a fun adventure, and we loved seeing the other houses along the beautiful pond. Seals in the ocean were fun to see, although generally considered a potential harbinger of sharks so, when combined with the rough seas, we avoided the ocean and instead enjoyed the pond side of the beach. We brought our own kayaks and loved paddling on the pond. The only real negative was a lot of goose poop everywhere on the rental property which I know the owners can’t control, but I felt like the steps and certain areas could have been cleaned before our arrival.

Amazing Place

We had an excellent vacation in this amazing property. The views were spectacular, the house met all of our needs and more. Extremely peaceful and comfortable. And Toni, the property manager couldn't have been nicer and so easy to contact. We're coming back.

Perfect, private, beach getaway!

The location is amazing: right on the water and a quick boat ride to a beautiful beach which was never crowded, yet only a short jaunt into Edgartown. The house is spacious and bright, ideal for a family or two to spread out, dogs included. And Shauna, who manages the property, was fantastic! Very responsive and friendly. We can't wait to come back.

A magical spot reminiscent of the former Vineyard

Toni and Shauna were fantastic hosts. The house is traditional Vineyard pond front - wide open water views, wildlife galore, quiet, remote. Having a boat and paddleboard or kayak were essential to enjoy the pond and ocean. Also a car is a must. But once you land you don’t want to leave. House is immaculate with pine floors and light colors. Ductless minis on first floor but window units in bedrooms, which were new but loud. Kitchen had everything and w/d were big and new. Loved sitting in porch with windows open to breeze. And the fog… pond beach not really useful except to launch due to bird poop and oyster shells. But beach down on south shore was spectacular, thus key to have boat. Probably a mile down pond. Price was fair for high season and location. Outdoor shower was nice. Hope to return.

A slice of paradise and solitude

This was our first trip to Martha's Vineyard, and, without a doubt, it was well worth it. Toni and Marc were fantastic as a point of contact with whom to work. They were accommodating, flexible, and gave use great information to make the most of the vacation. On check-in, they took the time and effort. to deliver us coffee for the next morning when I informed them we would be arriving late in the evening! The property itself was remarkable, historic, and rustic. One the one hand, It was serene and peaceful with open space for the kids and our dogs; meanwhile, restaurants, towns, and other attractions were no more than 20-25 minutes away. One of the most notable amenities was access to the private beach. It was not more than 10 minutes across the pond and we had it all to ourselves for several hours. I can't say enough about the home and, perhaps, the true indicator was that our 14 and 19 year-olds described it as the best vacation they've ever had!!! We would absolutely rent here again and encourage others to take advantage of it as well!

Little piece of heaven

Property owner was incredible. Communication was always friendly and reliable. Location - outstanding! We were able to rent a small boat and take it on a five minute ride through oyster pond to a private beach. No crowds or parking hassles. Accommodations were perfect. My family and I had all of the space we needed. I would absolutely recommend this property.

Beautiful spot on MV

I’ve rented many houses on the island and this one is my favorite. We loved sitting in the sun room and watching the Ospreys take care of their babies. We rented a boat and drove across the pond to the most beautiful beach with no crowds and seals in the water. Shauna was a very good host and we had everything we needed for a nice family time.
